  • Hugs to vicky. Sorry your new head is a pain. It will all be worth it though when you can put on your CV that you worked at a school that escaped special measures. That is what i keep telling myself anyway.

Had a great time at my parents. They had me in stitches with their holiday stories.

The best bit was while i was out DH put up the 2 curtain poles, set up his hi-fi and brought in boxes of CDs and DVDs from the garage, which are now put away.

He then brought down all the books and old bookcase from the hall way, and i organised them and brought my ornaments down.

I just have to wait now till my curtains arrive at Dunelm Mill, and then i will be well and truly sorted, and will take some piccies for you all to see.

I think it is bed time for me now, as it will be back to working hard tomorrow. I really can't wait for the fly lady challenge to start up again. I also treat myself to an ostrich feather duster from dunelm, and it is really fab, and should make getting rid of the dust a quick job.

    See you all tomorrow.

    Michelle, xx

hi kyle and anyone that follows should probably be in bed myself but my ds is starting school tomorrow and i cant sleep he's only 3 and i still think he's my baby at least i'll have a few hours to myself so i can start my xmas shopping
  • Morning Kyle...hope you get a good kip so that you can get up in the morning. You and little one get up early, don't you...though I get the distinct impression that that is your baby's idea:confused:.

I have a feeling it is someone from Old Style's birthday today...but I can't remember who's it is. Oh dear I do apologise... But in the meantime, Churchmouse, happy birthday to your DS.

Today is the 1st anniversary of the death of my gorgeous special boy Henry (kitty cat) - I still miss him, he was a very, very special boy. I've got some fantastic pictures of him...that's him in my avatar... and quite by coincidence have just emailed a couple of them off to be made into posters (www.posterXXL.co.uk). I can't wait to get them back.

The rest of the day will be spent trying to resist eating my blackberry & apple jam straight from the jar. I know I know I have been yapping on about this jam for ages now..."how good could can it be?" I hear you wonder... but honestly, it has so much flavour, it is scrumptious! I have five pots of it, will have to give some away pdq otherwise they will be calling me. As mentioned in yesterday's thread I'll be making some jelly with my remaining blackberries, but have to buy jam jars. (Why oh why did I recycle about 20 six months ago???) I can't believe so few take advantage of the hedgerows laden with such fantastic free food! Think I'll go and see if I can track down an apple or plum tree too.

Bye all, have a good Monday.

Vickya - (((((hugs))))) I know how hard it is when work isn't right

Need to get moving as I did nothing OS today and my plan for today doesn't look much better. Only 4 more shifts at work before my holiday.
Need to get the WM on before I leave and make a pakc up.

Morning all, where is everyone this morning? wakey wakey, rise and shine :)

I've just got to go and wake DS and DD up and make the sandwiches as we had some trouble here last night and we didn't get to do anything bar the ironing!

Then hopefully DD will sit and eat her breakfast without prompting so I can get some general housework done before I start on the Flylady challenge. DH is getting up at 8 so he can take DD to school for me.

    good morning everyone.

I've woken with the right head on this morning. Ready to get going on just about everything. Last week was a disaster.

Spent the whole weekend stotting about cleaning and picking up - and yet the house is still a disaster area. How did that happen?

Just updated all my spreadsheets - didn't really bother last week since I was away - oh dear. Things have gone to pot

Hence the desire to get it all right this week.
