Evening everyone
Hugs to Taplady, Roz_V, skystar and anybody else that needs one
Penny-pincher sounds like good news about the new treatment.
Still not got anywhere with the insurance company OH is going to try tomorrow, have started a log of when we call and who we talk too. The good news is we have decided to use some of our savings to get me an old banger to us until the insurance pay out.
Realistically we cant live without me being mobile as I have to get to Liverpool 3 days a week and the trip would be. Bus, train, walk to grandmas, walk back to train, train, 2nd train and another walk. Just not do-able with a 21 month old.
My sister sent me a nice bunch of flowers to cheer me up and also to say thanks for putting up with her for so long which was nice of her. We have had a store cupboard tea which is the 2nd this week, hopefully wont need to go shopping until the weekend which will make life easier. Oh and I nearly forgot the lady up the road gave me 2lb's of damsons so I can make damson gin for xmas presents.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
(((((taplady))))) I know it's easy to say but try not to worry too much, it hopefully will not be anything as serious as cancer. Hope DH has managed to arrange to go tomorrow, you can't have it hang over you any longer.
moggins, are you managing to eat yet, and are you drinking?? You need to keep yourself OK so you can use your size 7's to kick our butts!! (I did think PenPen was chancing her arm suggesting you took nines!!:rotfl:
(((hugs))) to Roz and skystar. Roz what do you think OH's Nan would want you to do? Whatever you decide it must be what you're comfortable with, as well as other people. Skystar don't let the ear pain go on too long! Ear infections are potentially more serious than many people think, not being a worryboots, just don't like to see them ignored!!
Scottishspendaholic, I'm sure you came across as friendly and confident, not c*cky!!
Penny-Pincher that's great news about a possible new treatment. I would think the Doc must feel very positive towards it, they wouldn't want to raise your hopes otherwise. Not after the last few weeks you've had. You take care, and you'll soon have your normal spick and span home back!! Wish mine could be for just a day or two!!
I have read the other posts but my brain hurts, so I'll log off and go watch some TV, I think. Something bland and undemanding:D

Please let us know hun? We'll be sat here worrying along with you
CM I did manage to have a sandwich at lunchtime and one piece of chicken with 2 hash browns for tea. I had to leave the second piece of chicken as I just felt over full at that point, great example I set for the kids.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Don't beat yourself up, moggins, at least you managed something. I think that makes you a great example for your kids!!! Isn't that what we always say, just try a little! You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
(((((((((((hugs)))))))))) to Taplady. Hope you both can sleep tonight. Would be very hard to though.
I had an awful night's sleep. I woke up with someone screaming. It was a woman and then I lay there & it happened again. I got up but no lights were on anywhere. DH was snoring soundly. I thought bloody hell what was that. I eventually got back to sleep only for it to happen again. It sounded like she was being attacked or something. It was hard to tell what direction it was coming from.
It might have been a fair way away IYKWIM as it's so quiet over here at night, noise travels. Might hear on the grape vine about it one day, and if I do I'll let you know. She truly sounded like she was frightened. I'm hoping she had some bad nightmare. But I doubt it. Think I might go for a walk afterwards just to check. I'm quite worried about her. I hope she's ok. I have no idea what to checkbut feel compelled to.
My big aim after that is find my AWOL plastic sleeve.Having roast for tea tonight and might whip up some lemon sago & custard for dessert.
Moggins - well done on eating something. :T Have a good sleep everyone.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Ooooh I'm BAD! starting this at 8 minutes past midnight. It's the only way I'll ever get to read all the posts - hee hee!
I hope you all have a wonderful, productive, moneysaving, healthy, happy day.

Hi Jo,
If you're being bad, then I'll be bad with you!
I had a mad few hours there! My sister was 'making dinner' for her boyfriend. She cooked pasta (didn't take it off when I recommended and it was mushy instead of lovely and al dente!), garlic bread and one of those dolmio pasta sauce that you heat for 2 mins in the microwave  The thing is if I thought she had even the slightest inclination to want to be able to cook properly I would show her some quick and easy (and a blooming lot cheaper!) meals to rustle up for him. But my mum and dad are both trained chefs and even they haven't been able to give her an interest in decent food!
Anyway, whilst she was cooking I decided to use the oven, too. I have made 3 fruit loafs (one of which may become part of my bake a cake for your neighbour donation, the other is for my OHs mum), a shortcake base and five cauliflower cheese meals (the caulis were 10p each). I was also gonna make spinach soup (spinach was 8p per bag) but had no cream  So....
Tomorrow I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labour... before starting the process all again!
That was a heck of a lot longer than I intended (sorry!)
Hugs to you too,
Linzi x0
