Woke up at 6a.m. and went downstairs to take soup out of the slow cooker, empty dishwasher , make a pot of tea etc.
DH is now eating pea and ham soup!!!!
Need to stay in this morning as a parcel is being delivered.
Hug to ageandjo
It must be awful to feel so far away when your sister is upset. Please do not let her go alone to confront her DH and make sure she is safe.
Snowy
Good luck at the doctors and do not "put on a brave face" but really say exactly how you feel.
Hugs to everyone."This site is addictive!"

ageandjo wrote:No she doesnt enjoy the drama at all, she doesnt want him there, Aussie that has upset me what you have said. Ther is more to this and to comment like that I find a little harsh.
Sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just think there is no excuse for a man to physically & mentally hurt his wife. If she keeps letting him back then what more can you doWhat will be the result when she *catches* him out? More abuse to her. It's a vicious cycle and unfortunately it's the kids that will suffer. I won't say anymore about it. Again sorry if I sounded blunt.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning! Just a quick post, as no time to read everything so far. Making breakfast for children, before school.
PP, my DS11yo is completely calm about new school. It's DD13yo who's having the Victorian histrionics!
(((((Ageandjo))))) I have a similar problem with my sister, but she's only 300 miles away, and her OH has emigrated now. She doesn't keep in contact, so we have no way of knowing what's happening. We're going down to doorstep her in the next holiday.
Snowy, best of luck today, hun.
Happy Birthday Ms London! :EasterBun
Will read all posts more carefully from w***, and will have a little cry for my big grown up boy.
Hugs to everyone in the "new school" support group.

ageandjo - ((((hugs)))) to your sister. It must be hard being so far away & not able to give her a hug yourself.
Snowy - hope all goes well today
welcome hex2 & dlb
elona - what an unusual breakfast!
hello too to aussielass, amanda & zed42.... as well as anyone who has posted while I have been typing away here.
Oh, happy birthday Ms London!
I have an appointment with the nurse today - thought that at my last consultants appt all was ok, but just one last test... guess what, another slightly dubious result, so the whole procedure starts all over again. Still, I'd rather be in the system being checked than not.
Also have a whole list of other things to do, including picking up a folding bed I have bought from ebay. DH is not happy that I bought it, he can't see that we need it - but if DD & her DP & 2 girls come to stay we are 2 beds short. At the moment the baby sleeps in her travel cot & one of her parents gets an airbed! I really wanted one of those beds that has another one tucked away underneath, but can't afford that. So I thought a folding one would be next best. I don't like upsetting him as he is so nice really! But at the same time we do need the extra bed. Not only that, by the time I told him about it it was too late - I'd already bought it! Anyway, I think I had better collect it while we still have the big car - it would be adding insult to injury to ask him to get it in his van! (although he would, he's not that cross!!!!!) I'll make him an apple crumble for pudding tonight, I think.
Have a good day!0 -
tired mum
I did not actually make pea and ham soup for breakfast - it was supposed to cool and be put into the fridge ready for later today.
It is all DH's idea to scoff whatever is in the slow cooker as soon as he gets up!
I used to cook stuff overnight - wonder why the level had dropped in the slow cooker and was convinced it was faulty - at least until I saw DH wolfing down curry at 6 .30 a.m.!
Still, it keeps him happy lol;)"This site is addictive!"

To all i cross with, or follow, HELLO!!!!
Well, DS and DD off to school today, DD is ok but DS is moaning about how the holidays have gone too fast!!!! My neice is starting high school today, she is fine, my sister isnt and ive got little ones first day/morning at nursery as well, im feeling quite nervous for her!!!!! Ive got my camera ready to take some photos, will be nice to show her mum later.
Have the DW on (still not leaking, fingers crossed) and im going to make a nice beef stew in the SC, as DS has a football match later. Luckily im only working until 4.30 today, so we can get there for 5, which is when they want us to meet up. Also need to get the WM on, but not risking it until the DW has finished, and maybe that xmas cake that i was going to do yesterday, but didnt get round to!!! (but now Snowy has made hers, i think i should get my a*** in gear!!!)
Right, off to check they have done their ties up properly, we do try to look smart on our first day back!!!! Mind you, last year DSs teacher did comment how nicely DS comes to school, and within half an hour he looks like hes been in the rag bag!!!! At least my efforts are noticed!!!!
Have a lovely day everyone
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
