Shez - it was one about him being an english lord trying to break into politics who found out he had an american dughter from his drop out years. Re-discovering his inner rebel hence (mmmmm) motorcycle pants. Very poor film, very very nice bottom.

I just can't listen to Queen anymore, played to death as a teenager which is a real shame. My baby sister was into them too so if I wasn't playing them then she was. Grew up listening to the beatles and five penny piece.

I know you're kidding, but we tend not to wave flags in the front few rows as it blocks the view of the people behind. Because (for reasons too complicated to go into) the people who end up near the front are mostly regular Prommers, rather than people who only every turn up for the Last Night celebrations, we have unofficial agreements on certain things like this so as to annoy as few people as possible!

If I make the front row (which I would say is about a 50/50 chance) then I might think about balancing an "OS BargainRzl" placard on the rail in front of me :D;)

I will be wearing a black evening dress with a very sparkly diamante necklace and earrings, and will probably have my hair up - I may or may not be wearing my specs. I might be wearing a pale blue wrap but it's unlikely as it often gets up to sauna temperatures in there!

DON'T FORGET YOUR SAFETY PIN - then we'll spot you easily :rotfl:

  • Hi All,
Im on my lunch break with a jacket potato in front of the computer. Had to take DD to the docs today, she has an ear infection but not bad enough to stay off school, especially as its only the 2nd day. Managed to get her to school by the end of assembly.
I am putting away my mammoth ironing pile, changing beds, hanging out washing etc, then I will fly round with the vac before popping in to see my mum and collecting DD's from school.
Its my last day of freedom as Im back to work tomorrow. Nose to the grindstone once more.
Im 1969, and was heavily into Wham in my teens, more Andrew than George though. I went to see them at NEC and I still have my wham scarf and badges! OH (1965) was a Durannie. I liked Adam and the Ants as well, and Culture Club.
I am intending on watching the proms on saturday (for the first time) my mum always watches it, and OH too, so have decided to watch it this year, so will look out for you B Rzl. You'll have to put a big safety pin on the front of your posh frock so we will definately know its you!
Nicki made me think about a relaxation tape a friend bought when I was pregnant and unable to sleep. You can tell said friend is childless as it is waterfalls and waves crashing on the beach. Didnt induce sleep just much moaning and groaning as I heaved myself out of bed to go to the loo!
Right, I must now heave myself off the chair and go and do more chores.

AT - i also love Robbie (saw him years ago at Exeter Westpoint) very jealous of your DD!!!!

Been busy this morning, beds stripped, washed and hung out on the line, been shopping, made pink cakes with the little ones (we now have red food colouring all over our hands, so will have explaining to do to their mums later:eek: ) hoovered and ive almost finished the bathroom, so ive sat down for my 15 minute break (i like that idea Kaz!!!) Going to put the little ones to bed in a minute, then i can have my lunch and do the dusting (i know i shouldve done it before hoovering, but its just a whip round, so should matter!!!)
Right, better carry on, might have to dig out my Wham album, or my Robbie, havnt decided yet!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • At least when it's the Last Night of the Proms I'm dressed up to the nines, so I know I look reasonably OK on the telly :o - there have been several occasions where friends have told me they've spotted me on broadcasts of the normal Proms concerts, most recently last Saturday when I made the front row (great concert so glad I queued all day) and everybody was coming up to me at work on Monday saying I'd had a big close-up on the BBC2 broadcast during the applause after the concert. This would not have been so bad if I hadn't been wearing a slightly embarrassing T-shirt :o
