    Morning All

Back at work. It seems never ending!!!

Got some more Christmas presents at the weekend, and had a go at jiving, which was a lot of fun. Thinking of taking it up as a hobby

Hoping to leave early today as I've done so many extra hours over the last week. I need a rest!!

Hugs to all who need them

    Morning all,

I am having a few minutes to myself. The monsters are busy killing each other and I have had enough already. 2yo has just smacked 3yo over the head with a large thomas the tank engine, mostly because 3yo had just rugby tackled him for touching one of his toys. This has been going on since 6.30am, they have spent more time in the naughty boys seat than they have playing today.

Task for today is to clean out my husbands car before we swap them back tonight.

Snowy Henry was a very handsome cat. Lots of sympathy here.

    Morning all,

Yesterday we went looking at cars again but not found "the" one. So, the hunt continues.

Also, we formulated more of a plan for the kitchen, so this week I will be researching flooring .. I want a stone one, but no idea where from?

One load of washing out on the line, no more to do today. V.little ironing also :j .

I was going to join in with FLC III, but DH took all the floors up yesterday and I am currently having to clamber over pipes and floorboards .. so I think it's going to have to wait a little.

This week is hopefully going to be a busy one socially, so won't have much time to do it either (it's my birthday on Thursday).

Right, time to get DD dressed, DH awake and all of us a wriggle on.

W**k today, so must see if I have enough floorboards down in my office to put a chair next to the desk  .

Have a good day all :)

Ps Edit to say (((HUGS))) to Joanas mum too, sorry I haven't read what happened to your foot/ankle. I'll have a read through later if I get chance, but I hope it gets better quickly for you x

    Thanks Kaz

Fell down the step going into the garage while carrying a tray of wet paper brick, it was like an OS comedy sketch except it was bloody painful. Went to A&E and they said it was badly sprained, now have a technicolour bruise covering most of my foot and ankle.

Nothing much for me again today but I did finally manage to clear out the spare room on the weekend :j so how I just have to hope the sofabed turns up this evening

But better news than that is my robbie tickets turned up on Saturday. I was so happy I nearly kissed the postman :p

Apart from that still organising holiday stuff and I'm at the stage where I can't wait to go

    Anyway, back to w**k.

Take or leave the :grouphug: as needed

    Morning all!

Haven't posted for a few days so time to catch up - spend most of the weekend at a friend's house but am now back home. Lots of washing to do and a little bit of tidying up in between the "proper" w**k!

The in-laws gave us a carrier bag full of apples from their tree so I've made stewed apples which I've been having with my breakfast and I'm going to attempt a tarte tatin at some point during the week.

Hoping to get to Lidl at some point as I've run out of coffee and I refuse to pay twice the price at Tesco/Somerfield. I'll have to have a quick check of the cupboard to see what else we need - it's about 8/9 miles away so need to make sure it's worth the petrol.

    Have a good day everyone!
  • Good Morning All:D

    Happy Belated Birthday PP

Well feeling motivated at the mo - hope it lasts. Have slight backache (think I slept funny) but will try and ignore that.

Just about to make Lamb Stew which will be for my lunches this week then will put chilli on half for tonight and half for the freezer (didnt have it last week after all). Then will attack the laundry as it looks like it will be a lovely day here in a while - misty at the mo - and forecast for the next two days is rain.

This should keep me occupied till the children come home but I must also find time to pop into a local town to the post office and need some fruit.

Dont know about the rest of you but DD going to high school is hard work, as Queenie said I am covering books and trying to help her organize her homework and her bag each day so no mad rush in the morning, guess it will take a couple of weeks to get into routine. Also everyday she is bringing home a request for payment for something or another!

Anyway best get on have a great day & for those on it - enjoy the FLC - I will def be there next time!

Talk about a rude awakening. I had to shout for DH at 7.50! Work rang him up to ask if he could work the 11.30 till 9.30 shift. I feel so sorry for him, he's already doing 2 extra shifts this week which meant I had to cancel my hair appointment. (Actually I shouldn't feel sorry for him, if he hadn't got frisky last night then both of us would have got to sleep before 2am! )

Bless him he has still taken DD to school for me so I can get on though, so I'd better move my bum out of this chair before he gets back and catches me. WM is on, slow cooker is on with sweet and sour chicken for tea. Just a half load to hang out and then I can crack on.
