    :hello: Gooooooood Morning OS'es :D:D:D

I can't stop and chat today but I did want to tell you what a wonderful, wonderful day it has and it's going to be today :D:D:D

After a late, disturbed, night, I was woken up by my boys to be told that today is "Mum Appreciation Day!" :j :j

D12yo had made me breakfast of boiled egg with grilled tomatoes, D11yo had made me a coffee and also designed a background picture for the desktop which is ACE!!!!

    *Big lumpies in throat* :o

They've fed/watered the chook/quails/cat, they're clearing up after their cooking and I'm being sent off for a bubble bath :T

    How fabulous is *that*!!!!! :D:D:D:D

So, as much as I'd love to stop and chat with you all .... I'm off to be pampered, loved, cuddled and spoiled rotten. Guess that means no OS'ing for me today then ;)

Btw, those eggs were cooked to perfection! ;) The coffee, well you couldn't get better in the world and those tomatoes were the sweetest this side of Uranus.

    Take care :D:D:D

PenPen, mr troo picked some damsons the other day. They were covered in bugs so he put them in water "to drown them" LOL. He said when they were dead, he'd leave the fruit on the draining board to dry off. But he forgot and went to bed, in the morning the fruit had all split open and was soggy

Time's getting on, do you think it's about time I got dressed? lol

Suppose it's now too late to say that they probably would have been good for jam? I'd probably still have used them, as long as there weren't too many mortal remains of the beasties.

Queenie, how lovely :j Big hugs to your boys, you should be very proud!

morning all.. today is the day i start my new healthy living eating plan or diet as they say lol.. went to slimming world on thursday and ive a long long way to go but took the first step and hey presto this time next year i will be ...... well lets say a lot lighter on my feet fingers x.. I didnt start yesterday as i was up in peterborough and was having lunch with a friend..

Im hoping to lose 1 stone by end october and another by christmas and if i lose 2 pounds a week i will have lost 5 stone by the time i want to go on hols in june..

5 stone to some is a lot but not to me ive got double that to lose and although i havnt a problem with how i look to others my health needs sorting out and a weight lose will do that..

So by moving house and area and losing weight no one back in peterborough will recognise me next year lol mind you thats not a bad thing with some people..

so im going to surf the website in a mo to try and get some meals sorted so we not rushing and eating rubbish..

will catch up with you all laters..

  • Looks like i'm in for another quietish day with my two furbabies today. It's really funny that when i'm not in, they want to spend the day outside, but when they know i'm here they want to sit as close to me as possible all day. They don't do that with DH, although they do make a fuss of him when he's making his packed lunch.

It is so dull here that i thought it was really early when i woke up. I managed about 11 hours sleep, so lovely slim ankles at the moment.

Plan is to do some washing, pack my hospital bag, and clean the kitchen surfaces today. I also need to do some school work as i spent most of the day yesterday flying.

I also want to save some energy for my girlie evening and day tomorrow, as we want to crack on with planning my sisters wedding, as i am the family expert after planning ours last year. ;)

hope those of you watching football/rugby don't get rained on. hugs all round, as i had best get on.

    See y'all later,
    Michelle, xx

    Morning everyone.

I'm getting ready to roast the chicken. Why am I so nervous about this. I suppose it's cos it's not familiar. We never had roast chicken (or beef or anything) when I was growing up. Curry, italian etc no problem - i understand them and can get on with them

I'll let you know how things go.

DS supposed to be at football for first time. But he's so shy. anyone any advice on dealing with a very very shy 41/2 year old? I'm not much good cos I'm really shy too and I would like for him not to end up like me.:o

Right - lets tackle this chicken. It will not beat me.

Morning all.......((HUGS)))))) to those who need them........ Joannasmum, glad the car has been found, but if its been used in an armed robbery guess you will not get it back for a bit, even if you feel you still want it!!!!!

Well after yesterdays bad day today is a little bettter........WE HAD AN OFFER ON A FLAT IN THE SHELTERED ACCOMODATION WE WANT.........YYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY...............

Obviously we need to look at it, but its in the complex we wanted, oh went for a paper and could see which oine it was..... so first thing Monday will be on the phone to make an appointment to view............I have a houseful of stuff to sell............so it looks lke we will move the stuff we want to the flat and then have an an everything must go sale....... thoughts at the mo a little aprehensive.... but looking to the future, when anything happen to OH I could not afford to go on living in this house......... the accomodation is connected to the emergency alarm system, so if I needed help, its there.... heating is included in the rent, and there is a laundry so I have a washer and tumble drier to sell as well as half the furniture including the dresser in the kitchen which I think will be too big to go in the living room. We are going to have to downsize quite a bit......... all my quilting stuff is going to have to be reviewed and somehow I am going to have to sell a lot of it...........but hopefully keep the two machines and the overlocker I have...... if we decide not to take the flat then we get downgraded on the housing list for 12 months...........right now I cannot see that happening.......What a suprise to get the letter in the post this morning. I am all of a twitch, as my mother used to say.............daunted at what we are going to have to shift, but it will ease our financial situation a bit and may be allow me to pay off our loan quicker..........

Yesterday we were looking at caravan holiday in France...... looking at 10 days next spring, we could get quite a good deal in the Loire for about £100 a week ferry travel included.... plans will have to go on the back burner for a while till we sort the flat out.

OH bowling this afternoon, I have a load of washing to put out on the line, thats something I will miss!!!!!! there are gardens around the flats but no drying area.......OH will also have to arrange to keep his gardening tools at our friends across the road, or at the allotment.........by the way, the local refer to the housing complex as ? palace...........cannot put the name it would give too much info away!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right I am off to get on with my little jobs, by the way the choccy cake was delish............plenty left for today.............

  • Morning all - hope everyone is well.

I am hoping for a relaxing afternoon today, fingers crossed!! Taking daughter dancing this morning and dropping son off at swimming. Housework to do while they are out, wm done 1 load, another 2 to do! Collect both the kids and then make dinner. Hopefully, while husband and son listen to the footy match me and daughter can have a relaxing afternoon watching a dvd! Having said all that, it doesnt usually happen the way I plan it but.... LOL.

Joannasmum - glad the car has been found

Hugs to everyone who needs them:grouphug:

  • Liney, what's a wheelybug? Hope the LO's better soon.

    Hi guys

A wheelybug is an award winning Australian ride-on toy for kids. You can get them shaped like a bee, a cow or a ladybird. They have 360 degree swivvel wheels so it's easy for the kids to turn around when they get stuck in a corner rather than having to work out how to reverse out. My friend has twins and we bought them one each and they love them - they love to bump into each other and have hours of fun. They come in 2 sizes for different age groups. Trust me they are soo cute, can't wait till my little one is big enough to go on one (a while to go yet tho' lol) They look nice too, not all plasticky like most ride-ons. https://www.wheelybug.com

Goodness they should emaploy me as a saleswoman!! lol

Little one looking very sorry for himself, have wrapped him up warm and he's now fast asleep with dummy that takes up half of his little face! :)
