Sorry, so many posts first thing in the morning, and i cant remember anything else, so big hugs to anyone who needs one xxx

Zed, what you are saying about age made me remember, when i turned 30, i told my 2 that once you hit 30 you take off 10 years, so i was really only 20!!!! Worked lovely until DS told our new neighbours that i was 21 and he was 7, nearly 8
Well, today i only have one here, and she is at nursery this morning, so i thought i would have ago at making that chocolate yogurt cake, as i have yougurt in the fridge to use up. Hoping for a nice relaxing day actually, already have Tuesdays left over stew for dinner tonight and i hoovered late last night (whilst DS was up watching the football, an !!!!nal fan so hes very happy now they have finally won a match!!!) so its nice to wake up to a really clean house!!!!
Right, better get on before little one gets here, and need to find where my 2 are, still no movement from upstairs!!!!
    Have a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Um - sorry, I've forgotten everything else already, and not yet read yesterdays thread. Ooo - I do recall I was wondering what it was you said you make to use up the odds and ends in your fridge Queenie, ah, 'calzones' - what are they?? ...

    Oooh calzones are DELISH!!!!

It's basically an Italian cornish pasty made with pizza dough. I make pizza dough in the BM. When it's done, I break it into bread roll size lumps, then roll out the lumps into a circles. Put your filling just off centre (only needs a heaped tablespoon per circle) fold over and seal the edges with the tines of a fork.
Put on a baking tray (I sprinkle polenta over the baking tray first) and bake in the oven for 12 - 15 minutes, voilá, yummy scrummy calzones :D:D

Fillings: I vary mine to suit what I have. Left over bolognaise sauce is good. The one's I made this week though had chopped up turkey slices, a few chopped olives, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, the end blob of a jar of red pesto and I sprinkle some grated cheddar on the top before baking. Traditionally, it would be parmesan, but I didn't have any leftovers of that
To freeze: Flash freeze on a the tray before wrapping/labelling.

Hope you feel much better soon!!! (((healing hugs)))

    Good morning all!

    happy birthday zed42
    (((scuzz))) (((ageandjo)))
    (((taplady))) hope all is ok
PP - hope those painkillers get to work fast
twink - I love it when I get new glasses/contacts - everything suddenly comes back into focus! (even the dust:o )
    hi to everyone else, too!

Wonderful storm last night! The lightning was amazing! I had to go out in it, to drive DS's friend to meet his mum to go home. That was scary.
Also, yesterday I found out why our computer had suddenly started a go-slow. DS1 was here on Sunday (for DS2's 16th birthday) and went on the internet. I wish I'd said no to him, cos yesterday I found out he had turned off the firewall:mad:   So now all sorts of baddies (adware) have come to nest in my nice clean computer.
I don't think he'll be going near it for a long time!
Today we have a home-ed activity somewhere in Hatfield Forest. I have never driven there, so am a bit nervous, cos I know there are 2 car parks, but I don't know which one I want, nor how to get to either of them!!! I expect I'll find it, but when I am going somewhere new I always worry in advance about how to get in! Once I'm there I'm not nervous any more!

    Have a good day everyone!

It's pouring with rain here so I will just plod on with flying, still loads to do but I'll have to try and not wake DH up. I'm going to make a sausage casserole in the slow cooker today as DH will be having a manic evening. Then come 8pm it will be time to collapse on the sofa ready for Anthea :D

We are in a HA property as well. Normally you can go to the council offices and they have a book with all the addresses etc of people wanting to move from HA properties. It lists the weekly rents and what is on offer and what they are looking for. You then just jot down their number, or even go and have a look first-then call them. Sorry to hear of all your problems. Hugs and good luck.

    Hi
We registered with the HA ages ago and look at their book from time to time but it only ever seems to be flats that people have to offer or wanting to swap a 3 bed house for a 3/4 bed house. The HA are useless and it's half their fault that we are in this mess. They have picked on us for a while and we have been threathedend with eviction from them when we havent done anything wrong and I proved it to them!! it's a case of 'our face doesnt fit' I wouldnt mind if we were loud, had parties all night long but we don't we are a normal couple just living our day to day lives, we try and have nice things/holidays. it boils down to jealousy I think.
I have paid out for solictors but that didnt get us anywhere, Somerthing happend at the end of july where a nasty neighbour called us names as we pulled up outside home, my OH wanted to say summat back but I toils him not to because thats what they want, we got a letter a few days later saying it was us that did the foul mouthing:confused: I have written a witness statement but nothing happens. God I have blabbed all this out, you lot dont want to hear all this. I don't know what else to do:confused:
  • Morning all :hello:

Thought I had a chance of being on the first page today but no. :( Have been letting things slip over the last couple of weeks as far as my health is concerned so I gave myself a stern talking to on Monday and I am now making an effort go get up earlier so that I can do 10-15 mins on the exercise bike and some sit-ups before I start the rest of my day. Feel better for it already.

Zed42 :bdaycake: Happy birthday. Hope its a good one.

Taplady - fingers crossed that the news is good for you and OH. (((hugs)))

Snowy - Good luck at the dentist. I hate going to the dentist so you have my sympathy.

MrsMix Hope the chest infection clears soon. It can really drag you down, can't it?

Scuzz I can't stand working with people who are only out for themselves. How you grin and bear it, I don't know.

ageandjo I don't know your exact circumstances with your neighbours but I lived next door to a noisy neighbour for seven years and it made life a misery. I refused to move though and just called the police on a regular basis. Eventually, he got fed up and moved. :j

Twink Now that your eyesight has been improved with your new glasses have you noticed lots of things that you didn't before???

PenPen Well done on reaching 3 stars!

Oh, forgot to mention. I have been trying the "cook your larder dry" challenge. I had a £20 note and £4 coins in my purse on Monday. Today I still have the £20 note and some change. I feel quite proud of myself for spending next to nowt this week. :j

Time to hit the shower. Have a good one everbody and "hi" to all who follow.

  • Morning all and a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ZED hope you have a fantastic day and enjoy the health farm you lucky thing.

I've been away for the last 2 days with w**k, had a successful 2 days aswell. I have now broken my presenting cherry so to speak and was able to run 2 courses yesterday and tuesday, which I am really chuffed about because I hate getting up infront of people. The first one wasn't great but the second one when down really well only 4 more to do over the next 4 weeks and I am quite looking forward to them.
Our car guy has now found us a car which is hpoefully being delivered on Monday (dead excited) and DH has got the van insured which although more than we thought it would cost at least is done.
Our oven blew up on Tuesday night, luckily it is a double oven and we still have the top to use as well, but still not impressed, as it will need replacing and we've spent enough this month already.
Going to pick my Robbie tickets up this morning for tomorrow, was going to put the BM on but I've got no dried milk so will have to go get some of that.
Hoping the rain eases soon as I have a few loads of washing that needs doing.
Other than that I have a busy day in w**k (from home) so should get on.
Huggles to everyone who needs them.
  • Morning all,

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZED

Can't decide whether its its my hormones or its just really warm:confused:but I'm sweating!! Tossed & turned all night flinging off covers, O/H complaining, I then just managed to drop off and the alarm went:mad:

Not much doing today, need to pop into town for some bits so will probably return looking like a drown rat as the forecast is thunder storms.

Pen - Pen The lasagne last night went down great guns, just need to make a larger one next time.;)

Hugs to all that want one, take care
