    Morning all

Hope people managed to get some more sleep or at least are gradually waking up ((hugs))

Things are looking up round here - last night we got a new little side table and office chair for £12. Someone from Mr S's office is moving back to the States and selling off all their stuff. Just as well as the bolts from our last computer chair were poking through the cushion bit!

Mr S and I went out last night and had a great chat - it's been ages since we've had time to have a catch up as he's been so busy. He's off to Strasbourg with work tomorrow so it was nice to have a catchup and a chat before he left.

Off to pick up something from the DHL depot - my hearing's not great and I missed the guy when he rang the door. Only problem is the depot's the far side of Cambridge!

Picked up 3 lots of Cauldron veggie sausages in Somerfield's Reduced cabinet yesterday - two in the freezer and we'll be having bangers and mash tonight!

Looking quite chilly here - there's a film of frosty stuff on the cars this morning.

    Have a good day everyone!

Good Morning everyone especially the early birds Snowy,Mrs Mix, Liney, dlb, ****deep breath**** Amanda, lillibet, vicky, Ticklemouse, Pen Pen, hex2, Catowen, Moggins (I think darling DD2 is old enough to vaccum that bed herself and learn that 'actions' can have 'consequences', but don't tell her it was my idea :D) and ageandjo (boo hoo, I want a horse....)
Hmm, I notice that everyone's lights are out - I hope that doesn't mean everyone is dissapearing from the daily thread?? Nah, surely not - I'm sure it's cause everyone is busy with OSing in the true fashion :D
I notice there's no Queenie yet, nor Churchmouse.... I hope you ladies didn't lead them too far astray last night???
I tried what little advice was given on city hospital last night and switched off my alarm to see how long I need to sleep. Luckily my secondry alarm was still on or I'd still be there now! Apparently Einstein needed 12 hours per night - I guess I'm like him :D
Others apparently function perfectly on 3!!!
    Plans today are
GET THE FENCE UP! (providing nasty neighbours are still away ;))
I do need to shop at some point, and I also need to set a loaf on rapid bake. With the children being back in school we've hardly used any bread!
There's also another stack of washing to do, plus drying and ironing - thankfully it's good drying weather.
Kitchen needs another tidy - the boys managed to trash it during my lie in.
Well, best go and jump in the shower as there's a strange odour lurking here.....
Best wishes to everyone for a good day,
    Kaz x
PS (I wonder if Shez has posted in the time it's taken me to type this up...... Yakky da Shez :D. Hmm still no twink nor tootles either....)

Morning all, lots of sport today I see. Vicky I am a fairly recent convert to the game of rugby, purely the skill and excitement of it of course, not the men themselves you understand;)

In fact my 30 year old female colleague has just started to play, we have nicknamed her 'OOMEE' now (everytime she gets up it OOh me this and OOh me that:rotfl: )

Work this morning and then housework this afternoon, tonight I would like to start looking at my Christmas cross stitch, do get a bit distracted these days by OS though.

    Have a good day all.

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

Yeah, yeah. Whatever! I don't believe you!

I've been going to matches for  14 years and it was only the other week when I realised that I was actually watching a passage of play as opposed to legs all the time. Well, I am 27 so maybe I'm maturing :confused: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Um, with regards to putting up my fence today....
I've just read my horoscope for the day (this bit's an overview that applies to everyone) and this is what it says :

The fearful Cancer Moon encourages us to be passive-aggressive if we are too concerned with other people's reactions. But withholding feelings doesn't work, especially now that the Sun is squaring dark Pluto. Our neighborhood star shines its bright light all the way into the shadow worlds where unspoken feelings can be well hidden. We can futilely struggle for power and control as we try to keep secrets from spilling out into the open.

Does this mean that if my neighbours come home and start on at me about the fence I should tell them where I'd really like to put it instead of biting my tongue :p:o:D ???

    YES :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning all, I posted on the Flylady Challenge thread but it suits this thread better so I'm copying it to here :D Also I haven't posted on here for a while so I thought I'd better pop in before you all forget who I am :rotfl:

    Here ya go -

I worked from 11am til 2 pm yesterday, mr troo picked me up after work and we were too late to pick up the carpet cleaner. So we went for a drive and ended up in Thornbury, went shopping in Somerfield - first time we've shopped there, I've decided I quite like them lol - then went for a drive down all the little lanes. Oh you should have seen all the free fruit - blackberries, sloes (is that how you spell sloes?), apples and pears. Trouble is we didn't plan on fruit picking and only had an empty lunch box and a beer glass in the car so we filled them with blackberries. We'll be going back for more :T We were given loads of cooking apples so my house today will smell like apple and blackberry crumble :D We bought some tayberry bushes for the garden too. And someone gave us 2 vines so hopefully we'll have grapes next year.

I'd have missed all that if I'd been good and stayed in to fly. Sometimes being lazy turns out really well :rotfl:

I've got the house to myself today so I'll start sorting those books.

Ooooh I hope you don't report me for spamming :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Hi, again!

Done 45mins of ironing, so now 15mins of surfing, with Madame Bovary on Real Player, tea cake and cup of tea. Never can decide whether to blub, or give her a slap! :D

Kaz, best of British with the fence. When you right your life story, you'll have a whole volume "kaz - the fence years" :rotfl:

Hex  how did DH manage that with the oven?

    Hi, Cat, enjoy the party!

Ageandjo, I agree with moggins - I use a goblet blender for soup, then sieve if it needs it (tom pips, pepper skin, etc). I bought a nahd blender ojn recommendation of MIL and SIL, but it's great for smoothies (much easier to clean) but left lumps in my soup

Seraphina, DH and I need a chat about plans, etc. :D

Samanthasmum (previously Joannasmum  ) enjoy the christening.

Edit - that is both brilliant and V scary

Doddsy, I believe you, obviously!

Troo, I'll be baking apple and damson pie, to prove that people still make pies. :D

15mins nearly up (Mme Bovary about to get her comeuppance  ) so see you soon.

    Penny. x
