Oh it's lovely to see so many of you with good news this morning.
Queenie I wish I had your boys, they sound adorable.
Jo - I hope they have not trashed the car too much and it will still be usable
Tootles - that is fantastic news for you both. I wish my parents would go into sheltered accomodation as it would make life so less worrying for me but they don't want to lose any of their stuff! So they refuse to go and I am held hostage to their constant needs, not that I mind but I do have two sisters who don't have dependant children and I am the only one who does anything for them.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Oh how I know that feeling, I was an only child..............We need to shed stuff and I always vowed I would not put the same burdens on my children my mother put on me sssssssssssoooooooooo that is the thinking behind us moving.....I am 63 OH is 73....I know he will miss the garden, but we still have the allotment, he has said I can grow some flowers there if I want to, I must admit the garden has been lovely this year, and I know what will happen to it when we move!!!!! Our last house, which is just round the corner the garden has gone to rack and ruin.............so once new tenants come in this one will go the same way and I guess stepson will do all the improvements we have been asking him to do, and will then hike the rent. We spent over £1000 when we came in putting in a alarm system and new carpets up the stairs and in the bedrooms, if he thinks he is getting away with that he is mistaken.........he can pay for the carpets in the new place............would love wooden flooring, but not sure what it will cost......... all in the melting pot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tootles - yay for you getting the place you want!
Liney - those bugs look so cute - can you get them in 'grown up' size? I can just see me going down the road on one of those. Ladybird for me!
Joannasmum - glad the car has been found, and hope everything goes well with identifying stuff etc.
Queenie - your kids sound so wonderful. Lucky you
I agree with moggins - its lovely to hear so many people with good news today! Hope its a red letter day for all OS folk today!
*hugs* to everyone, take or leave as you please0 -
Ooops, just caught the chutney as it was beginning to catch. It's all now bottled and I couldn't resist a small taste. It is lovely and I am going to struggle to leave it to mature properly.
Still got half a bag of tomatoes left so I may make fresh tomato sauce to go with pasta for tea tonight.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Hello all  Hello again to Ageandjo, who I met in the chat room earlier. I didn't realise you had a horse - I've had horses for years and have currently got a Highland Pony who has been successfully out on loan for the last twelve years or more!
Since then I've not managed to achieve a lot - although I seem to have been really busy.
MrsMix - I'm on Xenical tablets, which means a low fat/no fat diet, so maybe we should compare notes! I've discovered that I can make bread which has only 1g of fat, which is hugely better than shop bought stuff and has the added benefit of being salt-free, if you want it that way! I've just had boiled egg and soldiers (using Flora Diet spread on the toast) for lunch.
Moggins - a glitter strewn bed sounds like little girl heaven - I'd just leave it until she grows out of it.
Kaz - I reckon that's exactly what your horoscope is telling you. Let 'em have it.
Blimey, JoannasMum - your poor car!!!
Queenie - so spoiled, and quite right too!! How lovely.
Sorry to hear you're feeling rough again today, P-P. A picnic in the garden with the bunnies sounds like a very good thing.
Jockettuk- there must be something in the water, what with all this dieting going on.Maybe we should start a "What I eat on my Diet" thread!
Peem- my son went through a shy phase when he was about 3/4. I just backed off from encouraging him to do things, but simply put him into the situation where others were doing things all around him (like a kiddie "music and movement" class) and kept telling him how clever he was and how much fun I was having. He's anything BUT shy, now!
Tootles- that's marvellous news! :j I'll keep on sending good vibes that it all happens how you're wanting it to.
Right then, this won't get things done. I need to run out and get some pet supplies, plus put some money on the Gas card or we won't be cooking anything tomorrow. Maybe we can get the dogs walked at the same time - which would also walk the son, which is no bad thing. :rotfl:
Have a happy day, everyone!:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
afternoon all,
i am here at last kaz, hope you are fine today and you get the fence finished
have cleaned and decluttered the house, been to asda and am now thinking of going for brambles, its a beautiful day here, i should really be in the garden though
queenie - you must be so proud of your boys, that was a lovely day to give you, but i am sure you deserve it
joannasmum - i am glad your car has been found, hope its okay
penny-pincher - big hugs from me, hope your new treatment will make a difference to you
tootles - the sheltered accommodation sounds lovely and as you say you will still have your allotment, my father and stepmother were very happy in their sheltered house
lots of love to all and hope lineys baby is a lot better now xx0 -
Well gang I have just made a banana loaf in the BM - first attempt, smells divine, just letting it cool down.
One of my dogs has eaten a candle so had to hoover up - she's ok by the way.
Have put nappy wash in the machine, unloaded dishwasher, may try and make same more cake but using apples and pears (separately) and give one to my neighbour who is really old and lonely next door. Would go and sit with him for a bit but he smokes a pipe and I don't want the baby in a smokey atmosphere.
Can't decide what to do next - apart from make a cuppa and put feet up with a slice of banana cake! All the pets are snoring and baba is thinking about waking up so will be cuddling him very soon.

Afternoon everyone,
Having an extremely lazy day so far. Made DD poached eggs for breakfast (our no.1 pamper food) and that is all I've done today.
Joanna's mum - it's horrible to think that those barstewards were in your house, I hope they have been arrested.
Queenie, what lovely sons you have.
Penny pincher, so sorry you're going through a bad time at the moment - hope you feel better soon.
Kaz - your neighbours should be grateful but I know they won't be. OUr neighbours came out last time DH was replacing the fence and said can you make sure it's straight the last owners took some of our garden. We measured and yes, it was out of line by 12" but there was nothing we could do about it because of our pergola. Not only that but we have lived here 24 years and replaced the fence once already when no mention was made about it not being in line:mad: .
Peem, it's difficult to give a child confidence, I'm sure it's a built in thing though, our DD has never met a stranger but DS has had much more problems overcoming shyness.
Can't remember what everyone else is up to but have a good day.

Just having a well earned :coffee:
So far today I have changed and washed both boys bedding, plus another load of darks, all hanging on the line. I've taken all the car seats out and vax'd them and the car carpets, so the drive has an assortment of things on it, dryingI've hoovered and vax'd all the downstairs carpets too. Will put the hard floor attachment on and do the kitchen floor before I've finished as well. I also used stardrops in the waster as I ran out of vax fluid after 2 tanks - it seems to have worked a treat. I've also got the plastic tablecloths, bath mat and shower curtain soaking in a bio/bleach solution in the bath.
Still to do today, tidy upstairs and give my room a good clean. Clean the windows, especially in the kitchen. Want to sort DS1's bookcase as it looks such a mess - I may even do some thinning while I'm at it. (DS2 hasn't noticed the loss of his baby books) Then, after I've made tea and got boys to bed, more business plan writing (with the aid of a glass or three of Rose;))
Mr TM has run the hoover round the dining room floor - after having been asked of course! He's now out doing "cadet" sports stuff and won't be back until about 10pm. He did buy me some wine when he was in town though :A I did suggest he may like to clean the bathroom, seeing as he shaves in the sink...... but no. Ah well, I tried. That's another job that needs doing today cos it's 'orrible ATM.
Ok, :coffee: drunk, best get my nose to the grindstone. No rest for the wicked and all that......(Hell, I must have been wicked in a past life :rotfl:)
