Morning all,
Shouldn't really be here as my parents arrive this afternoon (and MIL only left last week) and I have some stuff to do - although I'm quite pleased that the whole house doesn't need gutting.
PP - your daughter looks fab - really nice uniform colours.
Snowy - good luck at the doctors
Hugs to all who feel in need:grouphug: - that'll include me once my mother has done the "don't you have any bleach?" routine
Cooltriker - I made the spare rib and bean dish from your baked bean thread except no swede - and it was yummy. We had it with brown rice, broccoli and sweetcorn. Loads of broccoli left so the boys have broccoli and cheese pies in their lunchboxes today with sunflower seeds and orange wedges.
Was at the specialist yesterday with ds2 as he still wets the bed every night and he's 7. I know there are supposed to be loads of them out there also doing it but it doesn't always feel that way. Anyway they think it's linked to bladder capacity - he should manage 240ml and yesterday he registered as 80ml - so he needs to go more often. Have had to write long note to school saying that he has to be able to drink and go to the loo when he needs to and they have to allow him eniough time at lunch to finish a big drink - we'll see how helpful they are.....Sorry to inflict the details on you - but I needed to get if off my chest:rolleyes:
Anyway off to throw bleach round the kitchen etc“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Morning all! *hugs* to those that need them, esp. Snowy Owl and ageandjo.
PP- Awww, Miss PP looks so smart! You and Mr PP must be so proud of her. You all look like such a lovely family.:A
Good luck to her in the next stage of her life. The same goes to all of you whose kids are moving on to the next stage of school or college.
It's doesn't seem that long since i went off to Uni, but have realised it was 11 years ago! It's quite a shock when you realise you aren't as young as you feel. My two new flatmates were born in 1986 and 1984!:eek:0 -
Not read the thread through yet as I've just noticed the time and I really need to get my backside into gear.
I'm happy to report that DD is back to school and couldn't wait to get there :j:j:j:j:j:j She looked HUGE and OLD, yet so little at the same time, in her uniform today as she's insisted on wearing a shirt & tieShe even did the tie herself :j All I had to do was show her how to sraighten herself up :rotfl:
Discovered this morning that I've got a £12 late fee on the Natwest credit card. My payments this month are just £1.20 short of the minimum payment (forgot to transfer over some moneyas it's been one of those months) and when I rang up they couldn't do anything  Did find out though that OH could apply for a card in his own name with them and get 9 months 0% as long as it's not a Natwest to Natwest BT
I see some shuffling happening soon as his Egg card 0% deal finishes December 1st
House needs cleaning and I need to go put washing out now. I think just a quick blessing will do today as I'm going to be following the new holiday plan over at OrganizedChistmas.com and it started on the 3rd :rotfl: Right time to move my self....:wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -

Have sent complaint letter to talk talk about lack of broadband, hope it will Gee them up!
thinking of moving DS in a school thats nearer, even though they have got a place for him in his current one to start January, but it would be easier in the other one.

Morning all........
Little one went off to playgroup today, really happy to be back, and I'm enjoying some well earned peace lol
Have done a quick once over for today on the house, but the bathroom has had a good 'do'.
Need to go and pick some chicken off a carcass, that has been in the SC overnight, and make it into a substantial soupystew thing for dinner tonight, probably add some dumplings to it too.
Discovered that I have hardly any cash left for the rest of the month, so will be looking at the meal planners on here, and emptying the pantry and cupboards.
Off to do a bit more before it's time to pick DD up from playgroup.

PP your dd looks fab, glowing with confidence. Nice to see a pic of you too :)I agree with thriftmonster (must be the 'thrift' genes
) about dd's uniform colours - v. nice. My ds has got to wear royal blue which is a bit garish on him.
Am busy cooking a huge bag of plums my mum has given me. Going to make plum puree/sauce for the freezer to stir into yogurt.
Also have a batch of roll dough rising for lunch boxes. have got some mini loaf tins, thought they'd be nice for kids' lunches.
Dd is driving me mad - whining, acting like a 3 year old (she's 6) and strewing the floors in every room with toys and junk. Wish it was tomorrow
Bargainrzl how exciting to meet Joanna Lumley, apparently she's 60 this year - makes you sick doesn't it ?0 -
PP, Your daughter looks lovely, what a pretty young lady. I hope she enjoys her new school.
Good luck to all the other young people starting new schools, and Happy Birthday Ms London.0 -
penny penguin - only just finished reading yesterdays thread.
Yes I did find the ebay listing very easy, apart from trying to find the pick up only option. I only listed them sat and a guy came and picked it up last nite.
the reason i wanted pick up only was ive got 2 double buggies and a high chair to get rid of - so didnt want the hassle of trying to post them!!
but now ive got to work out what i have to do on the ebay site once an item is sold!! i still havent got a clue what im doing - just fumbling along at the mo!0 -

Just got back from our walk. Off to have a shower shortly and watch CSI. I think it's the last of the season but not too sure if it's on now. The tv channels seem to running Steve Irwin tributes tonight.
PP The pictures are lovely and she is turning into quite a lady. You have every right to be proud of her.
Chickadee That's great news. :j
Thriftlady My mulberries are nearly there. I hope I get them before the pesky birds do.
Received short note from Ms London. She will be swinging my way later in the month and we hope to catch up and have a:beer: . Can't wait to finally meet someone from MSE. :T She was such an inspiration to many over in the Debt Free board. DH out of the shower so my turn. Have a great day everyone. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0
