Ach, I know i'm not that ancient, but have just realised I'll be 30 next May. BF will be 42 though, so I'm a spring chicken compared to him :rotfl:0 -
PP
dd looks gorgeous she will fine today because you have both equipped her the necessary confidence to face anything - bet she comes home with loads of new friends and starving hungry for the chicken:D
Working from the office today but lots to do and the desk looks like a hurricane has hit:rolleyes: May need to do a mini fly lady before I can find things i need today (like that sudoku i started yesterday and really should finish:D )
Hope you all have great days and good luck to all the littlies heading back to school today0 -
Hi All,
Having one of those days today. Bad PMT, spots, horrible hair and severe stress. The strap broke on my favourite sandals too and Im all hot and bothered. Feel like going back to bed but never mind.
Took DD's to school, eldest is in her last year in the juniors. Cant say she looks grown up because she is actually the smallest by a long way of her group of friends but her clothes looked quite grown up. She was in a big throng of all her mates. She got up early to straighten her hair this morning, it was a fight to get to the mirror she took so long. God knows what it will be like when she gets into makeup!
DD2 started in the juniors today, which is quite seperate from the Infants so a big day for her. She was really excited but got all quiet and nervous when we arrived.
Penny Pincher your DD looks fab in her very smart uniform, grown up and a really pretty girl too. Blazers are so smart, its a pity they are being dropped by a lot of schools, even the local grammar schools around here wear sweatshirts and no ties.
Right I dont want to tempt fate by saying that I need to tackle my ironing mountain in case I get sidetracked like yesterday. But the ironing board is calling me.
Have a good one everyone.0 -

I'm older than both of you ... I'm 1979 and I feel about 1879 ATM. I think sleeping aids will be used tonight even though it's a school night. I need a full nights undisturbed sleep. Don't know what keep waking me up but I'm getting pretty fed up of waking up anytime between 2-5am

I dream of 1979, 1971 and 1965! 1963, here!
Great news at w***. I've been covering a maternity leave until recently, then last month got a new contract for 2 years. However, my colleague's coming back from leave, and my boss is keen that she should have her old desk (where I'm currently sitting) and her old laptop (she's welcome to that :rotfl: ). I was offered several alternative desks, none of which were very attractive, so asked if I could clear a big desk, in a larger office that's currently being used as storage. I'm keen to do this as I'll be sharing with 2 people who are great fun, and I have a huge desk.
My boss has now said that due to me being inconvenienced, I'll get the new laptop that my returning-from-maternity-leave colleague's project will provide.I feel a bit bad, as I'm sure she'd prefer the new one, but experience shows that when my boss gets an idea into her head, she's not for budging.
Only down side is that I won't be able to surf on here so much, as I'll be in full view of more people.
PP love the pics. I've signed up for photobucket, so will try to post some of my children later.
