    Morning all,
DD, DS and DH still in bed, so have half an hour to myself. Winter coats are hanging on the line in the hope of some sun today, BM is on a rapid bake - never tried it before in my Panasonic, but neither of us could be bothered to put one in on timer last night. Got to turn up DS school trousers today and shine shoes ready for Wednesday and back to school. Are my kids the only ones that don't go back till Wednesday?
Got some lavenders and spring bulbs yesterday so need to get them into the newly altered front garden at some point, need to find out if I can split each lavender into smaller ones, thereby having a fuller garden for less money!
Nephew due at 8.15 so I'll say TTFN,

  • Morning, all! Last day of hols here, too, so main plan for today is to check everything is labelled and ironed, fill school and PE bags, polish shoes. Then off to collect a rope ladder from Freecycle (for the tree house), buy some storage boxes from Au Natrelle, an some vac storage bags. Moggins, I found them cheaper in Argos, so will be trying them and will report back. Off to Lakeland next week to see if theirs are worth the extra money. Difficult to see what quality they are from the pictures, so want to see them close to.

Kaz, good luck at college. :j What will you be studying? You seem to have been doing well on Freecycle. Great idea using your chiming clock for FLC. I'll set mine, too.

Moggins, can you enrol me on FLC III for 9 Sept?

Michelle, please don't worry about how your children will turn out. If you give them plenty of attention, and make sure that they know they're loved, they'll be fine. I set clear boundaries for mine from a young age (some behaviour not tolerated, but cutting slack where it doesn't matter) and though they thought I was really strict then, they appreciate it now, when everyone (even my child-free friends) like their company.

Hester, I'll take another look at your post from Saturday, and get back to you. :grouphug:

Peem and VickyA, well done on your stars. :T :A :T

PP, can we have a big group cry tomorrow :cry::cry:

Snowy, do you feel better now you've made your decision?

Hello, Sophie's mum, Soba, Ice, Ajr and Scuzz

I start my first office temping job today. I got my clothes ready last night and made a packed lunch. Have a new pencil case and notebook as well. It definitely feels like the first day of school for me. I don't have to start till 10.30...

Good luck to everyone starting a new school or new job today. :j

    Morning all

WW start (again!) today. I will be thin!

Last day of my baby being a baby - first day of school tomorrow, I'm more nervous than he is!

  • Morning everyone

Went to a charity football match yesterday and a chap from dream team/big breakfast was there and 10 minutes into the match he fell awkwardly and broke his ankle - it looked awful.

Making my christmas cake today - well i am actually making 2 (going to cut the other cake into 4 and when they have been iced later on we will give them out as presents).

Steve Irwin - terrible news - my thoughts go out to his family.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all, thanks for your words of support and advice. I've been up for ages now - have even done a load of washing as kitty puked a furball onto rug - it wasn't pretty and you don't want any more details, suffice to say the rug had to be washed asap.

I'm having an attack of the heebee geebees - ie feeling sick with nerves. I have to phone that place. Wish I knew some direct line numbers, then I'd just leave a message on a voicemail so avoiding speaking to anyone.

chaMichelle - thanks for sharing your experiences. I've been under my GP's care for a while now and making really good progress, so this is quite a setback:(. Leaving my job would be like someone who has a sore eye stopping poking their finger in it - I don't see how I could go back there and expect to be happy with the set up. I've got to move on, and as you say also learn how to deal with people, and figure out what it is I want from life. Gosh this is a deep Monday morning moaning...

    Have a lovely day everyone.
