  • Morning everyone.

    Hope you're ok Penny pincher!

Glad. Nice to be off nights I bet! I did them for a while and it ruined me for life:rotfl: Haven't slept properly since.

    Happy birthday Mushypeas!!!

Not a lot of OS going on here today. The house is a wreck. Thanks everyone in this house for keeping it tidy. NOT:mad: After two weeks of flying you'd think they would have made a better effort!!

I'm making some hummous today, chick peas have been in the slocooker overnight. Don't need to cook dinner as OH is taking the two kids out tonight whilst i'm at work.

Tomorrow, we're off to Jimmy's Farm to the sausage festival. The kids will enjoy seeing the animals and I will enjoy the farmshop!

Have a good day one and all.:D

    Morning :hello:

    Happy Birthday Mushy Peas

So far I've had breakfast, showered, put a load of washing out - 10 minutes before it started to rain  - and wired a plug. I'm worn out now and on a tea break :rotfl:

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

Day one of the grocery challenge for me and we are going into town so have to try not to be too tempted by the farmers market! At least we have a poundland so will have a mooch around there to see what savings I can make on food stuffs and look out for any stocking fillers. It is market day so will check the cheese stall out as well.

I have clipped my vouchers and have them ready in my bag for the supermarket - I feel like I am going into battle!:D All the savings are going towards Christmas expenses together with my Pigsback vouchers and luncheon vouchers (which should take care of the quality street tin!).

Have a good day everyone! and

    :bdaycake: Happy Birthday Mushy Peas!

  • hi everyone

it's my first time on the daily board - hope it's ok to join in and happy birthday to mushy peas!

I'm working from home today so as well as trying to get all my work done, i'm cleaning the living room, washing the throws on the sofas and in my lunch break, making some carrot soup and freezing it for another day.

And if i get time after that, i'll work on the garden (also a cat toilet - if anyone knows how to get the little blighters to stop messing up my garden instead of next doors, where they live, that would be really appreciated!)

Just had the telewest man in to sort out my internet connection but it turns out that its the cable outside that needs replacing..well it has been there since the year dot..lol

Not sure what to do today, its DH's last day of his holidays so he's not really doing a lot. Think we might pop to Pets@home to pick up some doggy things for the new dog..

viva only last an hour and a half, and was really straightforward; such a relief!!!

Congrats Doc  I'm really glad that it all went smoothly for you. Tell me how does it feel when they say 'you have passed'...give me some motivation to finish mine! Are you intending on becoming an academic now?

    Happy Birthday Mushy Peas_party_

Well I am feeling pretty fed up today and its all to do with the fact that I haven't got my study to a point I feel happy with, despite the fact I start back to uni on monday for a new course :( We went looking for bookcases yesterday but they were so expensive and very flimsy. I have a solid wood one at my moms, which is a little old fashioned, but I am going to use that and save money! Also decided to keep my desk and treat myself to some new filing drawers in stead.

I have given the whole house a good clean this morning, despite the fact that my arms and legs feel like they are going to drop off today from the boxing....off there again tonight :T So don't need to worry about tea as it will be something light and quick when we get in at half 9.

The weather is very damp and drab here today so I am off to my mom's to use her TD and sort this book case out. I might make some biscuits later.

Have a good friday everyone :)

    Morning Everyone.

    Happy Birthday MushyPeas.

It's cold and miserable here. DD has been ill for the last few days, she has had a raging temperature (had her MMR a week ago so could have been that) for 48 hours then she slept for 6 hours yesterday morning into the afternoon and woke up and boom! it was gone. It's funny how the body works (or doesn't work sometimes!). Anyway I haven't slept properly in that time and so am absolutely cream-crackered.

Ive just finished a huge Tesco's order for tomorrow morning accidentally/conveniently to be delivered whilst I am out so OH can put it away. He does zilch around the house so that will be nice for me and should sort us out apart from fruit and veg for about 4 weeks. It should fill the deep freezer I bought a year ago which is one of my best buys. I am trying to work out whether I can take it to Australia or not when we move there along with many other things we have!

My Grandma is having a knee replacement this afternoon so that is on my mind, she is 86 and has been with my Grandad for 72 years (married for 66 years) and this is the first time since WW2 that they have been apart for the night, ds and I are going to visit her on sunday which will be nice, she is very strong so should be fine.

Dinner will be Nacho's with homemade chilli and salsa.

Hope the rest of the day goes well for everyone.
  • Good Morning!

First of all, Happy Birthday to Mushy, and my son James who's 16 today!
Of work at the mo' my MS is playing up something awful, heavy wobbly legs and fatigue. Still gives me a chance to watch Fern and Phillip, and do some cooking (If I sit down a lot)

Hope everyone has a good day!!!
