joannasmum - I know we shouldn't laugh at others misfortune ... but your post has me :rotfl:
I remember one particularly severe winter when I had my eldest 3 little and had to take eldest to school in the morning, dd to 'nursery' at the school in the afternoon and youngest in the el cheapo McClaren buggy with Doberman furbaby faithfully lugging along.
Half way home, up a very steep hill, one of the handles of the buggy actually snapped OFF!!! And there I was, trying to push this now solo handled, snow covered, lilly livered, not worth a farthing, wretched excuse for a pushchair up the remainder of the very, (now very very!) steep hill with squawking child in it, whining dog beside it, several carrier bags dangling from it and one very unquintessentially, querulous Queenie!!!!! Happy days! :rotfl: :rotfl:
Glad you are home safe and survived the trials and tribulations of an adventure on the bus with babes ((hugs))
Shez - nasty, selfish, rotten, selfcentred, wretch of d11yo (bless!) has borrowed my Muppatwoire (MP3) and I didn't have it charged, ; nor did I have your reminder!!! (Naughty Shez!Where were you when I needed your common sense!!!?)
Haven't found a Mystic Thread yet ... but ... Discussions beckoneth, come hither! Forsooth, you may begineth oneth!Let mystic moments commence! (dare ya!)

Doddsy - sorry your job is still giving you grief and hope you feel better soon, sounds like you need a bit of pampering!
DH and I are off shopping tonight to Kidderminster when he gets in followed by a night of mad passion as I'm away for a week:o

Thanks Taplady, I'm just grinning and bearing it at the mo, until I can sort out dd2 and school.
Just be careful you don't put the poor old things back out again:D :eek:We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

I've been to the doc again - it was my usual GP, back from wherever she was last time I went. I've been signed off for another two weeks. I am so grateful for that, was getting into a panic about possibly having to go to the orifice on Monday. Am trying to get rational about work but I hate the place, just want to cry when I think of it. I phoned work to tell them I'm off for two weeks...even just phoning the damn place made me want to cry.
(((((((hugs)))))))) That is a dreadful place to find yourself in. Positive vibes being sent your way. You *can* get through this!SnowyOwl wrote:.... It's a beautiful day here, think I should go for a nice long walk in the sunshine. Apparently the sun on your bare skin generates lots of VitD production which is also good at relieving depression. Flylady can go and jump, I can't be bothered.
See you all later.

Just made a major mistake with the meal plan. Dragged kids out and bought the week's shopping, then realised DH is away from sunday lunchtime 'til wednesday evening. Roast chicken on sunday for me and two tiny appetites?... .
Not a mistake, merely an opportunity!
I can't do it right this minute, but use the search function and type in "Rubber Chicken" .. you can cook your chicken as usual and then use it to make a few more meals. If you have a freezer, they can be frozen and become an "investment" instead of major mistake: no freezer? Ok, still check out rubber chicken and do the suggested meals anyway! It's still good to go up to Wednesday and will feed you and the 2 weenies w/out being repetative, until DH returnsEverything on your meal plan can either be a) shuffled forward from Thurs or b) scrapped until next
Good luck, turn that perceived mistake into a wonderful example of ingenuity:T

PP - glad you turned up at last, I was just about to send you a text to make sure you're OK. Sorry you had a crappy hospital appointment
Joannasmum/Queenie - for some reason you've both reminded me of the time my mum locked herself out of the house with me aged about 4, my sister in the pushchair, several carrier bags of shopping and buckets of torrential rain! I remember her borrowing a ladder from a neighbour and crawling in through one of the upstairs fanlights while me and sis stood watching!Operation Get in Shape

Good afternoon everyone,
joannasmum - your tale reminds me of when my 2 were little, i had 2 under 2, couldnt drive and had to push a big old double buggy everywhere. one day, in the middle of town i had them both in the buggy, loads of shopping and the back wheel fell off, and rolled down the street, much to the delight of DS!!!! I had to call OH (as he was then) to come and help, although some lovely people did try and help put the wheel back on for me, but it was no use!!!! I finally passed my driving test 2 days after OH and i split up - that showed him what i could do without him!!!!!
Snowy - glad you have another 2 weeks off, hope you hear from Sainsburys soon xx
PP - sorry you are feeling bad today, have they put you on your new meds yet? i hope they will work for you x
Rzl - was going to ask about your exchange, but then noticed the change in your siggy!!! Hope they will still give you your bonus!!!!
