Nothing much for me to say today and am already up the wall but I just wanted to pop on though and give everyone a big :grouphug: if you are sending little ones back to school today.
Catch you all laterYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Just a quick post to say hello, and good luck to all the young ones starting/returning to school!! Well remember that feeling of pride seeing them immaculate in their uniforms, and having to take a photo because it wouldn't last long!!:rotfl: :rotfl: Have had that remark myself about sending them looking lovely, and 10 minutes later they looked like rag-bags!!! I put it down to them being boys, until my mum put me right and said I was the same:o
Good luck at the Doc's Snowy, and yep definitely just trim back the "well-done" bit of your cake!! By the time it's been "fed" nobody will ever notice!!:D
((((((((Hugs)))))))) to all in need or want of one andto all enjoying their days. Must press on, will check back later.

Good Morning Everyone
It's a bit dismal and grey here after yesterday's beautiful sunshine. I have got some washing on the go so I'm hoping that it won't rain.
Good Luck to all the school returners (and first-timers) and to all the anxious mums as well!
I shall wander up to the post office in a few minutes as I've got an Amazon parcel to post! It's something I've listed on there for ages, so I was quite surprised when I received the message this morning.0 -
Morning all!
Snowy - Good luck at the doctors
Ageandjo - Hope your sister gets sorted with her OH. He sounds awful. I don't think people realise how hard it is to leave a situation like this and come to the conclusion that it can't be that bad.
B: Toast made with HM bread
L: Baked spudChilli Con Carne without the beans!
Made a very healthy raisin and seed loaf from a breadmaker recipe book last night and the recipe said to put breadmaker on the 'cake' setting. I haven't got a cake setting!I put it on the Gluten free setting instead because it is also a gluten free loaf. It came out as hard as a brick and gooey in the middle! I tasted what I could and it was delicious. Pity its too hard to be edible. Want to make it again but don't know how best to cook it.
Youngest daughter's 2nd day at college today. She's not keen but I said she's got to give it longer to give it a chance. She's made two friends which is nice but Im not sure she's doing the right course (entry level Childcare which is for kids who didn't bother doing any GCSE's) My daughter did her GCSE's but just didn't pass many. I think she should be doing the Foundation Childcare which is one level up from this. Well, we shall see.0 -
Why are mine the only children still on holiday ? Mine go back tomorrow and as far as I can tell it's the same all over Worcester - still it might just be the catholic schools. Anyway it doesn't seem fair
Good luck to Miss Penny Pincher and all others starting new schools. My ds1 starts his tomorrow and we are both quite excited by it all rather than nervous or tearful.0 -
Morning all
Happy Birthday Ms London.
Snowy Owl good luck at the doctors, hope all goes well. How noticeable would the burnt bit be when it's marzipaned and iced? I would feed it well and cover it up!
Ageandjo sorry to hear about your sister, sounds a nightmare.
Everyone with little ones back to school I hope all goes well.
I've managed to put on a load in WM this morning but I couldn't face the washing up so it's left for whoever gets back from work first. But the lasgne for tea tonight is made and ready to go in the oven.
Spent all night on the phone for work (OU) so I feel like I haven't stopped since yesterday. Boss is back today so today could be awful.

I did not actually make pea and ham soup for breakfast - it was supposed to cool and be put into the fridge ready for later today.
It is all DH's idea to scoff whatever is in the slow cooker as soon as he gets up!
I used to cook stuff overnight - wonder why the level had dropped in the slow cooker and was convinced it was faulty - at least until I saw DH wolfing down curry at 6 .30 a.m.!
Still, it keeps him happy lol;)
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Snowy Good luck at GPs today. Get med cert backdated to yesterday.
 Happy birthday Miss London
At w**k today, but tonight will get ready for guests - BigBro and his DW. Then hopefully crack on with some Damson Jam. DH away on business, so miss him, but it's nice to have the house to myself to do all the getting ready and cooking and not have to do meals etc as well!!
Hey PP - your girls looks grand and you look a lot better than me and I have showered and am at work trying to look professional :rotfl:
