    Hi all,

Have had a useless day today, have slept most of it away.

Bathroom has been cleaned however and must do kitchen before I go to bed because the architect planning our extension is coming straght after work tomorrow.

Watching Andy Murray beat Gonzalez (hopefully):D and waiting for DH to call from Istanbul. He may be home tomorrow night but probably Tuesday.

Penny P well done on finishing the essay, here's hoping for another 92%.

Purple P look after the habd, burns can be sooo painful.

Moggins, maybe you should get a flylady stylee water bottle to keep with you all the time.

Snowy, hugs it really seems as if you're going through a bad time at the moment. Don't give in your notice - take sick leave, it sounds as if your stress levels are making you ill.

Purpleprincess - OUCH!!! your poor hand hope the pain is gone.
Smashingblouse - glad you're feeling better. Centreparcs for Christmas, how wonderful. We've booked a cottage in Norfolk this year. It's the first time we've ever been away for Christmas but we're SO excited about it. Hope you have a great time.
Sorry your shopping trip wasn't a success Snowy. Your nerves are a bit fragile at the moment - take it easy.
We had a great ride this morning - 26 miles in the end. The sun was really hot so even though it makes cycling hard work we were glad of the wind.
I'm feeling a lot brighter tonight, I must have gone at least 2 hours without thinking about DS's troubles & I'm not at all tearful about it - a major step forward. Exercise always makes me feel better, much more effective than antidepressants - although I've been there too. Hopefully a good night's sleep tonight & I'll bright as a button tomorrow ready for going back to work.
I'm on lates this week, 10 - 6 so I won't be nagging if you haven't started the daily thread before 7.:D

Evening all...and what a carp evening it is too. Am all upset - I have been blessed with a nagging mother. (And I am sorry to those who do not have their mothers any more, I do not mean to be insensitive). I know she just wants the best for me but that also means that what I have and what I have achieved isn't good enough. I do wish she would lay off for a while, it has been so hard leaving England, leaving my job, leaving my lovely wee flat and leaving my friends, just to be told that the house I have isn't good enough, and the job I have (this one, and the last one which was temporary) isn't good enough and to get sarcastic comments about how I'm sitting in over the weekend. I thought I was going to improve my life by coming back to N.I. but it has been a nightmare. I was nice to her, but it was so hard to bite my tongue. I am v.v.down now, absolutely not going to work tomorrow, have to go to my GP and try and get myself sorted out, this can't continue.

Just popped back for a quick catch up - Snowy Owl, sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it - mothers, eh?:grouphug:

I'm originally from NI and I think that people over there as a rule can be too fond of sticking their noses into other people's business, family especially (apologies if I offended any other NIer - it's not intentional and just my observation). Don't let it get you down!

Maybe it's worth pointing out that you find her comments hurtful?
  • purple princess take some pain killers before you go to bed tonight, i burnt my hand years ago making pancakes (splashed hot oil all over it! OUCH) it was throbbing all night.
I hope your burn heals quickly as you did it at work wont they let you off going but still pay you for the shift? (i hope so)

(((hugs))) snowyowl - sounds like you're having a hard time just now. Go to your doctor and see if they can help - just getting out of work will make it a bit easier. Unfortunately there's nothing I can suggest about your mum, so all I can say is you've done a lot by moving, and I hope things will go better for you soon.

Hi Seraphina...I know you are right, I should tell her that what she says is hurtful, but I don't think I could stand a conversation like that either. It is v.hard to listen to though. Anybody want to swap??

    hya snowy,

i have just been catching up with the last couple of days threads, your job sounds like my placement, but at least i am leaving it on friday (thank the lord) anyway i think some people ie: managers adopt a bullying approach to some staff, (u?) i think u should start and look for something else??
i was bullied for a short time at work and in the end i had to stand up to them, (total nightmare!) it did eventually stop but i cried for days about it!! so i can empathise with u, hun.

look, ignore what your mum says, she can't live your life for u can she?

i feel that as soon as u find another job or re-train to do something else, your life will be better again.

snoozers advice about ringing in sick, sounds good, and will give u time to look for something else??

if u want to chat pm me,

    love dorry xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
