also was wondering if the 42" is ok for my room, as my room is 5mtr x 4mtr as i know they say you should have max size tvs for different size rooms

    Chart here http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/televisions/0,39030216,2,00.htm
for viewing distances...I think you could go for a 50" (more like the movies)
Dont be scared of the big size TVs you soon get used to them and wish you had gone bigger..:D

Are you sure you want the tv in a corner?
Maybe wall mounting would work better and give you more floor space back.

Whatever you decide you need to look out and check whether the stand is included in the price of the TV or not...
The Stands can be stupidly expensive to buy seperately..

LOL...ok best you stand it on the floor then..

But seriously dont just buy the one that looks nice in the shop.. write down the model number and google it. there are a lot of crappy tvs out there for big money...

Just as an aside did you know that on a 50" screen the newsreaders actually come out lifesized..lol its like they are talking to you thru a hole in the wall..
