You know all that flying I was going to do..... Does chilling in front of the tv count
I've been so stressed over this pesky fence I've been snapping at the boys. There's no way I'll get the house tidy this morning, so I'm just chillin' and I'll crack on this evening. It's lovely having a little peace and quiet - the boys have been extra noisy this weekend, with lots of arguing as well. Crazy thing is they do actually like each other!
Thanks for the input re the composter PenPen, I'll give them a call this eve.
I love Dinbych Y pysgod too - I used to go on my 'gwyliau' (holiday) there as a child (lol, we'll soon get you up to fluent Welsh- you taking notes too Shez?)
I've no intention doing ANYTHING with that bloomin fence for a few days - and I can't make welsh cakes as there are no visible worktops in my kitchen again! I think the boys need to learn that if they keep making a mess Mother doesn't have time to bake
Ooo - I'm all tired again now, best get back to taking Churchmouses advice and take it easy before college

Morning everyone,
PP I'm sure your DD will be fine, she seems to have her head screwed on - it's not many girls who would forgo the company of friends to go a different school which will be better for them in the long run.
Broke a tooth on my morning toast and couldn't get an emergency appt with the dentist till tomorrow lunchtime. It's not horribly painful but nasty when I touch it by mistake or try to eat on it.0 -
Morning all! It's a beautiful day here, hot and sunny already. Have put two loads of washing on the line and have been for a four mile walk with a friend along the canal towpath near here, lots of duckies and swans to see. There are loads of blackberries and elderberries along the path so next time will take a bag.
Off out with DS in a minute to collect some bits and pieces he needs to take back with him to uni at the weekend. My heart's breaking at the thought of being without him until Christmas againbut I'm looking forward to reclaiming my house without all the flotsam and jetsam of student life.
Right, must dash, have hard-boiled some eggs this morning and need to make up some rolls for lunch otherwise I'll be too tempted at the supermarket by those sneaky choccy bars that scream at me.
Have a great day everyone

Frugalfairy, I know just what you mean. DS will be gone in a couple of weeks and I know I'll miss him terribly, just as I do DD who moved out 2 years ago now.
BTW as the subject of dreams has been around, I had a very strange dream last night that I was breastfeeding a baby- a gorgeous dark haired little girl when both mine were very fair. I do hope it's not a premonition, until a few years ago I'd have been thrilled but I think I'm a bit long in the tooth now for another baby.0 -
Forgot to say that the electrician came yesterday (sunday) morning to finish the shower and had me first shower in the afternoon and was brilliant! The seat is a little hard, so will look for a cushion, but everything else is great! OT will be coming in this week to sign off on the job, so hopefully all will be ok.
Im sure DD will be fine, but just worrying. Its probably more my fears than hers. I dont know if theres anything I could do to help her-but think she needs to find her own feet. Just finding it difficult in letting her go I think. Sounds silly I know but with her being an only child and we've never done this before...I just worry:o
Glad I helped in deciding what your having for dinner:rotfl:
Hugs to all.

Seraphina - enjoy Robbie concert but please note that he proposed to me on Saturday night so you are out of luck
I wish :smileyhea
Hello everyone
Busy weekend here! Spent all of friday with my best friend who has just got back from 3 months in America. Had a great day and its so good to have her back!! Have plans to see her at least 4 more times this week as 3 months is a lot of gossip to catch up on!! :rotfl:
Saturday was Robbie - he was amazing!! Had such a good time and didn't want it to ever end. Basement Jaxx and Orson were good too. I had a bit of a cry at "Feel" and at "Angels" - both songs were played at my best friends funeral two years ago and I'm usually OK hearing them on the radio now, but hearing him sing them live just realy made me lose it! I know that had my friend still been around it would have been him that I was at the concert withI'm all teary now just thinking about it!!
I can, however, officially say that I have been underneath Robbie Williams :j As we were leaving we saw him running to his helicopter and then he flew off over my head!! :j
Yesterday I had to work and then in the evening we went to my mum's house to say goodbye to my sister - she's moving to London today and I'm really going to miss her! It's fairly cheap to get to London on the train if you book in advance, but its time-consuming and I rarely have 2 days off in a row, and when I do I don't know about it until I've missed out on the cheap fares!!
Spending today relaxing - I feel emotionally exhausted! I have got some ironing to do though, and the flat needs a quick tidy-up but shouldn't take too long.
Can't believe it's 5 years today since the twin towers attack - how quickly has that gone!
Best go now! Have a good day everyone - :grouphug: for anybody who wants one!

Been meaning to say, has anyone seen anything of Hester. Her last posts seemed so despondent and I've been hoping that she's feeling a bit better.
Let us know how you are Hester if you are around.

penny-pincher, i am sure dd will be fine, we felt like that when ds2 went to uni and his room was so dark and looked into a wall, you just want to make everything okay for them but thats not always the best thing, but it is hard not to0
