Evening all
I've just read the entire thread and my mind's gone blank - nothing to do with the glass of wine on an empty tummy - honest.
Had 2 little ones here all day today - they're both at that very cute "consipracy stage" - they got up to all sorts of mischief but it was very sweet and amusing to watch them plotting how to get some water to play with in the play kitchen....Bless them.
DH is off on a work thing next week, he's going with a female collegue and has over compensated with flowers, wine and chocs tonight...I won't complain.....bless him too!
Just about to go cook shop bought burgers for dinner - it's been one of those weeks!
Hope you've all had a great day - hugs all round."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Evening everyone :hello:
:grouphug: catznine :grouphug:
Well, thank goodness it's the end of the week! I'm absolutely exhausted as school is quite intense at the moment. Other teachers in other junior/primary schools say that they don't have the workload that we do.... but we've just got a new head AND we're in special measures! I had a meeting with my mentor tonight and we set a mini-timetable for this weekend. So far I've broken it by not marking a single Literacy book since I got home because I've been surfing on here. Actually, I am allowed tonight off, but my big box of books is shouting loudly at me!
DH and I are going out for a meal tonight to a local "gastro" pub. For our wedding, some friends of my parents gave us some money that was not to be spent on anything sensible, but a nice meal out together.......... so we're going on our nice meal out!
I'm also really excited because the latest Book People mini catalogue has arrived. I always have a little look online, but a good old catalogue gets me jumping for joy (plus it means that I have post that isn't a bill.......) :j :j.
Take care everyone.

Hello guys! Have not posted for a few days as trying to get into new routine being at home full time and with DS in pre-school, also trying to establish a housework routine (FLYing!) and OH has been away - back tomorrow after 10 days thank god. Hats off to anyone bringing kids up on their own - I don't know how you do it - I'm exhausted!
Please tell me how you guys manage to read the threads on here and still have time to be OS!! I've tried limiting myself to 15mins which isn't even enough to read the daily thread. And this site is SO SO addictive - HELP!
You guys are such a good influence on me as I've made jam, HM bread, baked banane bread and muffins plus cooked every meal from scratch this week!
Welcome to Shane's Angel. Too tired to put a call out to everyone else - take care.

Everyone seems to be having such a rotten day
huge (((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) to you all, it's times like this we could all do with being closer to each other so we could sit round and commiserate properly.

sounds great moggins, we can all sit round a lovely log fire, glass of wine or two, plates of sandwiches and cakes and have a good laugh, do us all a power of good, your place or mine?0

Mine, definitely. My dining room is made for it, huge fireplace. Sturdy table and right next to the room with the kettle in it, and for those of us who require something stronger the drinks cupboard is on the right hand side of the tableOrganised people are just too lazy to look for things
