Hi Yall, You are so sweet Amanda666. I have been back from the coast a week now and have tried to post on the daily a couple of times but after reading 90+ posts have been too exhausted to type! I've only read the first 10 post today to conserve enough strength to post this LOL.

I didn't plan to come back until the last day before the kidz went to school but I was offered a few pennies to deliver the electoral role stuff last week so I grabbed it.

Big MATHLETT started secondary school this term and loves it not that I ever see him to hear about his day. He comes in changes and goes out again LOL I had a high old time tripping down memory lane as I helped him cover his rough book. Can you belive they still do that? I suggested he have burgandy flock wallpaper like I had but he wasn't impressed.

Med MATHLETT is in her last year at primary and thinks her new class is KWL which she tells me is a 'way good way to write COOL' why don't they just draw Chads on everything like we did?

Mini MATHLETT (6th birthday yesterday) is in his first year thinks it's well boreing (except for the football and sticking your tongue out at girls) LOL He cried all the way back inland last week (5 weeks at the coast was clearly not long enough for him) I must admit to gnashing my teeth and feeling a bit petulant myself LOL

Mrs MATH is still doing a stop gap type job but has heard the training manager in her company is going on maternity leave so that could be a temporary opportunity for her maybe permanent if she greases the brake pads on said managers car:eek: (Ignore that gentle reader, I don't really endorse putting pregger ladies in danger)

I heard you've got a new shower PP. I've seen the adverts for those things. I hope you know you can only use them while wearing a bathing one piece and smiling like a chessire cat. Enjoy and don't get carried away with Mr Matey.

I'm off to read the rest of the thread now. Bye

I loooooove the Bay City Rollers!!!

ARRRGGGG. My sister was a big Rollers fan. Here school bag was red tartan and she appliwued "I LUV THE ROLLERS" on it in some glittery fabric in needwork classes. When she finished school and disgarded it my Dad (who wastes nothing) used it to take his sandwich box to work in. Thank goodness he worked nights and only left the house under cover of darkness.

Nice to see you back MATH, we need the male influence to keep all us ladies in check!!!!! Glad you had a good holiday on the coast.

Punky - thanks, ive been ready for my inspection for over a year now (they dont come very often!!!) but its just the thought that someone is coming to 'check you out'!!!! Ive met the inspector before, and she is very nice, and hopefully im doing everything they are wanting. The one thing i know, is that all the children i look after say they have a good time here, and its nice that the little ones still come running up to the door each morning!!!!

ive just sold my first item on ebay this week! but i dont know what to do now? and how do you pay the fees to ebay, do they take it from yr paypal account?

suppose i should go look at the other board really.

Don't know if anyone else has replied but it is quite easy to pay your fees. If you do nothing they wait about a month and then take it from whatever bank account/card you have on your records on Ebay if you want this to happen. If you just want to pay it out of the way then click on "My Ebay" and then on the left hand side under "My Account" click on "Seller Account". This takes you to a page which shows how much you owe and you can choose to make a one-off payment via Paypal or set up automatic payments via Paypal.
  • where can I buy a hot water bottle for less than a fiver? Got no heating in the flat except a small oil filled rad on wheels and want to save some pennies especially with the electric prices going up! So thought could have a hot water bottle instead of having the energy-sucking rad on!! Any ideas?

a 1974 baby here; Wham were definately my favourites, but the first ever concert I went to was Duran Duran.............ah, nostalgia!

The day started badly when I got a letter from the DVLA telling me I hadn't taxed my car - said car was sold at the end of May; and yes, I did fill in the right bit of the V5 & post it off to Swansea like a good girl..........Grrr

I've got to pop to M&S later & take back a pair of trousers which I bought yesterday, as they have a hole in them. Didn't bother to try them on, so didn't notice it til I got them home.

Also need salt, as I've got 3 pairs of black trousers & a black shirt with faint bleach stains on them, so am going to dye them back to black. How come nearly all my clothes get these marks on them? I've wracked my brains trying to work it out but

The ironing pile seems to be mounting up again, so I'll probably tackle some that later while OH is at work.

Too many of you to mention so :grouphug:, MATH being the only notable exception cos we haven't heard from you for ages. Have fun clearing up the constant accumulation of sand that always appears after a prolonged visit to the seaside :D There's still a sprinkling in the bottom of my laundry basket
