Taplady that is fantastic news. I'm so relieved for you both
I must get a wiggle on, I've just spent the last hour drinking coffee with my neighbour as it's the last chance I will get before she moves house at the end of the month. I know she's not going far away but we always walk to school together and pop over to each others houses and it's just not going to be the same.
I did get the benefit of a rummage through her cellar though and have come home with some huge 2 handled pans which will be ideal for jam making, the biggest colander I have ever seen and a demi-john. She has five more demi-johns sat there and is going to ask her DH if I can have the lot as they are muslim and don't drink wine (the demi-johns were there when they moved into the house).Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

:T Wonderful news Taplady! Been worrying about you both!
((((Hugs)))) Shez - It's ok to have down days, we all have them but give yourself a pat on the back for all you do get done, holding down a job, bringing up a family, looking after the OH etc and being a really nice person.
I often feel left behind by reading all that everyone does but often it will inspire me to do just one thing that I wouldn't otherwise have done (if you know what I mean) I'm rambling again aren't I?
:bdaycake: HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZED!

Hello again!
Well in my PMT (im blaming it on) state i might have gone have put my Size 9's init ! (dont really take size 9) - Just done a right "to the point" email to my boss about things i need to get off my chest!- now he will either come in later and sort something out - OR he might tell me to go seeing how i feel?
Sometimes I feel like giving it all up and moving to a nice big house in the country with horses to ride and jam and pies to make and having people round for coffee mornings, joining the W.I. whilst doing my holistic therapys from home !!!- then i wake up and join the real world!
elona - yes i did buy a top yesterday in Next to cheer myself up - but was also unhappy at trying on a pair of jeans and you know when you look in the changing room mirror and think "WHO's that middle aged women with the chunky arms and "muffin top" waist looking back at me???"" :rotfl:
Thanks guys (kaz/elona/CM) for the "pep up" - you had me "welling up there" - waving to you too CM - even though you did grass me up:laugh:i'll let you off!

Fab news Taplady - bet releived isn't even the word!!
Thanks to everyone who posted kind words. We now know that the funeral is going to be a week tomorrow, when I am due to fly out a week today so I really do have to make the decision. I really really don't know what to do!! OH, after saying that he wants me to go, last night changed his wording to "I'd like you to be there but please go on holiday" whilst my dad is playing the guilt trip by saying "I understand if you don't but I'd really like you to come" I really don't know what I want to do. I want to go on holiday as its my first one in ages and will be the last for a while, but I want to attend the funeral and support OH. And I don't want any of OH's family thinking that I don't care because I've gone away rather than attending... Especially as his sisters' boyfriend, who nobody particularly gets on with and isn't a part of the family as much as I am, will be thereI wish there was some way of me flying out a day later but there really isn't
OH is going to speak to his dad today and see what he thinks I should do.
Sorry for the long rant, off to wollow in a huge cup of hot chocolate0 -
