Today I had plans - great plans!
I have instead, been on here on and off nearly all day!! LOL
Managed 2 loads in the WM.
Kitchen - ok could try harder! Was planning a mass cupboard sort through!
Bathroom - done
woodwork on stairs hall and landing, all stardropped and now not looking like they need a touch up!
Now just waiting for oh to come home so I can fake tiredness so I can stay on here a bit longer! ooo and get a cuppa!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -
I'm really trying not to use the TD, I'm going to fail miserably today

Forecast for today Cloudy? CLOUDY? WRONG
Well although I said I'm giving myself the day off, I'm actually so grateful to be home and (finally) dry, that I thought I'd do more washing. I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, although it doesn't start til 3.30pm I know I won't get much done. So 3 more loads of washing to do after this lot :rolleyes:Bulletproof0 -
We have had the most torrential downpour at school, felt like Dr Gloucester trying to dodge the puddles, however, now bright blue skies.
All DDs friends were 'buzzing' about HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, it's all that anyone was talking about. DD1 has set her alarm clock and the TV alarm to make sure she doesn't miss it - AS IF???? We've heard nothing else for weeks.
Managed to finish off all the bedrooms and thankfully because the weather was so dismal, I did not feel too fed up doing it. I always feel so much happier when my house is sparkling. Had to do all the bedding in the TD though, but at least it meant I didn't have to iron them, just stuck them back on the beds whilst warm.
Lovely to see all the newbies posting.
Have a great evening all.

I'm losing it big time
(No, MATH, it's nothing to do with the alcohol, promise)
I've been and booked a room for my official business launch. Also done the important things like book a hair appt for the same day so I'll look all glam and gorgeous. (Booked my business coach an appt too, although WHAT he will do with blue hair I have no idea :rotfl:)
However, having come home as it started raining, I pulled the washing off the line and went to put it in the TD. However, as my mind was full of business stuff .... I put it all in the WM again. Ah well, it'll be clean
Also, the kids are on chicken nuggets for tea (proper chicken breast ones tho) with mash and veg. I did clean my upstair bathroom today and vac upstairs, so I feel a bit OS today. That reminds me, the BM beeped about 15 mins ago - best get the loaf out
Off to bang head against wall and see if I get any sense into it

Afternoon Guys
Had a pretty good day:D I have turned a nice shade of yellow over the past 24hrs, so will have to contact a consultant on Monday-liver must be playing up again:rolleyes:
New OU course material turned up today whilst out and looks very interesting. Workbook 1 is all about Criminology and identity:eek:   ...nail biting stuff...lol.
3 washloads are done and dried. DW has been emptied and the house cleaned. BM will be put on later.
DD is looking forward to that blimin film too. She has got the soundtrack for it and its all we've heard over the past few weeks. I have to admit...im looking forward too:o :rotfl:
Anyway, Id best go as DD is back from Hockey try outs and will see how she got on.
Hugs to all.

leoflower - standard web-speak abbreviations include things like DH (Dear Husband), DW (Dear Wife), DS (Dear Son), DD (Dear Daughter), OH (Other half), DP (Dear Partner), BF/GF (Boyfriend/Girlfriend), MIL (Mother in Law), HTH (Hope this helps), LOL (Laughing out loud)... etc.
Stuff that's come into common usage here on Old Style includes WM (Washing machine), BM (Breadmaker), TD (Tumble Dryer), DW (Dishwasher - can be confused with Dear Wife, but hey, what's new
), SC (Slow Cooker) etc.
I'm sure I didn't think of even half the abbreviations that get used on here but hopefully that's a start!

Apologies in advance for being such a miserable moo bag & not posting official OS stuff.
My DH (the D stands for Dratted) has just been the voice of doom & gloom to me. He is Never Ever Supportive. Just 'spoke' to him on yahoo msgr.
Told him have had my anti d's changed & am going back in 2 weeks for a review. Also cos I may feel worse before I get better (can I feel any worse?) she has signed me off for 2 weeks.
He apparently thinks I should go to work as it will not do my career any good. Oh & then he slagged of some supporting friends I have from another website.
So I turned my yahoo messenger off.
I said to him, right now I need support, he said yes well I shall just point out the harsh realities to you.
Quite honestly, I feel suicidal now. I feel like there is no point. I am useless.

Dont worry hun - I never do:D
So sorry to read your post - I hope he realises how what he has said has affected you - but ultimatley remember you can choose to ignore his remarks and be supported by the remarks of your friends.
You are not useless at all but if you are really feeling that bad then why not give someone a call who can support you - I know it may sound naff but the samaritans will be there for you without doubt
Hugs hun

Lisa - you are not useless, and there certainly is a point. Please don't have bad thoughts - have a virtual (((((hug))))) from me. There- does that feel better
Men just don't think in the same way as women do - it's a fact of life - they do just think about real things in black and white - whereas women are far more intuitive and therefore *feel* more - good or bad. PM me if you need to chat - and don't do anything silly.
Love Jo xSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0
