NO, I have done a rubber rat in the WM when I emptied it  And don't get me started on golf tees in the WM or even worse golf balls
Anyway have just used skype for the first time to speak to dh - 12 mins for about 15p - and I didn't have to keep saying to the boys "get off - do you know how much this is" - I don't mind but it's when they start going "don't know, not sure..." at 10p a minute“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Well the quiche has been eaten - and, can you believe it, OH had the nerve to complain that it "had too much chicken in it".
He complained about the pastry last time, so I changed it to make it crispier and tastier and I think he was just looking to pick holes in it for whatever his own reasons might be.
I've resolved to just make food how I like it, in future. He can either eat it, go hungry or make his own.
Amazingly, the Hedgerow Crumble was declared fabulous and the custard wasn't too thick, or too thin, or too anything else - so that was something.
I thoroughly enjoyed the lot of it, so two fingers to him.
Thriftmonster: don't you just love the boys?? I recently found mine (nearly 8yo) in the garden spreadeagled across a pit he'd dug and filled with water. The colour of his back, when he turned over, was truly awesome. Thankfully, he'd decided to indulge in this activity while semi-naked, so the cleanup was relatively straightforward. :rotfl: So, you found a rubber rat in your WM, eh?? ~makes notes~
Ooooooh, Ticklemouse! Bathrobe and FM boots ... classy!
Metherer: I think you're right - leave him to it, its the best way! If it all goes to worms, you can always get up early tomorrow and, while he's not looking, do it right.
Tootles: sorry to hear about the Boot Sale - that's infuriating in the extreme! I'm all for a bit of a haggle, but to get huffy when you won't come down to their original offer, is a bit much!
Its a good job I'm a mild-mannered sort, as I've just had to go and sound suitably threatening as two over-excited dogs were trying to get through our fence to get at my two boys! Their owner showed up eventually, but not before they'd broken down two of the slats in the fence! He says he'll be back to effect some repairs, but I won't be holding my breath over it.
With an eye to my blood pressure, I think I'm going to shut myself in a darkened room and concentrate on my knitting, soon.
Have a lovely evening, one and all. Catch up with you tomorrow.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Finally back from the footie tournement, and DSs team WON!!!!! Didnt lose a match, or let in a goal, and DS scored 2 goals, including the first one in the final, which their coach said was the best goal of the day!!!! The weather has been lovely all day, although its turning cold now, and had a good chat with the other mums, so a good day all round, just a shame it had to start so early!!!!!

OS-wise, Im bracing myself for another week of the fly lady challenge. I can take no more boogieing, but this I must do! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
