Well it seems that Stingrays only sting when they are seriously threatened. So really know one knows how it happened. Whether he was doing something a bit silly with them or it was just a freak thing nobody can work out. His wife was in Tasmania and she has just arrived back. He was doing a little bit of filming for Bindi (his daughter) new show on the reef's that was in the pipeline. The weather had been bad and he had a break in the filming of his show. His shoot was out in the deep sea. I would hazard a guess that they will televise his funeral which seems to be the norm now with prominent people. I'm not really in favour of that so I won't be watching it. I watched Diana's funeral and once was enough. Too sad.

PP Ahem.......that's the way we all talk. :D I just tone it down with you guys. :p

Black Saturn Let us know how it turns out. I love Lemon Chicken & have heaps of lemon juice in the freezer.

VickyA Great news. It's a long process still isn't it?

Well off to have a bit of a surf. Not going for a walk tonight. Byeeeeeeee

Hi all, and thank you, thank you, thank you for your fantastic support.

I phoned work...got myself into a right jitter about it as you know. What a waste of time, I spent over 10 mins waiting on switchboard to answer, then phoned back three times trying to get to whatever number on the menu...took 20 minutes before I got an answer. I left a message with one of my co-workers and refused the offer to be transferred to our manager. (Why would I want to speak to her??) It's not quite how I hoped, but at least it buys me some time.

As for the doc's - my regular gp is on holiday so I'm seeing her locum instead - but that'll be tomorrow. I know I know I should have insisted on seeing someone, but strictly speaking it's not an emergency. My 2nd preference GP had no free appointments until Wed next week.

Have had a blub this morning too. Ah thank goodness for BOGOF bog roll otherwise I'd be skint.

Rizzle Goodness what a horrible night. Hope you put it behind you straight away and forget about it. I mean about XBF. What a snake in the grass.

Snowy - glad you managed to get through to your work (eventually!!!) and have a doctors appointment, now you can relax for the rest of the day xx

Rzl - glad you were ok after last night, shame about the row and the missing items tho. Must admit, im not surprised about Steve Urwin either, i wouldve thought it would be a snake or crocodile, my prayers are with his family now tho.

Right, really must do something, have the little ones watching a disney film at the moment, so should have a few mins to clean the bathroom!!!!
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I am! I thought he was invincible.....unfortunately not.

I am surprised at how disturbed I was by the news this morning...probably because I have watched every bit of film he has made as my two boys are mega fans. They were devastated......it's very hard to watch a 12 year old (who is taller than me and looks and behaves like a 16 year old) cry real tears. My younger boy, aged six made me smile though with his positive attitude.... "At least he had a good life"

I really feel for his wife and children.

Thank you AussieLass, I do feel v.relieved to have made those calls.

B.Rzl - that is shocking about your exBF insisting you leave his flat and leaving you relying on the nightbus. I've been in that situation before at Shepherd's Bush Green, had to wait for over an hour, was propositioned by men and women:eek: and in the end just got a taxi. Would have paid anything to get away. Bet you were sober when you got home. Don't worry about your hairbrush, lost jumper and wineglass, it's annoying to lose things, but you got home safely. And as for ex-BF, he quite obviously still loves you and wants you back and still wants to marry you otherwise why would he get so worked up, but you don't need him, so b*****ks to him.

Poor Steve Irwin - he was one of those inspirational people. Oh to be boundless and fearless like he was! He was only in his early 40s but he did so much in the time he was given, and left so much good work behind, which will be carried on long after this sad day. He's not really "gone", his memory and spirit will be around for many, many years to come.

    Hi all,

Back at work today - going to be a long one because I've got a meeting to clerk tonight:( .

Catowen, yes I did see Andy Murray win:T :T , I almost went to bed when he lost the second and third sets but it was great to see him turn it around. He seems to have the mental toughness a lot of our tennis players don't possess (plus a lot of talent).

Tinkerbelle - I really feel for you, take it easy for the next few days.

Brzl, sorry you had such a horrible night - hope things go better this week.

Snowy, well done for taking the first steps to a new life.

DH told me last night that he won't make it back from Turkey today :( and DS is working tonight so I'll be alone again, must try to catch up with the ironing if I have time after my meeting, they always seem to go on much longer than I expect.

Morning all, sorry I'm a bit late, I have been up for a while but I've been watching a robin in the garden. We never get those around here and he was a complete joy, he kept coming closer and closer to me and even perched on the side of the pool to watch me.

Such sad news about Steve Irwin, what a wonderful life he had though.

Huggles to all especially Snowy and Bargainrzl.

Busy day ahead for me and my hand is hurting for some reason this morning so I am hoping DH will help me out a bit.
