Welcome Madaboutmoney! Sister was into Wham and best friend liked Spandau so it seemed only right I should want to marry John Taylor, although have shifted to Simon Le Bon since seeing them in concert two years ago. It was like going back in time...

dumpy - I'll join you in a dance round the house, could do with the exercise.

Think I'll put on Duran Duran Greatest Hits CD. Might motivate me into doing something other than hovering on here and reading Thomas the Tank stories to DS!!

    Morning all

I feel a bit lost this morning - DD's are back at school and I was up so early that I did the basic whip round, shined the sink and the washings on the line....

Now I can either - steam clean the bathroom................... or clean the hall carpet........

Or do neither and do a bit of crochet whilst watching a film. I've got to stay in and wait for someone to pick up some freecycle bits or I'd go for a walk....typically the suns shining for the first time in weeks!

Brekkie - Toast, fruit and cereal all round
Lunch - HM tomato and cheese flavour rolls with tuna mayo in.
Dinner - Toad in the hole with roast pots and veg (DD's favourite)

Isn't it quite sad when you really miss them by 10am!

Hope you all have a great day.

    foreverskint, penny & snoozer........

OOoooh!!! Donny Osmond! David Cassidy! I went to see David Essex in concert at Earls Court (1976 - I was 16 at the time)
And I owned a pair of tartan trousers, stripy socks & a tartan scarf, too ( I was younger at the time)
I am comforted by the fact that only the select few over a certain age will understand just what that signifies!
  • I loooooove the Bay City Rollers!!!

Oooo Donny Osmond, my first love! I went to the Graham Norton show a few years back...star guest was Rod Stewart. The next night the guest star was Donny. Oh how I kicked myself for going on extremely wrongest night!

Saw David Essex in a pub in Richmond in London once. He was my second love. He'd overdone the botox though and looked a bit weird, but I drooled anyway.

I came upstairs to collect washing - so why am I on the internet:confused:?

David Essex  David Cassidy:drool: now ya talking girls. I loved Bay City Rollers too, not cos they were good looking but cos they were scottish. :D I was the only one in my group of friends who wore the tartan shirts. They all thought I was a werido. When I was over there the lead singer was playing solo in the clubs. DH said forget it. :p

I'm not going for our evening walk tonight. Too weary & it's blowing a gale.

Pooky Tomorrow will seem more normal. It's the quietness I think.

Rizzle Enjoy the last of the proms. It will be nice to kick back and enjoy yourself before the big move.

    Seraphina, Tinkerbell & Dobie ((((((((hugs)))))))))))

Ronankfan Hope DS cake turns out nice & enjoy his party.

Well I'm off to look for a recipe. See you later.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
