Hi everyone!
Well despite all my bluff I'm still using the new cat as an excuse for not doing my ironing but really will have to knuckle down and do it tonight otherwise I'll be spending my 40th in my birthday suit and that wouldn't be pretty because I've got nothing ironed:rotfl: :rotfl:
Shall be picking up a copy of the Pauper's cookbook from the library so am hoping that will give me some inspiration for the forthcoming weeks. This month has cost us a fortune so far so shall have to cut back in other areas!
Have so far done a white wash and hoovered throughout. Will need to pick up a few bits from Sainsbury on the way home.
It's cheat meal tonight of Lidl pizza with fresh veg as the small person has cubs.
I was reading the small person's homework this morning. He visited the local RC church this week and had to write a letter of thanks. He said his favourite part was the woolly water that people have when they're christened. Not listening properly as usual methinks. However, I've left it in as hopefully it'll raise a smile when his teacher sees it!

Spoke too soon. Its quite a nice, drying day but my neighbour has decided to pressure wash his bungalow roof. Its wetting the side of my house, the patio and Ive had to put the washing in the TD! Im the sort of person who finds it hard to confront people so Im just sitting here seething instead! Why can't he wait until the evening to do that side of his bungalow? Ignorant man!
Anyway, who washes their roof? What is the point? I think if we washed ours half the tiles would fall off!0 -
I've been to work, then town, back to work then home on my bike. My legs had a good workout today lol. I still haven't hoovered, I'm going off the idea now
I just popped in to say a big HELLO to csarina :hello:Bulletproof0 -
Beachbeth, go and light a fire, that'll annoy him :rotfl:Bulletproof0

Beachbeth - he's probably getting rid of moss, otherwise who on EARTH cleans their roof!
If you are feeling assertive, then you could use a non-antagonising phrase like " Hello, you look very busy. But do you realise that you are soaking all my washing that I put out earlier?" with big happy grin on your face (while shaking underneath!)
Otherwise, wait until he's finished, arm the local kids with catapults and make some mud pies........you kow what to do next.......... :rotfl:
Only joking peeps, would never condone such practices......
what a pain though!Everything in moderation..............including moderation..............0 -
Feel a bit better because he's just offered to come round and give my patio a spray to make sure he hasn't put muck all over it. Still wish he wouldn't do it on such a nice day though. The noise is awful too!
Sorry, this probably isn't the thread for this kind of chat!0 -
Hugs to you MimiF
Troo- go for it. Don't give in.
Just got home from work. I joined all you non-sleepers last night. Was awake from 1:15, despite being totally exhausted. got to play with the meal planner spreadsheet Squeaky posted on another thread. Still can't get it working- I must be doing something wrong (and in I am supposed to have been a "techie" in a past incarnation!)
Were supposed to have Chicken curry out of the freezer last night. Pulled it out the night before and left in the fridge. Unfortunately I forgot about my mad fridge which freezes things on teh bottom shelf while keeping them warm on the top. So curry was neither frozen nor defrosted and neither of us could bring ourselves to nuke it and risk illness. So - another meal in the bin!
Veg soup tonight. Still to brave the SC after my porridge disaster. Might try the spag bol in it on saturday - that way I can kind of keep an eye on it and rescue it if necessary.

Afternoon - back from work and am currently all alone in my house (that never happens!) I've tidied - so now all I need to do is clean  I'm going to hoover the stairs just now as they [STRIKE]never[/STRIKE] rarely get done
I just need to tear myself away from the MrBE/Tigs thread - it's sooo funny :rotfl:Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Afternoon all :hello:
Had a lazy day. Packed kids off to school with neighbour and took the paper back to bed, read it, then fell asleep till 10Then put on my "sports" clothes and unwrapped my Davina keep fit CD I've had for yonks and did a 30 minute workout. Feeling so virtuous I've just had 2 choccy biscuits :rotfl: Hmmm - I'll let you know what my legs are like tomorrow.
Managed the sum total of hanging 1 load on line, sorting 1 load from TD, vac'ing upstairs, washing up/wiping down kitchen and making a chilli. DS1 is at a friends but I have one of DS2's friends here - they both had chicken nuggets!!
Am now settled down here with a :coffee: and am watching the "cook-off" with interest. I have about 30 mins before I have to start ferrying kids around again.
((hugs)) to al in need and catch ya later.
