Afternoon all
Another busy day today. Have taken DS to dentist for first time - they just counted his teeth and gave him a sticker so he thinks the dentist is great! :rotfl:
Then took DS to swimming lesson - he was great. Splashing and trying to swim and jumping in with great confidence.
Am a bit tired from lack of sleep (OH still away and I don't sleep well when he's away) plus the swimming / holding DS has knocked me out and I'm trying to FLY round the house with Moggins and the crew!
:grouphug: to SnowyOwl - I hope today you take some time to recall your happy memories of your cat.
Joannasmum hope ankle gets better soon.

Hi all
Had planned to post this morning as DS and DD stay with Dad this week. However, I got a call very early from DS asking if I could "just look up some images of Africa on the web, print them off and have them ready for him when he drops by later"!!! DD also turned up not having done her homework so there will be words tonight with XDH. The first thing I ask each day when they come from home is "do you have any homework? If so, get it done".
Been one of those days today. My home broadband wouldn't work then my boss and I had a good moan about how evreything was going wrong today.
Still, I got organised at the weekend so hm cottage pie is all ready for dinner and DS can have a treat of some tuna potato cakes I made specially for him.

Afternoon all - anyone missed me? Our internet connection's been playing up for days - it's not very happy still but I at least managed to get this far!
Back into the swing of school runs and work and really looking at cutting back as much as possible to allow me to stop working - although I have a really good relationship with the littlies that I have now, I really enjoyed having most of the summer hols off with DDs, I'd really like to give up and actually enjoy pottering about and having time for my hobbies - totally selfish I know but we can all dream. DH said that he'd like the house back, as it's been whilst on holiday, without all the littlies toys and stuff around.
OS has been going well - I'm making rubber chicken pie tonight and there's enough for a quiche for tomorrow, that was a medium chicken in the SC yesterday, did us all dinner last night and DH and I sandwiches for lunch today too. Popped to lidl yesterday for half price fruit and veg, got loads for the money.
Not having any internet has meant that I've got on really well with my crochet and have completed about 40 squares for a throw for DD1, using up all the oddments that my mum sent down, it's not cost me a penny so far.
Hope you're all ok - will hopefully catch up soon when the connection will allow."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Afternoon everyone
Thanks for all the kind words, I've been taking it as easy as you can with a LO. Managed to do tea from scratch with the help of the breakfast bar stool.
I've got abit of a quandry at the moment. I've managed to free up approx £100 out of next months budget I had intended it to for a Panasonic breadmaker as my old Morphy Richards died a couple of weeks ago. The rest I was going to put away for DD birthday party in December.
This morning MIL told me that they are struggling to pay the insurance on the 2nd car. Its £200 she looks after DD for me 2.5 days a week and wont take any money for it. They've only really got the 2nd car which was given to them by my BIL because it makes it easier for her to pickup and drop off grandchildren (not just DD).
We bought a new mobile for her in May but havent given her anything since apart from the odd bunch of flowers. I really feel I should give her the £100 but I really want my BM as well. What should I do?
Sorry long and waffley post.Sorting my life out one day at a time0 -
It would be really nice of you to give your MIL the £100 towards her car insurance..... after all she does look after your little one for you.....see if you can pick up a panasonic cheaper from somewhere..........then perhaps you could squeeze out the money to do both?????
