I have emailed the seller but the item goes up soon. I'm hoping they will be on to watch it and therefore will se the question in time.
Just had a look, and if it's the one where the seller is based in Portsmouth, I'm almost 100% sure it's a fake kit, sorry. His feedback mentions his kits being Chinese, and that's where the fakes come from.

Yep I believe the same as he told me himself that is where he brought the kit.
Thank you so much Misty Blue you have saved me from wasting my money on a dud. :T  :j:beer: Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
You're welcome.
I just checked eBay and the only seemingly genuine version of that kit is the one from the seller based in Australia! (They mention the number of colours used, and it's 79, which sounds right judging from my own one).
eBay used to be an amazing place for stitching bargains, but you have to be so careful now.I used to have a favourite seller marked who sold genuine kits at great prices, but I can't find her ID.

Misty Blue I believe I will be looking for an online shop from now on. At least I know I can trust them rather than someone on ebay who is trying to make money by swindling people.
Thanks again for all your help:beer: Saving hard for a brighter future!:beer:0 -
You could always ask in one of the cross stitch magazines or forums. Someone might have a kit or at least pattern they no longer want. Might be worth a try.

I have searched all the mags I have here and unfortunately I don't seem to have it anymore. Sorry.:o£2 savers club. No.90. Aim £500.0 -
Thanks for trying for me rainmac and melissa I may have to be brave and try to find the correct bits myself!!
MistyBlue - I've been looking at that pattern as well to make for my sister. I can't believe that people would rip off patterns like that. You've made me more cautious about what patterns I buy now. I wonder how you can tell whether its genuine or not.
Hi siren, I had a trawl through some cross stitch mags last night and found these charts...
Meerkat (this is little but could be stitched and put on a card/ box lid/ bag/ framed in a mini frame etc)...
Big cats...
If you'd like the charts I can post them/ copy and post them? If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
