Good morning all

I have got a whole list of things to do today, starting with organising the insurance etc so that we can get our new car next week, and various other things. Also DS has organised himself a visit to the Army Careers office this afternoon so am a bit unsure about that really.

Anyway, must go - I have already had to go to the door to give next door's key to their builder... in my nighty, with hair standing up on end & wearing my "comfy" glasses instead of usual contact lenses. (I thought it would be the postman, & I could just peep round the door.... but no, it was our friend who is building next door's conservatory....)

Morning all, huggles to everyone who needs them, and good luck to those kids and OSers who are starting school, college or w*rk today.

I'm back after a few days away last week (with w*rk) and my voice seems to be a bit better now (was really interesting trying to give a presentation with just a croak), its been dodgy since last Monday and don't know why, I don't feel at all unwell and usually when I loose my voice its after a cold and only for a day or so, not a week. I've got another presentation on Thursday so need it to be in top form by then (no-one to back me up this time).

Well I have a busy day today, need to finishing washing up the roast things from last night and do the washing from our long weekend away (our stuff was dropped off last night as it wouldn't fit in the buggy), hopeing it stays dry.
The cat is due her boosters this afternoon.
DW is about to go on and so is the WM. Have some bananas that need something doing with them.
And i have to w*rk on top of that as well, no rest for the wicked.

Will pop by again later.

Builder here already and had me last bath.

Im so shocked about Steve Irwin. Our family plan was to save up to see him at his zoo when DD left school as we've always loved him and saw him in the usa 2 years ago. Prayers and thoughts go to his wife and 2 kids.
I loved his sayings......Crikeyyyy.....me arm:rotfl: She's a beautiful sheila:rotfl: At least he died doing what he loved. RIP Steve.

DD doesnt start till tomorrow, so today we are jus doing a few leisurely bits.

First day back to nursery for my DS today. Gotta get a move on. Good luck to all those kiddies starting back this week.

DH painted most of the house yesterday! :j just a little bit round door to do! Now I can hold my head up high that Im not shaming the neighbourhood with peeling window frames!!:rotfl:

Went all the way to Romford yesterday to get DS his "Geox" trainers - got there and the shop was SHUT! :mad: - ended up buying another duvet set in BHS reduced in sale! I cant resist them:o but do i really need another?

Had quite abit of response about my ebay items, its quite exciting!:T

Just read news about steve irwin - cant believe that! I cant see the tv yet as noggin is on!

Morning all

Nothing much happening with me today. To be honest had a bit of a c**p weekend hence I didn't post. To cut to the chase even thought we're not really trying yet I was very very late :rolleyes: but then again this is nothing new. Basically I've always been told it would be very unlikely for me to catch without help if you know what I mean.

Anyway there have been a couple of accidents of late and to be honest even though it's not the best time I kind of hoped I was. Anyway took the test yesterday and it was negative and then to really p**s me I finally show last night :mad: Anyway got really upset even though I never thought that this kind of thing would worry me.

Hey ho - what will be, will be.

Nothing really planned for today apart from w**k. Good luck to those starting new jobs today or those sending little ones off to school

We have just got back from Scotland where we took my Dad's ashes - overlooking a bridge in a lovely country park near where he grew up - oops!

I will let you guess as I do not want to get into trouble!

Taking DD (17) for new shoes and then DD (12) for new school skirts etc.

Need to go to Lidl at some point for food!!!

Good luck to all those starting new jobs/schools/bathrooms/colleges/...and er, other things that I can't remember !!

Snowy write down what you want to say before you phone. Stick to that and don't get dragged into other conversations. Then politely put the phone down ....... and then it's your new phase! THen go and get your ingredients and make your christmas cake - marvellous therapy!!!

At w**k myself today - normally only work Tues to Thurs, but swapped my days so that I can have a break for when my brother comes across to see us on Wed (did I post that already, sorry, quite excited!)

Picked a load of damsons yesterday and found a crab apple tree down the lane !! Anyone got a recipe for crab apple jelly???
