Hi there, I've been lurking for a while, but not posting as the new term has just started and we hit the ground running. Friday we found out there's an OFSTED this coming Weds & Thurs, so no doubt I'll be dead on my toenails for this coming week too.... just as I'd got into the swing of things.
Hello to all, especially the lovely people who in the past, made me feel so welcome here.

Congrats to your DS Catowen. Ibet you were one noisey mum when he scored that!
Ooo, snowy, that jam sounds lovely! I LOVE ginger and try to slip it into allsorts!
Well, I did manage to get my Fence up before the neighbours came home (only just!!!) Naturally it wasn't straight forward and ended up having to do some odd adjustments. I'm SOOOO please that it's up. I've yet to finish the fence at the side of the house, but the one I did today was the one that was stressing me out the most so I'm really pleased its done.
Tea went down a treat tonight - pasta pea and sausage salad with a generous helping of HG tomatoes.
I'm aching in places I didn't know I had, and I think that next week when we do the massage practice I'll be first to jump on the couch :D
Hmmmmm, just thought - haven't seen Aussie Lass for a couple of days... is she away?
Right, off to scan the welsh thread to see if anyone's left any info about bootsales for tomorrow,
    Catch ya all soon

I will probably just be in and out for the next week or so. Take care all.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Good Morning everyone! (now im the cheeky one starting!)

I think everyones getting fed up with there being 70-100 posts to read that we are all scrambling to open now so we get on the first page:rotfl:

Look at the time and i'm still up:rolleyes: - I havent felt myself all week you know, i feel listless, restless, dont know what i want to do with myself, cant get into anything properly - just like you snowyowl - and NO you are NOT a waste of space!!!! mind you that is exactly how i feel too:o

Had good intentions at start of Saturday - went to Ikea to get shelving for cupboard (to organise Anthea stylie!), look at new sofas maybe? - and also new wardrobe for bedroom - felt excited at freshening up the old household - BUT NO....what a day it turned out to be!!
Firstly went to Makro to buy new vax reduced from £250-£114 - but offer had finished! and there's something about Makro that my kids just hate and play up and fight
Now they like Ikea cos you jump and touchy feely everything there - but then argued about both sitting in the trolley:doh: and anything else they could moan or cry about. Was going to put them in the playclub for first time when was told my DD is too young!
Some 4 hours later we left, no shelves cos they were outta stock! so decided it was such a bad day to go home.....then DD was sick in the car!
Got home, then me and DH had a clear out of clothes, shoes etc :T
Then I just popped to ASDA for usual bread/milk saga - but you should never go shopping when your in fed up mood - cos you spend far too much, then come home and feel guilty about how much you spent:rolleyes:

I dont know whether I'm coming or going:confused:
    What a day!

Sorry this is not a very optimistic start to todays thread - i hate posting stuff like this cos you dont want to read me waffling on. sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry.....:o

I hope every has a HAPPY sunday!

well done tootles - sounds like good news!
dorry - thanks for starting the mystic thread!
catowen - hope the Party goes really well!!!
    rubypudding - Hello!
  • Hiya Shez and all who follow....

Ridiculously late for me to be up but I've just discovered the forums on the Delia Smith site and I'm hooked - I'll just give it another hour and then off to bed :D

No great plans for today (apart from a bit of sleep) as did all cleaning/filing away paperwork yesterday. Going to make a couple of jars of green tomato chutney though and make a proper Sunday lunch as we haven't had one for ages. I was thinking Quorn lamb grills, roasties, peas and carrots

Hope everyone has a good day :D
  • Hey everyone,

I'm just in from babysitting and thought I'd say hello while I was clicking on the Pigsback links before I go to bed...

I was babysitting tonight which I do to earn some extra cash for those debt repayments... - the lady asked me for change tonight which normally never happens - mostly people give me a round number - but tonight I had to dig out £2 change! Oh well - and it was a fantastic big house full of opulence - you know what they say about the rich being meaner than the rest of us (and that's why they're rich!)...

Today has been quite good for Old Styling - I've made a batch chilli and french onion soup for the freezer for this week. I've also planned my meals and started a new knitting project - mittens for my friend's new baby due in November. Very bad on the flying front though - I was just about to start then went for a quick sit down - 4 episodes of 24 later...

Tomorrow I am going to watch a film with a friend with free tickets from First Light Movies - but it sounds a bit dodgy (http://www.rabbitfeverthemovie.com/) - and its on at 10am tomorrow morning! Then its over to a friend's house in the village where all the boys are getting together to watch the footie and the girls can gossip!

Morning Shez and RubyPudding and everyone to follow - particularly SnowyOwl - I know you'll be here soon. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

  • Morning all! I didn't mean to be up at this hour, just seem to be unable to sleep at the moment

Yesterday was a loooong day's drive to take DS20 back up to university, seeing his new flat, meeting up with DD who's in the same city and having lunch with both, then back in the car for an equally long drive home again. Was too tired to do anything last night other than watch 'Maria' and crawl into bed, only to wake up fully refreshed and raring to go at 2.30 a.m.

Am going to use up my old and unloved veggies in the fridge today and make a big pot of soup, no other major plans apart from a load of washing and a half hearted attempt to clear out DS's room now that he's disappeared until Christmas.

Have a good Sunday all. FF

Grr, typed a long message then lost the stupid thing! Not going to go too mad on this version....

Shez...sounds like you had a very off day yesterday - hope a good night's sleep sorts you out and your Sunday is more successful.

Ruby Pudding...gosh you sound organised...it would be lovely to have a day when I don't need to do any housework because it's all done. But despair that that day will never arrive.

After my sleepathon yesterday I haven't slept v.much tonight. Think I will read a book for a while - don't want to go back to sleep - then get up at dawn. (Wonder if I will nod off again and have to eat my words...).

Edit to say: scottishspendaholic!!!!!! I've just clicked on your link, that is very racy for a Sunday morning....

Have a great Sunday one and all.
