    beachbeth, naughty naughty!! ;)

DD has managed to eat her tea in record time, I'm amazed. DH has gone to work, I didn't have to feed him as work said they would save him a roast tea. I think my current tiredness may be down to dehydration as I've just realised I've only had one glass of water in 2 days. I don't seem to get thirsty though so I keep forgetting to drink. I must find someway of remembering.

If I pick up on energy later I will tackle some housework as there is nothing good on telly tonight, although I have a ton of CSI's recorded that I must watch.

PP I am so sorry to hear about your hand, shall we start a club? The One Hand Gang :D

    Hi everyone!
It seems to have been another busy weekend here but have also got loads done. Dashed down to Lidl early yesterday am [it's 30 mins from here] for my mega shop. As soon as I'd dumped all the shopping in the kitchen the phone rang. 20 mins later I got back to it to find the small person had put most of it away! He then proceeded to spend the rest of the morning tidying up cupboards and drawers. Aww bless. Don't know what possessed him but he made a darned good job of it. I gave him a bit of extra pocket money for that...not that that was his motivation. Mind you he's been a little horror today to even it all out!!!
We had our new neighbours in yesterday for cuppa. They've got a son same age as ours. They're lovely people and the kids got on like a house on fire [I'm never quite sure how the small person will react to a new child with his Aspergers] Poisoned them with my HM flapjacks and maltloaf which I'd had time to make whilst taking full advantage of the free child labour!!
Fraid I then promptly fell off the OS wagon and had a Chinese takeway with friends in the evening!!
Today we have put our new slow cooker to use...finally managed to get it on the 2nd attempt after Argos sent me home with a coffee maker the 1st time. Very nice but not much good for making casseroles! Anyway we have enjoyed paprika beef for tea. The BM is also back from the repairers and has produced an apple and raisin loaf which we had for breakfast.
It's been the usual round of domestic trivia mainly today but we did get out to a new festival in the town this pm and heard lots of excellent free folk music [a firm fave of mine].
Now I'm off to raid the SC thread for inspiration

I have got a recipe for this that Ive never tried! I may try it - do you have it with potatoes?

Funkyfairy - where did you meet Alan Tichmarsh?
  • hi someone asked about things to do with bargains from tesco - avocados turn into guacamole - v yummy.

2 spring onions, clove garlic chopped in dish. 2 avocados scooped and mashed and squeeze in juice of 1 lime mash altogether and we like tortilla chips but carrots if feeling v healthy!! is good and avocado has no cholestrol (can't spell that!) and is a super food

not sure about mango - just like with yogurt
