Daisy, the colours are lovely in that room - well done!

AnW and others who mentioned Ikea for looooong curtains. Thankyou. Trouble is, I've just checked online and my nearest Ikea is about 2 hours drive away and they don't do allow you to purchase curtains online  which is such a shame as their prices are brilliant!

Pigpen, I'm have toying with the idea of digging out the old sewing machine and making my own but time seems to fly by these days - particularly as I'm out all day - so it would probably take me months to get them sorted!

Could you decide what fabric you want and send one of us who lives closer??? Will they accept curtain orders over the phone if you pay up front and explain to them why you can't get to the shop?

If I was closer I'd make them for you..

    *sigh*

Suppose I should go get dressed..

I've been sitting here for ages supping tea and face stuffing...

savoury mince and mash for dinner tonight.. and corned dog hash tomorrow.. I'll have the spuds all peeled at the same time and bung the SC on in the morning.

Jb has her first physio appointment in the morning so Tiddles is staying dinner and hubby is taking them all to school.

    HHC anyone????

    2:30-3pm
    3:15-3:45pm
    4-4:30pm??

I should have got the house in some kind of lesser level of disorder by then.. hahaha...

Off to dress myself and measure a cupboard and an alcove!

Thanks Pigpen - for the Ikea phoning suggestion and for the offer to make them for me if we were closer. But having looked through the Ikea curtains online, it's so difficult to judge the colour properly, it's probably best I try and source locally. Now, if anyone knows of anyone else that does 3 metre lengths...

thanks shell and lil-me for the tips on the recipe. It's about 1.5 kg, so i guess i should stick it on soon on low. it sounds delicious.

soappie our local dunelm makes curtains too, although i am not sure on cost for that service. can you tell i love that shop ;)

daisydoll that bedroom is looking good. And really tidy too.

gandb i missed your post too. Sounds like the best that could be done for the chap. Obviously well liked by all.

just sent DH to the shop for bread and milk, and the 2 boys are asleep for now.

I have a real lethargy today. Not a tiredness, just a can't be bothered and wanting some me time. I guess i got half an hour when i washed my hair and i am getting 10 minutes now.

The house is a bit of a tip, but that is mostly toys so i am not going round tidying up when DS1 will empty the toy box again for us later. Luckily he will put some of it away again too.

hugs for Gemish.. we had a call from a funeral home when they lost my great aunts ashes as well.. it is hard, but you have to remember that was just his body it wasn't 'him' We said Auntie Edna got fed up of sitting there and just ran away! She never was one for keeping still. They may well turn up again.. keep hope.. and crying is good for you.. They may well have sent them to the wrong funeral parlour.. or included them when they should have stayed there.. stay strong ((((hugs))))

I also, whilst watching Wexford, made some plarn (yarn from old plastic carrier bags for those who don't know) and have started to crochet my own carrier bag out of carrier bags.... It's taking time though - crochetting with wool is MUCH quicker.

Would love to see pics of your crocheted plarn bag.

Welcome back to MOAM and Dusty as well, hope you all had a good time.
