Gosh Joannasmum, how awful. The brass neck on some people is beyond incredible. I'm sure you've phoned the police already. I know the hassle involved, my last car got nicked in broad daylight (though not quite as cheekily as yours). The feeling of someone just walking into your house uninvited and unknown to you is creepy too. Please don't dwell on it, the scum bag is long gone and he won't come back.
So much for my big evening of picking blackberries...the rain has started and it's quite heavy. I know I could go out in it...but I'm not that daft, thank you. I could do a bit more flyladying...have some sofas urgently requiring attention from the vacuum cleaner. And put a bit more paperwork away, that'll keep me amused. Should start making some jelly too, using yesterday's blackberries, though I think I need some special sugar to make it set. Oh decisions decisions.
Bye for now.

Thanks everybody
Police have been and CSI man is here now. Unfortunately house keys were also on the bunch so it means we have to get the locks changed   . My dads gone out looking for it but I hope he doesnt find it to be honest as hes likely to end up with a GBH charge against him as he wants to kill them. :eek:Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Well I've had a really carp day today. Had big row with DH this morning on the phone which continued this evening when he got home. We've sorted it all out now, but I've felt so bad all day, I've not got hardly anything done. Have had a good cry and am feeling a bit better now.
I'm away overnight with w**k tomorrow so need to pack my bag tonight as I'll be out of the house again at 7:30 in the morning, so have done all theironing, just needs putting away.
We bought a van over the weekend so we can camp in it, I've really gone off sleeping in a tent lately since we had all the rain in Belgium. DH will also use it for his self employed job when that its up and running properly (the job not the van).
I've finally had my tracking number for my Robbie tickets, about bleeding time too, they've had my money for over 12 months but its less than a week to go and I still don't have the tickets in my hand. A very strongly worded letter will be written after we've been.
Joannasmum that's disgusting. I hope you have spoken to the police. Some people have no consideration for others.0 -
I went to the building society this afternoon to pay in the cash from yesterdays boot sale, the £20 note someone gave me was one that had been withdrawn!!!!!! it had no silver embossed on it. I had not realised.
I had to go to the bank across the road and fortunately they changed it......boy will I inspect any notes in future what ever the denomination..... I could not help wondering if it had been stolen??????
I also went to the charity shop and handed in load of stuff, so the garage is looking a little less crowded..... then I went and treated myself to GUESS WHAT??????? A PUKKA PROJECT PAD!!!!!!!! I keep looking at it and turning the pages over............ my OH laughed at me when I said it was just to look at not to write in.... well not yet anyway..............
Feeling tired tonight, did not get any sewing done this afternoon and my sewing room looks like a bamb has hit it. When I was cleaning this morning I did the windows decided the voile curtains needed washing so they are now waiting to have a cool iron rubbed over them before they get rehung. I must get in there tomorrow and at least tidy up, I have the squares for 6 bag kits laid out, each one has 40 4" squares in it, now have to cut the fabric for the bottom, top and handles, then cut the wadding and copy the instructions..... I also have the stuff out to do a demo bag........I had to look for a piece of fabric for my friend, she knew I had some and she needed a bit for a quilt she was making, so the box for that is on the ironing board with fabric falling out of it. I must also sort out some fat quarters to sell.......as well as do the cards, another ring pillow and some of the free standing lace angels.... oh I am exhausted just thinking about it, and we are thinking of doing another craft fair in April.....................

(((((((HUGS))))))) Joannasmum! How awful! There are some horrible people about aren't there? Our dd was mugged in London last month for her mobile phone, I hope you get the car back such a shame that we have to lock our doors and be on the defensive.
Love Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I found 2 of these (an A4 and an A5 version) reduced in Tescos on holiday and I just couldn't resist! Worryingly the reason they were reduced was that they were being discontinued. Still I will enjoy using them, I have the Acedemic planners one in candy striped pink the other is candy striped blue. I love the pockets - very handy! Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

OMG Catznine...AussieLass is going to go dark green with jealousy....
Welshlassie, glad you've got your disagreement with your OH sorted out. Sounds like it just drained you all day you poor thing. I hope you have a nice hotel for tomorrow evening and can have a few drinks and do a bit of pampering using their hot water. And I especially hope that your OH misses you while you're away and appreciates you all the more when you're back.
Tootles, that car boot sale sounds like it just wasn't meant to be... Glad you got that Bank of Toytown £20 changed to real money. You'd think that as it had been withdrawn it would not be in circulation...sounds forged to me too. Have fun sorting out your sewing room, seems to be all action in there at the minute. (BTW don't tell AussieLass, but I still don't know what to put in my Pukka Pad...)
Think it'lll soon be time for lights out in the SnowyOwl abode as I am feeling sleepy. Wonder what time I wake up...let's say 4.00 am shall we:rolleyes:??
Night night.
