  • Morning all

(((hugs))) Roz, PP and moggins and anyone else in need who I've missed :0

Welcome to the newbies too :;hello:

I was going to cut the grass this morning before it rained, but the rain beat me to it! So it'll be on with those housewifely chores that never end. Managed to FLC "that cupboard" in the dining room. Funnily enough the recycling bag is full and the cupboard half empty now :) Also gave my hob and sink and good going over too. It's amazing how doing those 2 things can make the rest of your kitchen seem so much cleaner

DS2 at school from 11.30 so I'll have a couple for hours to get on before I have an appointment with an accountant. She's coming here so that makes it easier. I may even force myself to do business related chores, not housework for those free 2 hours

Have to make a quick and easy tea as the boys all have early commitments - tuna pasta bake I think.

Right, have to get on and do some chores beofe the school run.

Morning all...........(((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))) to those who need them especially Roz...............and Penny Pincher, hope you feel batter later.

    :j :j Happy Birthday Prinny:j :j Hope you have a great day.

Bad night last night, woke around 1.10am, still awake at 5.30, then dropped off into a heavy sleep, feel like c**p this morning.

Washer full to go out on the line, it looks a bit dull, hope its not going to rain, do not want to have to use the dryer........

OH off cutting grass again. I meant to say that I had managed to make cream cheese in my yogurt maker, not sure how I did it, but when I went to take the yogurt out of the maker on Sunday it had seperated, so I stirred it and put the yogurt maker back on, I got cream cheese.......puta bit of salt in it, its very nice on a certain low calorie cracker.............but need to make more yogurt, so will have another go tonight, not sure what happened, its the first time I have not had a good result.

No real plans for today apart from doing something with my sewing room and getting on with a couple of things in there..........it is a little tidier than yesterday.... I have to finish counting the piles of squares for the bag kits and find some bags to put them in......then I will make up the sample and take it from there. Will have to go and get another roll of wadding either this week or next..

Joannasmum......I am sorry there is no news about your car and the insurance company are being a pain........keep phoning and keep a log of who you speak to, they should send you a claim form through regardless ... and you will have a crime number from the Police.

Right I am off for my caffine hit.....................

    Hi everyone

Having a couple of days at home getting ready for another mad work onslaught next week. Luckily its raining so my "should do" list is getting tackled instead of sitting in the garden with my book.

Yesterday I decided to tackle the Landfil site that was my garage - 4 hours later and 3 trips to the tip I now have some space in there!! I even hoovered the floor and yes you did read that right:eek: Years ago when my ex was also in residence here we tiled the kitchen floor and being the good money saver that he was he decided to lay the carpet tiles we had taken up in the garage:rotfl: Must admit though its nice when I nip in for ice in the winter to have a warm floor:D So yesterday I overcame my embarrassment with the neighbours and hoovered the garage floor!! (next door promptly came round with some epsom salts and a large glass of red so things rapidly went back to normal:beer: )

Today I will be scoffing some gammon that I cooked in the SC yesterday come on admit it your impressed11_4_125v.gif I may even make some soup later - or just sit down with an nice bottle of essential white that Laithwaites has just delivered :rotfl: They call it essential not me but I have to agree.

Right lots to do w**k wise so best get on.

PP - Have a good rest hun
Moggins - come round to my house when you see my food you'll be rushing home desparate to eat your own;)

    Morning everyone,

    Happy Birthday Purple Princess_party_ .

Good luck Scottish Spendaholic, the nerves are worse when you really want the job aren't they, why not try to pretend you're not really bothered if you get it or not ;)

Moggins, wasn't it you who kept forgetting to drink as well, maybe it's all linked and you're body wants fluids before it wants feeding

Hugs to Roz v and Joanna's mum hope the day gets better for you.

dlb, I do sympathise, my dh has been gone for over 12 hours a day for over 20 years and now he often leaves at 6 am and doesn't get back till 8 pm. It's not so bad now the children are grown but it put a huge strain on me and our marriage when the children were small.

Just about keeping up with my flylady challenges even though I'm setting myself the smallest of tasks.:o It will be the ironing tonight.
  • Nelski, all I can say is I'm seriously impressed!!!! Vacuuming your garage!! Watch out, Stepford beckons!:rotfl: :rotfl:

From Crete and the two festivals, brought tears to my eyes :o he's taking me out for dinner tonight!! So lots of lovely time for me and to enjoy myself!! • Morning all,

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY PURPLEPRINCESS.

Hugs and good lucks to all that need them.

Throat feels a little better today, managed a couple of slices of toast and a cuppa. WM is on with another load to do. I am resting up today to let the antibiotics kick in then hopefully tackle the ironing pile tomorrow.

DD is at her dads for tea tonight so won't see her until 8pm. She has been so good getting herself up, washed, breakfast made and eaten, packed lunch made. She then comes in and checks I am ok and have taken my tablets. Bless her.

It is still very muggy here, very cloudy though so I am hoping it will rain later and clear the air. My temperature at the moment in 38 so the warm weather is not helping either.

Well better go and empty the WM. Have a good day all.

I need to empty the washing machine and peg out the laundry.

Spent the last couple of hours repricing my books on Amazon so got something done in peace and quiet.

House sale has fallen through and cannot think what to cook today so will just have a cup of tea while I wait for inspiration.

    Happy Birthday Princess

Hugs to people feeling ill and unmotivated.

Morning all :hello: Well I finally put my head on my pillow at 1am :o Thats very late for me considering it was a school night :naughty: Now I'm paying for it - since I've got up I've been in a really BAD mood, not helped by little things going wrong constantly. Woke up a 6.44 to the alarm on my phone going off and it was one of those horrible wake ups where you think "Where am I? What am I doing here? What's going on? Why did I set my alarm when it's the weekend? Hang on it's not the weekend...but what day is it? OH Hell I haven't done......" all in about 2 seconds :rotfl: I think an early night may be required tonight.

    RANT WARNING

So far this morning I've fallen back asleep, stubbed my toe on the bath, scaldered my hand on the hot water in the bathroom, got dressed and then realised I hadn't used my deodrant/bodysprays, DD has been playing up (literally playing and not wanting to tidy up), I nearly fell down the stairs from the very top (missed my footing), I came down to find some little bar**ards had thrown pizza & fruit over our wall covering the place with tomato sauce and breaking one of my plastic pots ( if I get my hands on who it is they'll be sorry  ), I put a quiltcover that I washed yesterday which hadn't quite dried and another basket of washing out on the line and as I was putting the last peg on it started raining, I had to iron DD's uniform this morning after washing it last night (milk & mud on all of it so the whole thing had to be washed ), DD made a mess in the bathroom while cleaning her teeth and was on a "go slow", I didn't get my breakfast before taking DD to school, I need to empty the kitchen bin but I can't as the wheelie bin is full (thankfully the binmen come about 7.30am tomorrow so I'll just have to keep squashing down the rubbish :o ), I have 2 baskets of washing I NEED to do but the forcast is showers on and off ALL day and it's too warm for the heaters to go on, my ironing pile is going to start paying me rent it announced last night and I just want to curl up and disappear for a couple of days. I have the feeling I may have PMT :o

    RANT OVER

    Anyways :rotfl:

    Scottishspendaholic - Good luck today

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PURPLEPRINCESS :bdaycake: Hope you have a great day.

Penny Pincher - Hope you feel better later.

Roz_V - :grouphug: Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope your OH is okay as well.

    Moggin - ((hug))

Beachbeth - I used to have similar symptoms when I was about 15/16. I was a nightmare and I missed loads of school as the stomach ache was so bad. My GP put me on the pill (first lot gave me morning sickness  so he switched them) and everything settled down :D I had a two year break when I was at uni (only there for a 1 year course) and then I got pregnant with DD (my own fault for not going back to get more from the family planning clinic which was only down the road from my uni!) but as soon as I could I was back on them. Now I have PMT almost every month  You know how most ladies crave chocolate...I crave cheese
 and occasionally I crave Blackforest Gateau  Can you tell I'm on my "break" :rotfl:

Joannasmum - Sorry to hear about your car. Hope you get things sorted out soon. My mum was contact once while my dad was away by the police. She thought he'd had an accident, but it turns out a car with my Dads' licenceplates (forged) had been involved in an "incident". Fortunatley my dad was in Felixstow (or somewhere similar) at the time so it was quite easy to prove the culprit wasn't him :rotfl: I'm always amazed at what people will do when it comes to commiting crimes

I really need to tackle the aformentioned ironing pile, DD will need a poloshirt for tomorrow (She has PE tomorrow and can't manage the top button on her blouse ;) alternative on the uniform list is a white poloshirt so I bought 2 of them as well ;) ) which thankfully is already ironed in her wardrobe but a blouse on Friday, OH will be needing shirts and I need tops so I might as well just do all of it as there isn't that much. I'll dig my CSI season 2 out again :p

I have a few dishes to wash (Caught up with it all last night...having shop bought Pizza for tea helped :o ) which I'll do after my dinner, a load of washing that HAS to be done today (will put that on in a minute), a load of towels I could do with washing today  and the floors need sweeping & mopping over. Should really clean the bathroom as well as I've not swipped it at all this week :o I think I'll just go write it all down in my Pukka pad

*slinks off to another forum to catch up while writing out To-do list*:rotfl:
