Morning everyone
I'm all fired up after yesterday, so I shall mainly be cleaning upstairs carpets todayOh, and the stair carpet, which I shall NOT enjoy doing but is def. needed. I didn't get my bedroom cleaned last night - I did all my ironing while I watched "afterlife" so that's my excuse. I can d oit today when I wash the carpets (Mr TM seems to have got black boot polish on the carpet AGAIN )
Still a dry day here so more washing I hope. There's a bit of a breeze today, unlike yesterday when it was a really poor drying dayI'll send Mr TM out to do the grass today. I was going to do it, but then thought "delegation" :j
Need to seriously sort my desk today and crack on with this business plan. Blimey - it's like being back at school - this work just sits and looks at you and you know it needs doingMaybe that's why I'm having a carpet cleaning session this w/e :rotfl:
B: Porridge with fruit, cup of green tea
L: sandwich (opps, if I put the BM on soon)Pork chops, potatoes and veg
Have a good one :hello:

Morning
Was just about to start reading and DD has woken so this will have to be a quick one.
Car update is that its absolutely fine apart from the fact the little !!!!!!!s have taken my Antler work bag. It was used in an Armed Robbery in Doncaster were a guard was knocked to the ground and a member of the public has had a gun pointed at them. The scarey thing is that the police think that I may have been followed home from work as I work in and around the dodgest parts of Liverpool and they think that its a Liverpool gang that have been carried out a number of these robberies in Yorkshire. Anyway got my c!!!!at and my buggy back they need to keep the car for afew more days to the CSI guys to do there thing then it will have to go back to Skoda to be checked over and the keys reprogramed as they still have a set of keys.
Came back to pick up DD from MIL's and she basically had abit of a go at us saying we (me) had put DD in danger by leaving the front door open so we ended up leaving pretty sharpish. DH needs to go back today and change there front door lock so I will get him to have a word. I know that we have very different ideas about parenting style ie I'm abit let them get on with it, she alot wrap them in cotton wool but she has to let us get on with it.
Sorry I'm waffleing again. Plan for the day is get ready for work tomorrow despite the fact I dont know how I'm getting there as I still cant drive due to my foot. Then to step neices christening, dont want to but it will cause a family row otherwise.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning, all.
Well, my kitchen looked like a right old style kitchen, last night. The sink was gleaming (hurrah for Stardrops!), the dishes were done, hand-picked and home frozen blackberries gleaned from the local hedgerows were defrosting along with hand-picked raspberries from the local PYO farm, ready for a mixed berry low sugar jelly made with gelatine, today. Mixed beans and peas were soaking ready for today's batch of Lovely Lentil Lunches, done in the SC with chicken stock from a couple of days ago. On the side were two storage containers, one with home made low fat bread, the other with home made fat free Tea loaf. Ooooh, hang on while I polish my halo. :A :rotfl: Still, it made me feel good, if nothing else!
So today's priority jobs are the jelly and the lentil & bean casserole, plus DS's ironing so as to get him ready for school - oh and to help him with his homework. Not too stressful! ~crosses fingers~
Big fuzzy hugs go out to Shez, Snowy, MrsMix, IceMaiden, Topher, TiredMum and anybody else either having a bad day or a bumpy time of it just now.
Huge congratulations to DS, Kaz!! What a fabulous collection of results. He obviously has a mighty brain, inherited from his Mother.
Thanks for reminding me about putting on the BM, P-P, there would have been much whining come lunchtime, otherwise!
Oh, and I must just say (again) how much I love my microfibre cloths. I won't go into details, but it involved a pale green carpet, a dog with a dodgy bottom and a marvellous result at the end of the cleanup.Once the patch dries, I'll give it the Bicarb treatment to kill any lingering pong and we're (hopefully) sorted. That's the last time I give him leftovers of courgette in his dinner.
Have a great day, one and all!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Morning all
Sorry I haven't had time to read all the posts but I'm in a bit of a hurry. Joannasmum your MIL needs a kick up the posterior, I am frequently leaving my door unlocked and we live in the dodgiest part of town.
Kaz I think you are amazing with what you've achieved! You can do motorways! Come down and see me soonBTW I will share what Kaz is refusing to say because I think she was so lovely for doing it. She got her DS's results on the same day as one of our members children had failed and refused to upset this person further by posting her own childs fantastic results. So there Kaz! Everyone deserves to know how wonderful you were that day, I know how much you were bursting to share the news and wouldn't!
Right, the housework can go hang this morning, it's a beautiful day and I am off to the bootsale!Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

OH is in bed still and I am just having a cuppa before jumping in the shower

Morning everyone,
It's a lovely bright and breezy day here today (thank goodness because yesterday it never got past being dull and dreary!) so I already have one load on the line and another in the washer.
I am feeling really fed up today thought, and did yesterday too. My partner is working really hard on his business at the moment, which I am working hard on too to support him. But this means that most nights this week he has worked till 7pm and the one night that he didn't I was running a group until after 7! Then yesterday he also had to work all day and we went round to friends last night. Today he got up at 6.30 and has gone for a ride on his motorbike saying he has no idea when he will get back and then later he will go the pub with his friends as he does every sunday.
I am feeling a bit unwanted to be honest and we did talk about this last night before we went out but his conclusion is that he works hard so he should be able to spend his free time doing what he wants and enjoys (i.e. on his bike or in the pub). I pointed out that that meant he doesn't enjoy spending his spare time with me and he got all huffy on me.
I don't expect him to spend all of his free time with me but it would be nice to think that he wants to be around me! At the minute I am working as an assistant psychologist and trying to finish writing up my PhD thesis. In 2 weeks time I go back to uni to start clinical psychology training and that will mean I won't be home till 7 at least each night, plus I will be working 3 days a week, 1 day a week at uni, 1 study day, running the house on my own (he doesn't help at all) and still trying to finish my PhD. I just don't think I will be able to cope if he doesn't start to show me he appreciates me
Sorry to moan. It's probably not helping that my best friends are away...my parents!
Anyway, no plans for today other than to do some thesis. I cleaned the house from top to bottom yesterday and did allt he food shopping.
I hope everyone has a good sunday...including me0 -
Moning everyone. Kazonline, congratulations to your son, and hugs to everyone in need (sorry, had to quickly skim through the posts this morning).
DS(4) has helped me make blueberry and apple pancakes for breakfast this morning, with the last of my blueberry crop, so got the aftermath of that to clear away. WM on, and a couple of things hanging on the line, weather not looking promising this morning yet.
Got a couple of freecyclers calling today to pick things up (hopefully), I didn't think it would be such hard work trying to give stuff away!
Mince defrosting for tea, I guess that will be spag bol, it'll be up to DH to decide, as I've gtg to work this afternoon.
Hope your Sunday is restful,

Hugs Fay,
I think that you need to set aside a regular date night with OH to ensure that you spend some qualtity time togerther. Sometimes men are extremely thoughtless. Also think that you need to have words about the housework it sounds like your working as hard as him and a more equal division of labour is appropriate.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Hi all :hello:
I haven't been on this site since Friday pm but it seems as though I have missed a lot in such a short space of time.
Shez whenever I have "one of those days", I tell myself that I have to have the odd bad day to appreciate the good days. It makes it just a bit easier to suffer the bad days.
Queenie you have two lovely boys there. You are right to be proud of them. What a nice thing to do for you.
Snowy I was glad to read that you have managed to have at least one decent sleep. I'll bet you feel much better for it.
Topher good luck with the Inspection. (they don't have a "biting fingernails" emoticon here but I would use it if I could.)
Kaz you must be so proud of your son. What fantastic results! I just hope my DS can pull off the same results when he sits his exams in a couple of years.
Joannasmum Scary to think you may have been followed before your car was stolen. You seem to feel much better about things now though, which is good - with the exception of your MIL anyway. She was a tad insensitive to say the least.
My "cook your larder dry" attempt is going well. Have only had to buy the basics on my recent visit to the supermarket so I am saving quite a few pennies. :j :j :j Today's dinner will be chicken with a sauce of some sort. I haven't decided what kind of sauce as I will have to see what's available in the cupboard.
DS, DD and I are going swimming shortly then heading into town to change our library books. They have been very good this weekend so I may treat them to lunch somewhere nice.
Hope everyone has a good Sunday. Oh, Hi to all who follow after too.
