    Morning :hello:

    Happy birthday charlie's_mum :bdaycake:
betheebee - she's your sister and she hasn't left a forwarding address?:( Sounds like she has a lot of problems and you're certainly well shot of her as a tenant.
mrs_mix - glad it was OK yesterday, and ((((hugs)))) to you.
    ((((smokybabe)))) (cos I don't think I've said that for a while :))
N9eav - how horrible - hope the campaign does some good.

Well this is early for me on a Saturday! Was in bed earlyish last night and it's just as well I'm up cos there's lots to be done this morning/afternoon.

Just waiting for the BM to finish then will go for a swim at the gym (gym doesn't open until 10 on Saturdays). Also need to find my local(ish) branch of Johnson's dry cleaners as I have to get a coat and a jacket cleaned (with Tesco vouchers obviously ;)) The coat needs repairing too, so I hope they don't charge me too extortionately for that - it's a bit of a tricky one (a rip behind one of the buttons) and I'm not much of a seamstress so I'm not really confident doing it myself.

Just watching a feature on BBC Breakfast about people getting cold feet about the housing market. My sis and her BF completed on their first house yesterday, and it does sound like they have made a wise buy so I hope they will be OK. They are both in the RAF and sis is off to Iraq on her first tour of duty in a couple of weeks.

Then need to get back here and do some more tidying and cleaning before my mum turns up later.

Oooh, BM just beeped. Must be off.

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning gang, :D

Got a bit of a headache this morning :o , Im going to blame charlies mum, she did not drink her half of the wine, so i had to :D , still a sausage sandwich will get rid of it.

Charlies mum, happy birthday, have a great day xx

Got one load in the machine, which I will hang out, it was meant to be raining today, but its quite nice, overcast but blowy. Also need to hoover whole house and clean throughout, I have freinds coming for drinkies tonight, and I like it to be tidy, need to pop to MR T to get some nibbles for tea, and walk little dog, so thats my day planned.

N9eav, what a terrible thing to happen, I also think there should be a zero tolerence, if I am driving I don't drink at all.

Catznine & Beemused have a great holiday ooo that sounds like you are off somewhere together :D

betheebee good news about the op, when I was reading about your lodger, I could not believe the things you were doing for her, and then to see it was your sister  , perhaps its for the best she has moved on.

Well better get on, have good days all xx

betheebee, just read your post from last night, is was not soppy, just a lovely thing to say, bless you xxx

By the way... the only reason I don't agree with a zero tolerance policy on blood alcohol level when driving is that some medications contain alcohol in low levels which would never be enough to impair judgement... I wouldn't want to see people losing their licence if they happened to be caught at random under such circumstances.

Eek! I just looked out the window and saw yesterdays washing still on the line! :rotfl: Glad it hasn't rained... this domesticated thing really doesn't come naturally to some of us!

    Hiya! :hello:

:bdaycake: Happy Birthday Charlies_mum have a lovely day.

N9eav What a horrible experience for you and your family to go through and to be worrying about the next possible accident in your garden.

Big hugs to those feeling poorly or low.

Well the sun is shining and we're off to a wedding reception this evening. I'm even going to wear a dress  which I hardly ever do. The girls are sleeping over at my parent's and so I'm hoping for a lie-in tomorrow. I should have had one this morning but DH is recovering from the free bar from last night's staff do. I've just dropped off DD1 at orchestra and I'm off out again soon with DD2 for her weekly swimming lesson. The wm is on again and the washing is on the line. The kids are eating at my parent's and there will be food at the do so we'll pobably just have some small hm panini pizza slices before we go out tonight.
Hope you all have a good day! :D

    Morning everyone

    Happy Birthday to Charlie's Mum!
Catznine and beemuzed hope you each have a lovely time on holiday.
mrs mix (((hugs))) to you. You will run the whole gamut of emotions before you feel better. It all takes time - don't try to rush it.
N9eav I hope the drunk driver and his GF pull through - I also hope they have both learned a valuable lesson. good luck with the campaign to get the speed reduced.
catowen I wouldn't be too disappointed about missing the new Indiana Jones film. XDH, DS, DD and I saw it on Thursday and we were totally let down. DS (who wants to be a film director and hero-worships Steven Spielberg) was very disappointed in the direction and I think Steven Spielberg's halo is slightly tarnished now. :D
Betheebee Your sister really doesn't know how lucky she is to have someone as good as you as a sister. I wouldn't be upset at the lack of a forwarding address - I'm sure she will come running back to you when she needs help. What a shame that she has caused you so much expense though.

Re: XDHs, I have to say that my XDH is very good with DS and DD and is always there when he should be. We don't see eye to eye on many, many things (especially maintenance amounts  ) but we manage to keep that from the children. I keep telling myself that it will only be for a few years more and then communication will be minimal.

Well, we were supposed to be in Scotland by now but DS made plans to go to the cinema with some friends this pm and now it might not be happening. If I ask him what's happening, I'm told I'm a nag. Still, I will get organised and we will leave as soon as we can.

I'm a member of my local credit union and received a letter last week telling me it has gone bust! I had my suspicions though as they suddenly changed the borrowing rules and doubled the interest rate for new lending (thankfully I wasn't affected as I have an excellent record of repayments). Looks like some people have been borrowing lots of money with no intention of paying it back. Still, the FSCS is now involved and I will get my money back (less the little bit of money I owe) and that will clear my CC, leaving me debt-free (well, with the exception of my mortgage). :j

Enough waffle from me - DD is hounding me off so she can listen to Eternal on youtube.

    Have a sunny Saturday. xx

    Happy birthday Charlies-mum
Welcome Jackk, Dutchy, Evilspartacus & Sheldon.
Hugs to Smokey, Mrs Mix, PP & everyone else in need.
My whole house is in turmoil today, it has taken me 2 hours to read the thread & will probably take as long for me to type this post.
Katy & her friends are here, screaming & shouting & occasionally packing. They have with them a very small bemused looking man who is the car owner, he looked at the pile of bags in the hall in absolute horror & when I told him most of the stuff is still upstairs & though he was going to cry.
The hi ab driver who has our soil on board has been phoning every 10 minutes as he can't find us.
My work mate is due any minute to drop he dog off.
Hubby has retreated to the garden to continue work on the raised bed, with just occasional shouts for coffee.
I'm hiding on here & just popping into the garden to take pics of the work in progress for my blog later.
    Hugs Hester
