Morning, just a quick hello then i'm off shopping.

Yesterday went as well as it could, they covered my shift in the end as i was in no fit state to work. Our lovely stores in Glasgow and Teeside pulled together and worked our shifts for us.
The funeral was beautiful, it was standing room only at the back, shows how many peoples lives he touched. Went for some drinks at the wake, then sat in Princes St gardens enjoying the sun. 5 or 6 bars in the city centre had big pictures of him up with signs saying all tips from the evening were being donated to the Antony Nolan trust in rememberance which was a lovely gesture.

Hope everyone is ok, havent really had a chance to read the thread properly.

    Morning everyone. ;)

We are a bit less tired here today. We spent a good bit of yesterday dozing when we got the chance, so unfortunately missed most of the good weather. DH was just saying he wished he had cut the grass now, but to be honest, rest is probably more important and we will get there with everything else. At least we got the bedding washed and dried outside. Will have to get out in the garden at some point though, as the weeds are huge from the sun/rain cycle.

We've not really got any plans for today either. We might pop to my mums later on, and i want to try the gammon in cola recipe from here. Anyone any advice how long it takes in a SC? I found a recipe for it bit no SC instructions. I am guessing a few hours on high setting would probably do it. I might also make my butternut squash and red lentil soup as DS loves it and he is being a bit hard to cook for at the moment.

I also think i need to spend a bit of time clothes sorting today - the kiddies clothes are mostly on the ironing pile, and i seem to have run out of trousers that fit so i had best stick a [STRIKE]load of them in the machine too[/STRIKE]. I know i won't get time through the week so best do it today.

    I also best [STRIKE]wash my hair.[/STRIKE]

lil-me and kaz hope you eventually managed some sleep

anw's mum and moam welcome back - hope you had a fab time.

soappie have you got a dunelm mill near you? I got my long curtains for my french windows from there, and best of all, the design came in 3 different lengths so they match my other curtains. They were actually a bit long for the doors, and needed to be taken up a bit, and they certainly weren't that expensive - about £30.

Baby is due a feed, so i guess i am dependent on him waking up for me to get stuff done.

Right, best do something i suppose.

    Michelle, x

Rehoover living room and sofas and put all cushions back
    Sort washing in dining room
    Clean/tidy dining room
    Clean/tidy kitchen
    Cook dinner
Oh and seeing daisydolls - take rubbish to tip

plus [strike]finish[/strike] do some more of list

Best get started in a min then

Michelle, thanks for the tip about Dunelm Mill. I googled them and there's an outlet about 5 miles away from me.

Trouble is, I typed in the measurements for roman blinds into their website and they told me to go away - maximum drop is about 13 inches less than the drop I need (2.52 metres which is about 99 inches). Their curtains only go to 90 inches drop so I'm a bit stuck which is a shame as their prices are excellent! Seems they will let me have vertical blinds that long but that's not what I want.

I shall just have to have some hand made to fit ~sigh~

    Morning all

Well good end to the day yesterday. Jodie won the I'd Do Anything - so the kids were very happy when they watched the recording this morning. Phew, major upset averted. Also Lawn Mower finished at £85.01 - Chap is coming to collect today (although will no count my chickens till the money is in DH hand). Everything else I have on ebay has bids too apart from 1 thing and that has 4 watchers with 7 days to go. That will go in my holiday fund for October - yipee!!

No flying as such as at work so just maintenance. Will make rolls when I get in for packups tomorrow. Also need to book DD2 into lunch club on Tuesday as my driving lesson has changed from Mon to Tues, she is already booked in for tomorrow so I get an extra hour to catch up on stuff.

Best go do this viewing. If I am not back in 40 mins send in the cavalry. Its ok I will ring hubbie to check in and if he does not hear back from me in 10 mins he rings me.

    Later may loves

And where is EMBB???? Hello are you out there???

Am back. The chaps turned out to be a lovely couple who love the house. Not surprising - it is an 1830's property with loads of the original features, with huge outbuildings and garden. if I have £200,000 plus the money need to renovate I would have it.

Mower has been collected and paid for, oh yeah and I have lost 1/2 stone!! 3 weeks to loss the other half now and then just another 2 1/2 to go.

    Morning G&B

Hope you are feeling better today. I'm glad it went well. It's lovely to hear that your colleagues travelled from Galsgow and Teeside to help out. It's also a lovely gesture that the bars made xx
