Michelle I am sure shell does gammon in cola, last time I did it it was on medium for a good 5 hours but sure it'll depend on size of the gammon, mine was huge.

g&b great of the other places to pull together to cover shifts, sounds like he was one heck of a lad to have that much effort made for him. Incase others also want to help in a positive way, depending on what their beliefs are etc of course it might be worth circulating this info http://www.anthonynolan.org.uk/donating/how-to-join-the-register.htm

Managed to get to sleep at about 5am because I went up, awake until 3am when DS2 wet the bed, stripped his bed and remembered the spare duvets were still wet, so he got in with me and proceeded to wriggle for the next hour. I've now got the 2 loads I did last night and then the 2 of bedding to wash, but it's pouring down so where I'll dry it all I don't know, I might end up using the TD for some of it.

DP went away this morning, I tried to tell him about the weather forecast but he ignored me and told me I was wrong (was in a right strop due to lack of sleep, always snappy when he gets up after 4 hrs sleep to go away) Calls me when he gets there to say it's not on and noone there, as if it was my fault that he went, I give up. Anyway him and his friend staying there for a bit, may aswell when they have gone all the way to yorkshire, then he'll moan he got wet when he gets back, men :rotfl:

Today - well the parks not a great idea now, so think I'll make lunch, get something out for dinner, try to get as much laundry as possible on airers and then frog march the boys up to do some more in their rooms because they are still not finished!
One day I might be more organised...........

Yes I do the cola ham. The last one I did was a 2kg piece with one can of cola and an onion but did it on slow for about 4 1/2 hours (I have a meat thermometer so check with that). Then I let it cool and put the treacle, mustard powder and sugar coating on and wack in the oven till its all melted. Hmmmmm food!

good afternoon, one and all! I wonder what is wrong with me? How come that some women (and men) love cleaning and are good at keeping their houses spotless with minimum effort and there is the likes of me, who no matter what I do or how hard I work, the house just ends up in total chaos. I try and keep on top of things like the washing and ironing, which I just about manage. There are just so many "bits" lying around, paperwork, etc.

Enough moaning, so far I have tidied the kitchen (never ending story)

    hung 2 loads out

been to Asda for more pegs and weedkiller

    cooked brunch

better get to it, have a great weekend

Argh why do children's glasses break so often, screw must have pinged out of DS1s, can't find it anywhere, no spares I have fit so will have to go to the metro centre, bums! On the plus side I can go alone as DP is on his way back.....as predicted.

mumoftwo, that's exactly why I am here! ((hugs)) I'm not naturally tidy and neither is anyone else here, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, just ignore it for today and have a day off x

Good afternoon all. Hope you are all having a lovely sunday. DH was on early shift and came home an hour early (yippee!). We are now in the process of getting ready to go to his work for a BBQ. I'm looking forward to it cos the kids will pig out and not need feeding for the rest of the day and i don't have any cooking or washing up to do at all!

Have done 3 WM loads, one dry, one drying and one waiting to go in. Hopefully get it done before we go out!

Have a good day all, speak to you all later!!!

OK bottom of pg 12, Soappie if you haven't sorted out the curtains yet IKEA do some floor trailer ones that you could hem to the right length or like Pigpen suggests put some coordinating fabric on the existing ones.
