Morning
Just had a quick flickette through the threads from the last couple of days - I notice that TM & Nels spotted me on telly, but then they know best what I look like- I did get the impression that you'd have had to be looking pretty hard to see me, cos I don't really think there was a lot of camera coverage where I was standing. (Suits me!) I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought the conductor rambled on too much.
I have come to the conclusion that the Last Night of the Proms is definitely better if you get drunk first... I got roped into helping to hand out/pin on the carnation buttonholes for the chorus and orchestra, which meant not only did I have to stay relatively compus mentis but also missed out on the final hour and a half of drinking time prior to the concert - I made up for it afterwards
but really a little lubrication would have been more fun (as the actress said to the bishop
)
Plus - although I budget a reasonably hefty chunk of cash to cover the related expenses of the final weekend of the Proms (drinks, eating out with friends, and so on) I underspent
I will be using the underspend to feast on healthy organic food and no alcohol for the next couple of weeks, as I am in need of a detox
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO PP!!!!
I have a huge amount of work to do this week, and hope to hear from my solicitor in the next few days about an exchange date.

OH off grass cutting, I am about to get the micro cloth and dust the bedroom, hoover the carpet etc.......now the two cases have gone out of the bedroom I can move around without bumping into things.....
Sewing planned for this week... OH is bowling this afternoon, so want to settle down to some serious stuff.........he has two more days Thursday and Saturday set up so two more afternoons to 'myself' nothing really planned for the rest of the week except fruit and veg shopping either tomorrow or Wednesday.
Need to take some late cutting from the geraniums in the back gadren, have some lovely bright red ones in a container, they are so bright.... also the hangers on the wall have pale pink and white ones in which are very pretty, might also take some fushcia cutting to root in water.......
Right off for my caffine fix and start the bedroom cleaning.............

Hello again,

Thanks everyone for the good luck wishes tho, hopefully i can carry them over for later in the week!!!!
Lovely friend who has been on holiday recently, is coming over tonight for a glass of wine and a chat, so looking forward to that. Unfortunatly she is going to be moving to the states next year (she will tell me more about it tonight) so im not looking forward to that, but its whats best for her and her family, so have to be happy for her. Will be nice tonight to catch up tho.
Right, off to make cakes with the little ones, we are going to make pink, green and blue ones today!!!!!!
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning All,
Lovely and quiet in the office today, boss is out so will take today to catch up, last week was manic!!
Will be joining Flylady, in laws left Saturday so took the time to blitz the house but Flylady should keep it looking that way.Am feeling very dissatisfied at the mo, however much I clean and tidy the house doesn't feel nice, it all needs a good lick of paint but in between work, kids and all the rest I don't know where we are supposed to find the time?
DH playing golf today, apparently it could reach 31, yesterday was gorgeous, couldn't believe I was sunbathing in my garden on Sept 10th!!!!
WM is on timer so should be done when I get home tonight, DW not emptied (DH can do that), beds made and next wash sorted.
Breakfast: Muesli
Lunch: HM pasta bake
Dinner: Chicken salad, cheese & biscuits.
Have a lovely day all, hugs to SnowyOwl and Happy Birthday to Churchmouse's DS!!

Morning Guys!
Had a bad night and early hospital this morning, so didnt have energy to post earlier...sorry!
Had a lovely day yesterday and was bought some nice pressies:D Friends came round but had a big argument beforehand, so was abit of tension, but after a few glasses of wine...they seemed ok:rotfl: Dinner was lovely and the beef turned out well. Thanks for all the well wishes!
We have the plasterer coming in tomorrow to skim the kitchen, so OH is bashing about, removing tiles, removing cupboards etc ATM in preparation for it:rolleyes: I hate having a messy house, but it should all be done in 3 days as we are painting it and putting new worktops etc. I am using my birthday money to buy worktops, splashback and new flooring:eek:   ....I must be mad, but cant really afford it otherwise:o We bought the sink and funky tap a few months back off Ebay at silly cheap prices.
WM is on, DW has been emptied and toilet cleaned.
DD had a busy weekend completing HW and reading, but seems to be doing OK. She asked if I could go with her to be dropped off, so we left at 7.40 then went straight to the hospital-armed with flask and sarnie:D Think she was putting on a brave face this morning and held my hand in the car....I had a lump in my throat and was nattering about stupid things to keep her brain busy. Watched her go in and she walked in with a friend so felt relieved. It must be so difficult for her as nobody from her old school has gone there. There is a good grammar school on our doorstep, but she didnt like the vibe and wanted to go to this one...her choice though. Just abit daunting I think. Im sure she will be ok and will just take time.
Anyway, Im rambling..so will leave you alone now;) Have a good day guys.
Breakie: Coffee and cheese sarnie

Morning all,
Made my mulberry jam today. It's the opposite of the strawberry one and it's set tooooooooooooo well.Third time lucky, I'm very confident the next lot will be perfecto. Been raining here most of the day which has been a bit of a drag. After cleaning the house from top to bottom, (sounds good anway)
DH & I watched the DIY kitchen dvd and decided to tackle one of the cupboards. After nearly a divorce
it all came together. One down, about 15 to go.
Bargani Rzl Well done on your underspend. :T
Snowy It is sad when your little darlings die. I dread to think how I will feel when my two little babies (dogs) die. The poster link didn't work for me.
TM The launch sounds like it's getting closer. Hope you get through it ok.
PP I'm sure DD will cope really well. Hopefully the next 3 days will go fast and then you can post some more piccies for us.
Well I'm off, hope you all have a happy Monday. Byeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning all :hello: :grouphug: to everybody
Not been around as I've been busy. Spent last Tuesday and Wednesday claening house, Thursday I went to my late-nannas to meet my mum there then we went blackberrying :droll: (got caught alot in the brambles, and a nettle got me on the wrist, plus there wasn't that many to pick but otherwise not too bad for my first attempt :rotfl: ) and Friday I decided to take the WHOLE DAY off. I did minimums and then spent the day infront of the computer reading ghost stories and frightening the s**t out of myself :rotfl:
We had a quiet weekend. DD got a new-to-her bed (Thanks mum), so she slept in that last night and looked TINY as her old bed was a junior sized one. OH spent about an hour in the yard dismantling the old one (it was full of mold & mildew so we discovered after stripping the material off it
- No wonder DD was always coughing). Today I plan to sort out her bedroom, putting the toy boxes under the bed, finding a new home for her rocking horse and generally getting it all nice for her
I also have a stack of washing, ironing & dishes to do, PLUS I need to do some baking, I think I'll make a quiche again tonight to use up the leftover peppers from last nights mexican night
I set a timer for my computer time and it's about to go off so I better shift myself.
Will be back later while I have lunch. Bye for now :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
