Richer sound are good and always have good deals on..
Gimmie 5 min to read up on that model and I will get back here..“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
nightmare though as you have to pick them up and i know i wont get a 50" in my car0
-
That model not so good for movies.... (no deinterlacing)
Dont let me push you into a 50" though.
If you really only sit at 2 meters then standard definition (eastenders) may look a little fuzzy or out of focus that close, but high def stuff, dvds will look ok. it depends what you will be watching most.“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
dvds watch more, but watch some tv programmes too :S nightmare lol0

just to add to your worries.... do you have a DVD player already and does it "upscale" to high definition?
If it doesnt then you wont see the benifits of your new tv as it will all be played as standard definition. (unless the TV has a built in upscaler)
So you may need to budget for a better DVDplayer too..
Just to explain.. DVD is NOT high definition. So when you play a DVD there are not enough lines of information to fill up your TV screen.
The player or the TV has to electronicaly fill in the blank spaces in between what comes off the disc. Some TVs do this terribly some do it really well.
The new bluray players and discs ARE high def and send out the right amount of lines to fill the tv screen.
I am not helping here am I....? sorry it IS a minefield, but once you get your 1st high def movie playing it will all seem worth it..“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0 -
ah i got a dvd player, surround sound one, but dont mind buying a new one anyhow
can always buy one a couple of weeks later if there isnt a cheap package deal, a excuse to shop even more
can i get a surround sound for the dvd player i will need :S0 -
you need to look on your dvd player to see if it says "upscaling" or 1080 or something similar.
To be honest most new tvs have a built in upscaler so I would stick with the dvd player you have for now. then when you finally settle on a TV you can buy a Bluray player (playstation3 is a good one) then you will be watching tru high definition movies.“Careful. surround sound is very important to me, i lurve it
when i was looking in comet or something at the tvs one i liked seemed to have a crisp picture, but it was a samsung one0
