come on you, help me choose :P
by the way is Panasonic TH42PX80B the same tv as Panasonic TH-42PX80??
if so then that one and Samsung PS42Q97HDX is listed under that top 10 review thingy
also would the samsung PS42A456P be better as it is 20.000 :1 (whatever that is lol) and the resolution is 1366 x 768.
also what am i missing out on not having a 1080 tv???0 -
I would say its the same model...
just adding a dash usually doesnt change anything.
Is that your fave so far?..“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
dont mean the dash i mean as it has a "B" on the end
i have to admit i am lost hahait was hard to tell picture quality in shop as all tvs was set up to one so pic was a bit rubbish on each lol
with so much info i dont know how to tell what things to look for foremost over other stuff, all i know i see one and think that seems ok then the next has something and then i think well is that more important than the other and so on so i am left stood there in shop lol0 -
sorry never noticed the B at the end..
found this about the other one..
Although newly equipped with native 24fps playback without telecine judder and marginally better blacks, the Panasonic TH42PX80Buy this for £649.00 at Dixons
Use code 'AW20' to get £20 off represents an evolutionary rather than revolutionary improvement over the outgoing PX70 series. It still trails behind the reference-level Pioneer Kuros in terms of black level, colour and video processing, but the gap is closing, which is all the more amazing when you consider that the Panasonic TH42PX80Buy this for £649.00 at Dixons
Use code 'AW20' to get £20 off is – at this time of writing – around £500 cheaper than a similarly-specced Pioneer PDP-4280XD...“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -

yeah it is hard to choose... They ALL have good and bad points..
The one without the B is not tru high def (not 1080) Iam just looking now to see if the B is a better model.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
As far as I can tell there both the same..??
Both 720 and not 1080...
But my Samsung TV is 720 too and blueray films are Stunningly good on it.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
yes you get comparing
haha
so i dont necessarily need the 1080? it goes over my head lol not sure all the differences with the 1080 to ordinary, just cant decide which one is best for me0 -
To be honest if your not a complete TV nerd like me you probrably wont need 1080..
The number means how many lines the tv shows horizontaly..
Your old TV used to show 570 ish
720 gives you greater detail and 1080 gets better again (but unless you had 2 tv side by side you wouldnt know)
Take a read of this article so you can baffle the "tech" guys in comet next time.

If you can afford it then I think this TV is unbeatable at the moment

But MY Samsung PS50Q97hdx, is great looking and looks awesom showing movies... and its cheaper too.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
is there much difference in the resolution, as most tvs i have looked at are 1024x768 but one was 1366x768? the brightness also varied between 15.000:1 to 20.000:1 and then i was baffled lol0
-
LOL yeah its ALL important..
Usually the bigger the numbers the better..(but not allways)
Contrast ratios are V important so you get bright whites and dark blacks..
But to be honest just trust the internet techies to say if its good or bad..“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0
