    Hi one and all!
Hugs to everyone who needs them.
Happy Birthday Prinny:beer: Hope you have a most faberoony day!
Things are much calmer here today and feeling much sunnier. Don't like days like yesterday when everything's out of kilter. Typical Libran!!
Not a great deal planned save for several chores of the domestic trivia variety...planning the weekly menu etc etc. Fortunately my friend who's going back to Germany soon is coming over tonight though to save me from myself:rotfl: :rotfl: so it will be good to catch up and hear all her plans.
    Have a lovely day everyone

  • Afternoon guys :j

Just a quickie....... had a really busy day at work today - so I'm glad I'm home now :D Put some diced turkey thighs in the SC this morning with some onion, carrots, garlic, stock and bayleafs. Smells divine but it's really watery - think I need to add some cornflour

    (((((hugs))))) to everyone
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Ooooops, I just opened my bosses pay slip by mistake. :o

Am mortified, will have to tell him, was on phone to DH at time, you should have heard me "Oooooh I've got good news, I've been paid a lot more than usual!!!"

I know he won't mind but I do!!!!

Plus seem to be dyslexic at the mo, left money in household DD account to cover final DD before pay day, should have left 15.30 but left 13.50 instead!!!

What a ninny, am so annoyed with myself, I've never had a DD bounced on that account before and never intended too either.Rang Nationwide though and they said they would appeal it for me. Mentioned MSE and punitive charges etc....:D

Carp day really...hope everyone else is having a better one.

    Good afternoon everyone,

PP - thats good news, i really hope that the new treatments will help you!!!!

Well, little one has just gone, one more to go and then we are off to my friends house for roast chicken!!!!! Its lovely when i dont have to cook, and tomorrow we are having whats left of yesterdays stew, so not much cooking then either!!!!
Did make the flapjacks earlier tho, but they came out quite dry for some reason, but the children like them, so thats all that matters.
Right, off for a quick tidy before we go out, have a good evening everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Forgot to day "Happy Birthday Purple Princess"

Sorry, hun, didn't mean to ignore you this morning and had intended to say it then, but seem to have got sidetracked :D

My DS1 has started on his passage to adulthood. He lost his first tooth today :j I know it's quite late (7 1/2) but he's determined to be like all his friends (gappy :D) and at last he's there.

Had a meeting with my accountant this afternoon - got my book-keeping system set up. Luckily it's quite straight-forward. Also did a mammoth shop today. Was meant to be a top up shop but then I realised I haven't been for ages and it quickly doubled (also helped by the odd bottle of Rose jumping in there :))

Eventually got some washing on the line but apart from school uniform, the ironing pile hasn't been attacked for ages ..... guess what I'll be doing tonight :( The tuna pasta bake turned into sausage and mash  but we can have that on Friday instead. I may even venture into the ensuite tonight armed with my Starclens and rubber gloves. I always think about cleaning it in the morning when I have my shower, but then forget, so will make myself do it tonight!

Righty-ho. DS1 needs walking to Beavers so I'll love ya and leave ya. Have a good evening.

Well I finally got the ironing done, could have done with the extra rent though :rotfl:

Put the first white wash out on the line, half of it came back in to go in a bleach wash as its still stained

DD is in soooooo much trouble tonight. I went to pick her up and I was actually ashamed to some degree to admit she was my daughter:o. Her tie had been undone and then done up again into one of those "thick bit is really short" ones, her blouse was untucked all the way around and filthy, her skirt was filthy, her white knee-high socks were grey/brown and around her ankles, her shoes were scuffed to bits, her hair was all over the place and her face/hands/knees/legs were filthy

She went in looking like an advertisment for the perfect school girl and came out looking like she'd been mud wrestling with a gorilla for a week  This, by the way, is the same uniform I washed and ironed lastnight  I understand she's 5 and was having fun but even her teachers said "What happened to her? How does she manage it?"  I told her if she carries on the way she is going she'll be going to school in her underwear as she'll have no uniform to wear. I think she got the message. ;)

Guess I should go and get my tea, OH isn't hungry as the lunch I made him filled him up :j Now I have sausages so what shall I have?

Just had the surgery on the phone. The Dr had tried to get hold of OH but his phone was out of range and he wants to see him as a matter of urgency about his test results. Both very worried now, especially after reading a mag just the other week where a young chap with similar symptoms turned out to have cancer. He's trying to sort out with work to go in the morning. Have to hope its just a back injury and not anything worse.
