I thought you had met a new nice one, pm me wiv all da goss xx;)
I have PM'd you....!!! Maybe I could start a blog (if I could figure out how to...!) Squiggly's Adventures in Internet-Dating Land...!!
Ivyleaf, you should definitely get yourself to the doctors, or the emergency one over the BH if necessary.
Janny, sorry to hear people are so rude - it seems to be everywhere nowadays. I was always told "treat others as you would wish yourself to be treated".
Pink-winged, thank you, we are off to the Harvester as the kids can stuff themselves full for quite a reasonable price, and I love their chocolate rocky horror puddingPost the questions from the 8 year old on here - I'm sure we'll come up with some answers for you (they may not be right though...!!)
AB/Tru (& anyone else) = maybe we could find somewhere to shut all the grumpy teenagers up together??:rotfl:

Happy Birthday Charlie's Mum!!!! Have a great day xx
(((((Mrs Mix)))))
PenPin - hope you're starting to feel better
Bethebee - I thought your post last night was lovely and very true
Hester - sorry to read the Katy news!
N9eav - what an awful to happen, especially more than once, I hope the council start to see sense.
Can't remember much else! You're all so busy you put me to shame. Today I've done the shopping, bought some growbags from B&Q (I bought far too many plants for the space in our garden/pots), and put a load of washing in. Then read this thread. That's it! So now I'll have lunch (planning on scrambled egg and tinned tomatoes on toast), then will peg out the washing & get more in the WM, unload the dishwasher, general kitchen tidy, clean the bathrooms, get some plants in the growbags, water the rest, and do a bit of baking. Well thats the plan in my head anyway, I'm sure it won't all get done!
Tea is standard saturday night HM pizza. OH's DD1 may have a friend to stay, but DD2 is out at a party. Looking forward to Doctor Who as usual!
My purse is £50 lighter this week as we had to take one of the cats to the vets - he seems to have got in a fight as he had 2 cuts on his tummy. He needed an injection as it had got infected. It's starting to look much better now. I was surprised they can give 2 weeks antibiotic cover in an injection, I'd never heard of that before.
Have a lovely day everyone.

Well I'm done for and need a cuppa, but it's making me feel ill. I think it's a side effect of the AB's this past week, everything tastes rottenand I feel queasy. Before you all ask, NO I have nothing to tell you!!!!!!!!
On the up side leg of lamb in oven that I got reduced in Sainsburys last night. It will make curry tonight and lunch tomorrow, who know what after that
Fruit bread is out of the panny, but it's too hot to try yet, smells good though.
WM is on again and DD has left me to finish the laundry while she doddles off to town, at least I got her to do the bathroom for me
Might go make some scrambled or poached egg for lunch, Gena's post has made me think that would be nice.
Catch you all later

bargainrzl is your sister to be long in Iraq?0 -
Oh dear - my curtains are about 4inches shorter than they were.....Grrrh!
Thanks for the good wishes re the holiday - we leave on Monday so still time to get house a wee bit tidier! Am hoping that the hem on the curtains is sufficient to let down. That'll teach me to read the labels! Any idea whether that's it, or might they shrink still further next time I wash them?Resolution:

Mmmmmmm
Just wonder how much housework, ironing, cooking, gardening I can negotiate to take on some teenagers, and enjoy a talkative 8 yo? ? ?:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I wonder how long it will take the teenagers to realise that my will is stronger than theirs, and I don't care whether they like me or not! Maybe have some wartime tunes blaring out over the stereo rather than the music they like!:Dthat is usually a good negotiation point to start with :T :T :T No soaps, National Geographic and The History Channel, together with Countdown on the TV:D, oh and if you are hungry - you are cooking and cleaning up after yourselves, me no I'm not hungry  (finds hidden stash of goodies to keep me going;) ).
You want to wear what, and it's not clean or it's not ironed, tough, you know where the washer/iron is. You can't find what, "No I've not seen it".

Rzl, no I don't think you're weird, I share you attitude to that sort of thing.
D-Gal, sounds like you do child rearing the same way I do, tough love is definitely the way to go. I just wish I'd been a tough with Katy from the beginning, lol.
Sqiggly, please do a blog, I love reading them.
