    Good morning everyone

Raining here and looking very dismal, but at least it's not cold yet.

I got my w/m fixed last night so looks like lots of washing for me to do and get dry when I get home from work. Will also have to process a load of small marrows brought down off my allotment by a friend yesterday, don't know what the heck I'm going to do with them.

:bdaycake: to Zed42, have a lovely day!

ageandjo - good vibes coming your way

Queenie - like the Calzone receipe, will be trying that one soon.

Hope everyone elses day is good/gets better

We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee.

((((Shez)))) Sounds like you need a good tonic (multi vit or similar) and a good dose of sunshine (try a walk lunch time - even in the rain!). I know it won't make itty things go away, but it might make you feel a bit better about them. Funnily enough as I was making my cuppa I thought of all that fruit I'm planning on jaming, and wondered when I'll ever get to do it!!!! Don't feel guilty about that kinda stuff - I'm only doing it because I 'want' to, and will enjoy it. Jam's never really on my shopping list, so it's hardly money saving for me!
Tinkerbelluk - I'm doing a Holistic Therapies course. We're studying nutrition, anatomy and physiology, reflexology and swedish massage at the moment. Later we move on to do Aromatherapy, counselling and some other things. It's a lovely course to do, and it's nice to have something to focus on.
Right, off to see what's on the goggle box this morning :D

PS Churchmouse - I nearly forgot to say I used to get the same problem, so when pc is playing up I now type into 'notepad' on my pc, and when I've finished I copy and paste it onto MSE :D pps - if you think Pen pen is a chatterbpxy, then what does that make me? I joined about same time and have a couple of hudred posts on her  :o

Morning all....(((((((((((HUGS))))) to those who need them especially Taplady and ageandjo........I know what ists like when you feel your luck has run out, been there several times...............more times than I care to remember really.........

  Massive thnderstorm during the night OH slept right through it!!!!!!!!!!!!  a bit brighter this morning, but think its still raining, have only opened the curtains, not really looked. OH is hopefully bowling this afternoon so I can do some sewing.

Nothing else much planned for today, have a load of whites but not enough to do a wash, so they will have to wait a bit longer.....a couple of coloured things from yesterday need ironing, but they can wait until I have more and I'll do it all at once.

Right off for now for my caffine fix.................

Take care of yourself, chest colds and asthmatics make for a nasty combination (DS2 is asthmatic, so I've seen it at first hand!!)

    Morning everyone,

Dull day here, in more ways than one, weather is grey and colleague has called in sick so I'm by myself all day.

Happy Birthday Zed 42, I repeated all of my twenties from the age of 25 until dd grew old enough to count and realised something fishy was going on:rotfl: .

Ageandjo, I'm sorry for all your problems and that you're feeling down. Why not try chanting a mantra, there was one going round the DFW board a while ago "Money is coming easily to me" and it seemed to work for some people - why not try "We'll be moving soon" or "The neighbours will get their comeuppance", it might make you feel a bit better if nothing else.

Taplady, thinking of you and DH, hope everything is OK.

Penny pincher - hope the new treatment makes a real difference to your life.

Scuzz - ooh I hate people like that and it's so difficult to fight against them when its not in your nature.

Hugs to everyone else who needs them.

DS worked again last night, came in at 4 am - I always wake when he comes in, not because he's noisy but I sleep with one ear open I think, DH sleeps like a log and is very difficult to wake but I can wake up and be alert in seconds.

Must go and open the post.

Hi everyone on this miserable rainy day

First off ((((((HUGS)))))) to everyone who wants one - I am a bit down today - my RSI (Carpal Tunnel) is kicking in big time and so I have to buy a new splint and pay for a doctor's certificate so I can use my laptop for an exam I have next week (it's normally hand written!) so that is £30 to come from nowhere and I am seriously bummed about it. However without the splint I will end up signed off and without the exam I'll lose my job - so both are worthwhile in the end! Got to find the silver lining somewhere init

However, my ex took me out for dinner last night and I have made my lunch again today - I really should keep track of how many days running this is now as I could do a quick calculation of how much money I've saved and give myself a lil boost!

Hope you all have a fabulous day

    Nix xx

  • Hiya everybody,

Just a quick one for me as I'm just about to dish out our tea.

Scuzz - I can understand your frustration. It's the weekend soon.

Shez Don't be too hard on yourself. By the sounds of it with those sweaty attacks I'd say your very hormonal atm. Just go with the flow and realise that it's not how things are but just how YOU feel. This is what I tell myself anyway. :D

Snowy Took the dogs for a walk this morning and all seemed calm and tranquil around the place.
A plastic sleeve is another name for a plastic bag that can clip in a folder. It was full of all the receipts that I've recently purchased for the house. Btw I still haven't found it but have done the spreadsheets from my price book. Good luck at the dentist. I need to go too.

Our roof turned up today and we go over on Monday to pick up the steel. :j We also need to run some errands tomorrow. Ok best go.

Happy Birthday Zed  Have a lovely day. ((((hugs))) to those who need them. Jamie Oliver is on tonight. He's done a restuarant with kids over here. I think he's lovely.

Queenie - I will cut and paste that recipe. Sounds yummy.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
