DS(4) has decided not to get ready for school this morning, so unfortunately he's had to travel in the car with no clothes on! We had this with DD when she was about the same age, and did the 'going to school with you pj's on' thing, and she was always ready for school after that. Needless to say his dad has his full uniform in his bag, so he'll get ready when he gets there. Hope it has the desired effect.
Just to update and tell you that son has been very quiet so far tonight, hopefully that means he's been thinking about things at school and we won't get a repeat of the situation on Monday morning - we'll see I guess.

Massive hugs to those in need,

Thanks also GinghamRibbon - it was Flufff who posted about the SC (that's the one I bought) I mistakenly thanked thriftlady last night (never mind I'm sure you're entitled to thanks for something else thriftlady). Is it any good?

So thanks Fluff. Mine arrives on monday.

Pulled Chimichangas and salsa out of freezer this morning - so that and Bottle of wine - fruit of the vine (how many fruit portions in a glass of wine again?:rotfl: ) - and I'll be a happy bunny tonight.

Been at work all day - gosh it's been a looooong one.

Take care everyone and have a good weekend. (I wish we still had the Disney Channel - everyone was mad about High School Musical when I was in the States in may - just my type of rubbish.)

    edited 'cause I can't spell/type.

  • aww lisa, i hope you are feeling a bit better now. just wanted to repeat what everyone else has said.

must say really pleased with the white vinegar down the loo tip ive picked up here- was a bit annoyed with DS2(he is only 6years old) who decided he needed the toilet AFTER id emptied the water out and covered limescale in paper soaked in vinegar (this was just before school this morning) i ended up putting a carrier bag down the toilet and taking it out to the dog bin on the park. Still loo is spotless now.

Sorry was that too much information?

I've finished my 2nd scarf and need to get more wool tomorrow to start 3rd. DD2 spotted packs of wool in 'the works' 12 balls for £9 i think she said ive been using wilkinsons 99p a ball and use 3 balls a scarf so i might take a look at theirs tomorrow and see if its similar quality

  • Hope you like the slow cooker, Peem. We've just had tofu sausage casserole from it and it was a big hit all round.

I even managed to clean the washing machine drawer and wash the bathroom rugs as well as get the washing up done. I strongly suspect that the slow cooker set me off in a very positive frame of mind. (At least dinner's on, I don't have to save my energy for making it.)

I'm exhausted and sore and my asthma's playing up but I really have had a great day. Good to feel on top of things for the first time in a little while.:j

    Hello everyone!
Didn't it pour earlier? well it did here in Kent anyway!
We had gone to fetch OH's bike from the menders and looked like drowned rats about 5 minutes out from home.
I've been quite busy with the garden again. Mostly tomatoes and runner beans but yesterday I dug up a sackfull of potatoes to store in the shed. There are still 3 more rows to dig up but it is quite hard work so i do a bit at a time. The greenhouses are now cleared out and have become store cupboards again for the winter.
DD is getting more used to college ways now she has been going for a few weeks . It sounds as though teachers are much the same as they were 30 years ago ,in the way they treat the kids .(I had a job at 16 and would have had some choice words to say had I been expected to sit cross legged on the floor !)
I've been playing with my new second hand embroidery machine quite a lot over the last few weeks. Its so satisfying watching it sew out .It reminds me of Rolf harris' s style of painting where first its just patches of colour and then as it progresses you can see it becoming a picture. Im teaching myself to draw the designs so I can embroider any image I want to instead of hoping to find the right thing . Im going to do socks for the blokies for xmas and hopefully some tops for the DD .
We had chicken and pineapple pizza for tea (already eaten) as OH was home today .DS was peeved as OH is usually out all night friday and he gets a 3rd of a big pizza but today had a 1/4. Boys! All they think about is grub.
    have a lovely weekend all

    Big hugs to Mrs MortenHarket

    :hello: to everyone else!

I've been on a course today. The new head has decided that I'll be a great PE Co-ordinator  :rotfl: so the course was about teaching PE. It seems that the course was aimed at duffers like me, so it was quite reassuring!

Need to take the washing out of the WM........ but it also means that I've got some ironing to do this weekend.

Luckily, I remembered to take some chilli con carne out of the freezer this morning, well it looked like chilli  so it's a nice easy supper tonight.

Not OS, but I've just received a guide to different cities around England from "Enjoy England". It is making me want to visit loads of different places now. Oh well, I may well be able to go if I win the £15m lottery jackpot. :D

    Bye for now.
