Gemish, what an awful situation, hope it's sorted soon.
DSs have made a start on their room, I'd take a pic of DS1s if I could actually get in there, he's been very told off for having 12 boxes of toys across the floor/futon (no not kidding!! 12!!!) Going to do them lunch then kick them back up there, I'm letting them play out for a bit in the middle of cleaning of course so they aren't stuck in all day.
Studying later when they are in bed. Conservatory is like a sauna until late on so better later. DP has his new car and he's as happy as a pig in poo.
Off to make lunches and do some washer/peg out/bring in swapping round (2 wet beds last night) and clean DS2 whos been in his shed painting and now has blue hands, hope you're all having a good day xOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Unpacking all done and second wash in machine (first on line).
I did not realise that DS1 had his entire GCSE Geography project still to do before Friday coming! Therefore my time on the pc is now very restricted. He has done 2 sections under duress and has now gone to play golf on the promise that he will do the next 2 sections when he returns.
I need to get my head around meal plans and shopping as the cupboards are bare.
Just having a cuppa first.
Garden is soaking and the grass very long, I cannot believe how much everything has grown in just 5 days so there sure must have been some rain here.
Gemish I hope things manage to get sorted out for you soon
Serena belated Happy Birthday to you, hope you had a good dayThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
(((Gemish)))) & (((((Soapie))))) - I agree with some of the other girls - sometimes silence is the best response. If people are writing nasty comments they'll just respond with more even if they are wrong!
Mudbath - LOL at the Alderley Edge comment - I used to work there and have been out there too and its quite funny people watching. Where abouts do you live? I'm in the Stockport area.
   DH hasn't been paid last weeks money so unless it goes in the bank on Monday (would be surprised if it did knowing the agency he works for) we'll be incurring bank charges. How annoying! So well and truly skint til next Thursday. Fortunately with some clever meal planning we'll be OK foodwise and there is petrol in the car so we're not stranded either, so suppose its not too bad just hate getting charged by the bank.
Not done much flying today - taken the girls to the park for a run round and come back and sat down for a bit. Going to get a shower in a bit as working at 4pm. Got a nice prawn thai red curry and naan bread to look forward to for tea tonight after work. Glad I made double last time and froze it.
Right think I'll do a HHC and tidy the lounge. Still got a bit from DD2's bedroom to sort through but most of it done. Very large bin bag of stuff taken to the charity shop this morning. DD1 watching High School Musical 2 - she loves it but think I need to put a stop to all this American TV - she's been talking with an American accent since she was 3! (she's 5 1/2 now):rotfl:0 -
Decided to have a day off today but still managed to be busy. Been to Asda twice as I forgot half of what I wanted. then up the main street for other bits and pieces. Had a look around for birthday pressies as GS2 is 17 and GGD1 is 3 this month.I have done 1 load of washing though.
Serena Yes mum was was quite cheerfull when I saw her.
Soappie Sounds like you have done the best thing as they are probably wanting you to bite and say something which gives them a response. Big hugs for you.
Gemish Big hugs for you too. As for the flying dont worry too much about it just do what you can.
Shell2001 Doesnt sound very safe going to a viewing on your own. Good luck for your driving test. just imagine yourself passing and when you feel panicky over it just take slow deep breaths.
Right off for a cuppa :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: help yourselves.0 -
Hi all! Yes I'm back! Sorry haven't been in for a while. Had a rather short but nasty stay in hospital (slipped 2 discs at the base of my spine) and have been having physio. Told not to do anything so hubby and DD1 and DD2 managed to trash the place so it looks like helmand province on a good day:rotfl: ! I promise come monday I will be back into the swing of it (well sort of!)
.
So far today have managed to sort through a pile of pj's of DD2, have about 20 pairs for ebay, just got to put them in about 5 piles, photograph them and list them! Have also dug out my wedding dress and 2 motorbike helmets (DH doesnt need them since he got rid of his quad bike - the money paid off one of our loans!) so going to photo them later and get them all listed!:D
Doing laundry just now - some countries have food mountains, our house has a laundry mountain! And the bummer is in germany you can't hang washing out after 2pm on saturdays or on sundays - so TD is on overtime!;)

Just checked ebay and got over £100 in bids so far with only 1 item finishing today:money: .
Boddy - thanks for the tip but think I best take a sick bag with me. Dont think me throwing up on the examiner would go down too well. Could say I had morning sickness, they might feel sorry for me then:rotfl: .
Bonsibabe - ouch!! that sounds painful. Make sure you ease slowly back into flying, try a few "flutters" first.0 -
shell - thank you I will ease in slowly I promise! The best part was I did it by losing my footing on the stairs and bouncing down on my rather large behind! Would have been funny if I'd had a few bevvies but unfortunately I was sober!LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

Well, had a lovely lunch with my friend. But boy can she talk! I think she's a lovely lady but she just doesn't stop nattering! If you switch off she'll suddenly pose a question and you're embarassingly stuck for an answer so you have to concentrate! Champagne was nice

Hillarys blind man came - half an hour early! My friend went just after 2pm and after I'd cleared the kitchen I decided I would have plenty of time to paint the radiator in the living room before the start of the appointment block. So there I am, my Dad's old overalls on, just started on the radiator and the door bell rings. So I got him to measure whilst I finished the bit I was doing (didn't want drips!).
But, it seems my main french windows are too long and there'll be a couple of inches of a gap at the bottom which, to my mind, will look dreadful. It's also too wide for the 'standard' width/drop so if it goes wider, the drop shortens which will look even dumber. He also couldn't tell me where, if they did a join, it would be. He thought it would be right down the middle which again, to me would look awful. He couldn't get through to the office as they were closed for the afternoon so he's given me a quote anyway and gone off to get answers to my questions on Monday. But, I don't think I'll go with them - they didn't have any fabric I particularly liked and, presumably, the drop will be a problem with all blind manufacturers so I think I'll have to go with curtains after all.
Never mind, at least I've £20.00 tracked in Quidco for taking out the appointment
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
