Welcome back A&W - glad your caravan didn't get blown away on the trip there and glad you had a good time.
And well done HollyH on getting through what you did today.
I am now officially v. tired. I painted the radiator this afternoon then thought what the heck and glossed the remaining two sets of architraves around the other dooors into the living room as well as the door from the hallway.
I now need to persuade best friend up the road that she and her husband really do want to paint the living room ceiling for me (I don't do ceilings - or at least very infrequently because I have problems doing ladders and even long brushes on poles) in exchange for a nice dinner.
I also, whilst watching Wexford, made some plarn (yarn from old plastic carrier bags for those who don't know) and have started to crochet my own carrier bag out of carrier bags.... It's taking time though - crochetting with wool is MUCH quicker.
But, I'm off to bed. now so will wish all you flypeople a very good night's sleep - may all your dreams be happy ones.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Oh it's late, I can't settle, my head is spinning with everything we've got on at the minute and I just can't seem to switch off. I've sorted DPs stuff for the morning then remembered I haven't done his sandwiches, in fact no, I haven't even got the rolls out of the freezer, so will get those out in a mo. I remembered not long ago that the dogs haddn't had their teas either, they'd had bits left earlier (on dry food) so I remember thinking I'll leave it, oops. Oh well, will go and do what needs doing then try again to go to sleep. One day I might be more organised...........

So I'm not the only one stlll snuffling round :rotfl: , you poor thing you always have so much on your plate to think about. Let OH make his own butties and I'm sure the dogs will be fine.
I was just on a roll with the flying and thought I'd carry on but got bored when I just burnt the cake. Think more pancake than cake. So I came in here to strip the throws and cushion covers off the sofas and got waylaid, that was about 1/2 hour ago. Guess I should go put the washing on.
Done that now so off to my pit now. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon too lilmeMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Hello Kaz, I'm still here, dogs and kids are asleep (Ds1 finally settled about midnight), Sonic's snuffling around and he smells so he'll be getting cleaned out tomorrow. Oops only 2 rolls left so looks like he's buying lunch tomorrow. I don't actually feel tired which is the bad bit, I ache, but not tired at all. Dogs have made me unsettled as they barked for nearly an hour earlier (well not constantly) at the front window and I couldn't see anyone/thing, Megan's usually vocal and will bark when she hears dogs or people passing if they're very close but Luke's not usually vocal. Getting hungry now, think I've only had 'dinner' all day so that'll be why, think I might go to bed so I stop thinking about food :rotfl:
Just found a millipede thing in my hair, yak, must have caught it while I was in the garden, can't stop scratching nowOne day I might be more organised...........

Morning All
Did quite well yesterday morning but then nipped into town, came back and we had visitors who then stayed for tea and went home at 8.30.
I'm off to Chelford market this morning and my parents are returning from Cuba so we'll probably go and see them this afternoon so I'm not sure how much I'll get done.
Hope everyone has a good day

actually managed to sleep in until 8.30 this morning which is unusual for me. Weather is quite pleasant at the moment but we do have a warning out for heavy rain. Things I need to think about doing today are:- Bath
- Breakfast
- Shopping
- Ebay
- Paperwork
- Roast dinner
- Sort out front room
- De-poop back garden before it rains
- Plant up cactus cuttings
- PAYE
- Contemplate glossing picture rails and skirting boards in living room
- Measure for curtains in living room

Welcome back, moam and AnW's mum - I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!:hello:
soappie - yes, quite see your point about vertical blinds. I don't work in an office though, which is probably why they occurred to me!I have seen some lovely ideas in magazines like Ideal Home, and they also have a lot of ideas on their website, which may be worth a look.
I'm looking for curtain poles and curtain material myself, as I've decided that I must put them up in the livingroom - been without for about three years, and actually quite like it! I bought one pole in the B&Q sale, for the french window, but the other two windows are tiny, only 2ft across, and the window pole is 6ft, so it would look ridiculous. I still haven't quite decided if I should get two more identical, and cut them short, or go for a simpler version without finials for the two smaller windows...I'm thinking of going up to The Curtain Factory outlet for the fabric.
I wanted to go to the allotment this morning, but it isn't looking too promising, very grey and damp, although not actually raining. I may just go anyway, there's so much to do! I have runner beans and purple sprouting broccoli plants all ready to go out and nowhere to plant them. I had planned to spend most of the half term there, but the weather put paid to that!
Right, I'll put the chicken in the oven with the timer, and then go!It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Morning all
First wash on the line and second in the machine.
Going to sort yesterday's dried laundry and then to the shower.
DS1 has done another section of his coursework. OH taking the boys to cricket now so I am going to cut the grass whilst they are out as it is very grey here and I don't know how long the rain will hold off.
Finding it hard to prioritise today, garden needs heaps doing, want to do the living room as I'm working all day Tuesday; Washing still everywhere; with kids and OH home it is so slow progress, old shovelling snow provert springs to mind! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
