Good morning everyone!
Well I woke DS up at 6.30 cos he said he wanted to start going running in the morning (he's decided he wants to go into the army when he finishes "school" and wants to get fit) But so far he hasn't gone anywhere!!!!
Our car is being picked up by the buyer this afternoon, so I am going to spend today seeing if I can get things sorted out to pick up the new one tomorrow - depends whether insurance documents arrive in time.
Jockettuk - hope your DD enjoys her 1st day & all goes well.
PP - how did DD's 1st day go yesterday?
Have a good day everyone!0 -
Morning all.
I can't believe I'm up early again - was woken by a paw and a meow asking ME for breakfast - usually "daddy's" morning job, but he wanted his "mummy" - bless!
Have already fed cats, scrubbed the pine table, washed catsroom floor and injected the cat (diabetes). I've got apple/ginger jelly dripping slowly in the kitchen (house smells appley!) and 4lb blackberries Justin & I picked yesterday in the fridge waiting to be made into bramble jelly (my fave).
So, Snowyowl, you're about to become a straight blonde eh? Ain't dreams funny. Amanda, I'd personally just make sure the clothes I bought were USEFUL ones for the wardrobe (I've a habit of buying the wrong things when I do buy). If they're right, keep them
I can hear my bed calling me back, and I've only had three hours sleep, so... nite nite everyone - have a GREAT day and I'll "see" you here later.
BIG HUG for those that want one,
Jo0 -

Just fancied posting at the beginining og the day for a change. Must go and get DS up as my mum is taking him to the park today, whilst I get ready for w***. I picked another 2lb of blackberries yesterday for the freezer, and spent last night trying to decide what jam and jelly to make.
Have a good day everyone...POwieA woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0 -
Hi Everyone! I so wanted to come on and catch up with the daily thread last night, but when I looked it was at over 100 posts! I don't like posting when I can't read them all in case I miss something important, but I don't feel so bad if I wait for the next days thread IYKWIM?
Snowy (hugs) I'm glad to hear that you've been signed off by the doc, I've not yet read your other posts so I'll go back to those later. I do hope you've been given a long sick note, it sounds to me like you need to do some healing. Once you're up to it I'd really recomend some sort of exercise daily - not only does it make you feel better, but helps the body get back into a 'normal' sleeping pattern. What sort of thing do you enjoy? Swiming, yoga, aerobics, gym? Perhaps a great time to try something new, once you feel up to it?
Ok, I've forgotten almost everything else I read already! Chuckled at the cat waking jo up mind!
College has been great so far. We did a bit on natural beauty treatments, so might post some later. The potato hand cream seemed really good - but I couldn't use it because my hands react to potatoe. It's apparently very good for feet too - excellent at shifting dry skin (oops, nearly missed the 'f ' out of that!!!!)
Today I must do some housework - I'm pretty sure that next week I'll have quite a bit of homework, and we are expected to practice the treatments on our days off. Normal college week will be Monday through to Wednesday once we settle into a routine - so don't be suprised if I don't make it onto here until Thursday in future!
Right, best crack on. When I started typing this there were only 12 posts - heaven only knows where we're at now!
Best wishes to all,

:hello: Morning all,
The day has finally come when my kids go back to school:j jockettuk my eldest starts secondary school today too  All 3 of them are up and dressed, ds1 looking very smart in his uniform which is just a little too big. They are scoffing porridge with hm raspberry jam on at the mo.
A friend whose kids are all in the same classes as mine is coming round later to take ds1 and her dd to secondary school while I walk her other 2 and my other 2 to primary school. I hope it's going to be a good arrangement.I was very keen to continue the walk to primary school as it's so near. I didn't want to have to get them all in the car and drive across the city and back. Ds might get the bus home once he gets used to the 'big' school. I must say I'm looking forward to the day when my kids can all get themselves to and from school
Am looking forward to a peaceful day at home although I might go to the butcher's later. Have a good day everyone0 -
Good morning everyone,
Hope fullfully back to normal today, all children back to school (mine went yesterday, but had 3 older ones here who didnt start until today) so will be good to get back into a routine. Want to do cooking with the little ones today, i did make the xmas cake yeaterday, but although it looks and smells lovely, its more of just a fruit cake, not a christmas cake (hope that sounds ok) so will look for a different recipe. Does mean DS is pleased, he loves cake so will tuck into the fruit cake gladly!!!! But, he is the only one, so thats why i need to make some more cakes for everyone else!!!!!
Also need to do some banking, and pop to Waitrose for some milk and satsumas, so will do that after dropping my 2 off at school.
Right, little one is due any minute, so will pop back later!!!!
Have a lovely day everyone (hope your DD enjoys school today Rose, and your DS thriftlady!!!!!!!)
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0
