Morning all! Good luck to all the youngsters starting back to school today. Hope it all goes well. My youngest daughter is quite unhappy with her college course and needs to see the lady in charge about changing. I just don't know whether to go with her or not. Im not very good at that sort of thing!
Feel tired this morning. Don't feel as though I slept that well so early night tonight and no alcohol I think! I think the fact that my daughter is upset is rubbing off on me. Im hoping we can get her sorted so that she can start enjoying college.
Hugs to everyone that needs one (I think I do this morning!) Cant decide what to make for dinner later. Everyone here is so fussy and will moan whatever I make!

Morning all :hello:
2 loads of washing on the line, another in the machine and another load waiting to go in  The kitchen and bathroom are sparkly, I just need to clean out the animals and vacuum but that can wait til I get home from work. I have a load of cards to make today and I MUST watch last night's Lost (I was tired and went to bed early so I taped it).
I'm just enjoying a nice hot chocolate, then I'm off for a shower then work. See you later, if I've got time :rotfl:Bulletproof0 -
Morning everyone. Three nights in a row of uninterupted sleep - I hardly know myself!
I am just back from dropping my boys at nursery. Costing me £8 a week on a special offer for them both to go for one extra morning. I had to think about if for at least a nanosecond. Bad mummy. I am cleaning and gardening till lunch time, just need to make myself switch the laptop off........'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Last day at w**k for me until next Wed. Will be picking up my Big Bro and his DW from the airport tonight.
Have some damsons and crab apples to pick though so looking forward to presenting them with jars of jelly to take back (together with Christmas cake I made for him!!)
See you later,
Slight senior moment here. Wondered how your bro would get his dishwasher through customs:rotfl:

Morning!
Both kids were off to college yesterday and back by lunch time as it was only an enrolling day, they dont have to go till tomorrow now. Oh well I just about had time to get the hoover round . I was using the reclaimed-from-late-FIL hoover and it is pretty good and much quieter. DS and I both have a problem with loud noises so I try to pick times when he isn't around ,to hoover.
Yesterday afternoon was spent picking and freezing runner beans and making tomato sauce with 6 lbs of tomatoes .The toms are doing really well which is suprising as they were the plants left over after I'd planted the best ones in the greenhouse. The sauce is a bit runny despite boiling for ages but still useable.
Today I've got to clear the turnip patch ready for the overwintering onions to go in. The turnips were not really a success. They grew beautifully but nobody really liked them so they have been left to rot in the ground.
Have a good day everyone!

Morning all,
Good luck to all starting school this morning. Mine start at 8.30 am so I'm usually back from dropping them by 8.50. My parents haven't surfaced yet, so I've sneaked on here. I would like to walk them to school but the nearest integrated primary is 3 miles away so I have to use the car.
Ds1 is so inspired by the Evacuation programme that he wanted a cooked breakfast this morning like bubble and squeak. He got bacon and leftover potatoes fried - not really rationing but there you go.....
Taking the parents on a tour of Dh's work this lunchtime and then we're going to lunch at Rain City courtesy of Mr Tesco.
Dinner is going to be roast chicken with all the works - including lots of roast parsnips! Tesco were selling the frozen 1 kg of ready to roast ones for 10p a few weeks ago - guess what we're eating this winter:D
Have a good day everyone - must go and put some stuff in the WM“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Washing is on the line and DW is churning while I sit here sipping tea.
Looks like house move is off as our buyer keeps moving goal posts.
May take estate agents advice and just build out our loft to make 2 extra rooms.
Really do not feel up to hassle or stress at the moment so have mentally given up on the idea.
May put on thick trousers and look for brambles to see if that cheers me up!

Morning all
First day back for DS1, and as ever it's bedlam, his friends call for him while he's halfway through his breakfast, the dog goes mad, DS2's hot chocolate everywhere, so gets sent to garden barking his head off, waking neighbours. General mayhem decends, as DS1 tries to clean teeth, searches for keys, cards etc even though I spent most of yesterday gently suggesting he do these things. (Refuse to do it for him anymore - accountable responsible etc...)
So from tomorrow I'm going to get ruthless, he has to be up and ready by 7.30, can't stand the madness !
Just had a nice walk with the dog by the river, calm and ready to tackle the ironing.
Hope you all have calmer starts to the day than me
