    Morning everyone
I am aching a little today, I went boxing with my b/f last night (he was a very good amateur boxer but stopped fighting just before I met him)...I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up with the workout, even though I go the gym 4 times a week. But it was fab, a fantastic 2 hour workout and a good laugh too. Can't wait to go again tomorrow, where we got for a 2 mile run before our 2 hour workout

I have my parents coming for dinner this evening so I am off to the butchers to get a joint of beef. What cut does everyone recommend? My butcher will tell me which to get but its always nice to hear what you guys have to say...I want to cook it pink.

Other than that I need to give the house a quick whip through and do some more thesis writing.

Oh dilema, dilema!! To bake, or not to bake, that is the question!!
Queenie, I think that I would have to bake a cake and take it in! I wouldn't bake more than one as it could come across as being sarcastic and she might take umbridge to that and 'pick on' your son more? But I would make her one cake and take the recipes for the others. Perhaps you could point out that a lot of people are allergic to eggs and it would be nice to have an alternative for pupils that are...also it would provide her with a science lesson as to why cakes still work without eggs. But I would definitely have to say something, as her facts are incorrect! :T

    Breakfast: coffee and flapjack!
    Lunch: not sure
Dinner: Roast beef, yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, mash potatoes, brocolli, carrots, cauli and gravy
Have a good day everyone :)

    :grouphug:Hello people :hello:

This is my first time on the daily thread, so please be gentle with me.

I went shopping yesterday bought a new jumper, when I tried it on I looked like a Christmas tree in it, so it has to go back...

Have a basket of ironing waiting for me, will tackle that this afternoon. Need to make some healthy biscuits too, not very healthy really, they have butter and sugar in, but lovely with cheese or on their own.......must put the BM on as too.

    Bye for now.........

    I've been Money Tipped!
    :hello: Morning!

Yesterdays bread from the breadmaker was fab - I bought new yeast and did a 50% wholemeal mix and loaf was huge! Now I can go try the chocolate loaf or maybe the raisin and cinnamon one  decisions, decisions!

I found a use for the old towels (well until we get another dog) and have cut them up into cloths for cleaning.

Need a kick today to do the final flyladying on the bedroom as it is nearly there (I can see the mirror! and it needs cleaning:o ) only 2 more boxes of "stuff" to get rid of and I'm done and it feels so much better, now to keep it that way! Have swished and swiped and am about to shine my sinks, taps need fixing though as kitchen mixer keeps getting stuck on hot, ouch!

Our cat is still moody with me as I have de-flea'd her with new stuff from the vets, all in one on the back of her neck and protects the house as well, so cheaper than buying 2 products. Holly is not impressed with it!

Have a good day everyone! (((Hugs)))

Edited to say welcome to Csarina!

  • Morning all

Hope you are all well? And for those that aren't get well soon x

Well I have had a busy morning...
    Fed DS at 7.30
8am - Blanched a corn on the cob, 2 carrots cut into batons, 7 courgettes and 2 aubergines, all in the freezer now.
Also chopped all my red onions and white onions and they are free flow freezing as I type.
Made a mince base for my lasagne.
Making chicken stock from an old carcass that was frozen, a couple of onions and a carrot - going to make leek and potato soup later and freeze the rest of the stock. Also going to make a chicken leek and mushroom pie before I go out at lunchtime.
This afternoon me and my baby will be visiting my nannan and taking a fresh banana loaf thet is currently on the go in the BM!
All this by 10am! Wow, now off to have a quick shower and get my little one bathed and it will be time for his next feed before I know it. I am lucky my cleaner comes this afternoon so don't have to worry about any hoovering or dusting today. Going away for a long weekend 2moro so am very excited, me, OH, DS and the 2 x doggies - I can't wait - its our first break in 2 years!.

Anyway have a great day all.

  • Hello all. Well I discovered last night what happens when you make yogurt with slightly-too-old yogurt culture    Couldn't believe it when OH said 'that doesn't look too bad' and stuck a spoonful in his mouth _pale_ trust me, it wasn't edible :rotfl:

So this morning I had to do a quick whizz trip to Tesco to pick up a new pot of yogurt and now have a new batch yogging away, along with a chicken curry in the slow cooker, a pot of veggie soup smouldering on the cooker (looks as though I'm in the Veg Soup club today :rotfl: ) and a fruit compote simmering along with it. Phew!

Quiet day planned, will go for a long walk with friend and her dogs later on this afternoon but otherwise I'm going to treat myself to a day in sewing some new stuff for the winter. Yay!

Breakkie: Grilled tomatoes and mushrooms on toast
    Lunch: Veggie soup and sandwich
    Dinner: Chicken curry

    Have a great day everyone
